Please let me know how that goes. I am concerned about them canceling last minute.

Had my appointment on time, she called me one minute prior. Went in, did ask she told, and by the time I got home, she called with the negative results. Woo Hoo!

  2. I didn't get a cancelation email from CVS for my rapid tomorrow, so let's hope they don't cancel it on me on-site, because if so there'll be some choice words for their management. I have backups just in case, but I'd prefer not to be driving around town in 105+ heat getting the test done.

  3. I don't plan on getting off at any port on my upcoming Panorama cruise. For one, I've been to all these ports before and they're dealing with capacity restrictions and closures. But the main reason is because masks are required even outdoors in Mexico.

If this was in the winter months, it would be much easier. But wearing a mask outdoors in that heat/humidity, no thanks.

Even once off the ship, it took almost 30 minutes to get an Uber. We made it to LAX by 3 PM. Frankly we were worried about making our 5 PM flight.

These stories are one of the major reasons I changed my flights from LAX to Long Beach. Not going to deal with "Southern California traffic" + who knows when I'll actually get off the ship.

  5. In the "normal" times, every Vegas buffet competed with each other to see who could outshine the other. Now that there's less than a dozen in operation, they're charging whatever they feel and serving whatever they choose, and people are waiting in lines for hours for it.

As someone who's lived in Vegas for 20+ years, if I come back from the 9/11 Panorama and say it sucks, then it truly sucks. This will be my 10th Carnival and I can't say the buffet food on my past cruises sucked.

The last time I checked a bag with the Carnival, my suitcase was crushed.  They got their machine shop to straighten it back out enough I could fly home but that suitcase was toast.

That was also about the time I hit platinum.  So now that I can drop my bag off right away, even if the room isn't ready, I just pack light and only pack my carryon and a bookbag.  Makes self-debarkation a breeze too! 🙂

This happened to me on my last cruise. Took them nearly half the cruise to just give me a Carnival branded luggage. I was more furious about the length of time it took to get a resolution than I was about the bag being ripped to start.

That seems reasonable to me.  We love to watch the comedy shows and it just seemed uncomfortable to me to have to wear a mask the entire time.

This is one of the main reasons I don't intend to wear mine unless it's in mandatory areas of the ship AND it's enforced. I get it. It's good PR for them to be saying "look at all the precautions we're taking" but for the hoops we all have to jump through just to go + no more exemptions, it seems the semi mask mandate is a bit excessive. Just my 2 cents.
