  1. I have booked the Chef's Table for the formal night.  For medical reasons I cannot drink much alcohol (maybe one glass with the meal) but note that a wine is recommended for each course of the meal.  Is it okay to just have the one glass of wine or is it part of the experience that we have the recommended wine with each course?  If that is the case I will have to cancel.

  2. I booked the cruise without HIA and I now wish to add it.  However, I have already booked the excursions and wifi.  If I add the HIA will they automatically refund the excursion allowance and wifi or do I need to cancel the excursions already booked and wifi, then add the HIA and then re-book the excursions so that they come out of the $300 excursion allowance?

  3. The HAL agent told me it did include the US Dollars 17 per day.  I did ask him several times if he was sure as that would be the deciding factor in whether I bought the Have it all package.

  4. I asked and was told the £60 included the gratuities.  When I did a test run the price was in dollars totalled less than £60 per day and the difference in price was the gratuities so I could have purchased it without the gratuities at a lesser cost than £60 per day or could have added pre-paid gratuities and both packages (in dollars) would have totalled £60.

    Hope that makes sense.

I too do not drink much alcohol, maybe a couple a day, so am weighing it up, however, the cruise I have booked have a lot of sea days during which I could drink a few cups of coffee/tea.

They may well have gone off the Ship but I can assure you that Filming Crew will be back on Regal again this month.  We have been speaking to Princess re this and have all the details.  they were in contact with us while we were on SKY FOR and called us when we got home a few weeks ago.

I was not saying the film crew were still onboard!!!

Do you know when in August they are on?

We have arrived at Livorno. Today we have a 4 hour excursion to Lucca as we went to Piza on our last visit here.

    Hi Ken

I am doing the same 21 night cruise from Barcelona next month.  Did you notice if there were any taxis when you docked at Livorno.  Need to get to the railway station and the shuttle bus provided does not appear to go there.

Thank you for the detailed report, it is really great seeing the daily Patters and seeing what is on.

Was the magician act any good?

Hopefully, that's not the case and @CruzerDebis just having too great of time on her cruise and just hasn't had the time to post as of late. I hope that's the case anyway. 🤞 We'll be boarding the Regal in a little over a week in Barcelona for our 21 day family cruise around the Med and plan to post to a "Live from" thread daily.

Look forward to that, doing same 21 day cruise in August 2022 so looking forward to your 'live'.

I just got off the Regal Sat. in Athens after spending 28 days (from FLL) and all 3 dining rooms were open the entire time.  As I recall, one of the dining rooms was mainly for club class.  We ate in the aft dining room on 6 and had the same table every night.  I did not make ressies for it.  The weather was horrible when we got across to Spain.  Very high winds, cold and rainy.  We missed quite a few ports due to high winds until we got to Naples.  Then the weather was lovely.  I did not make any reservations for anything pre-cruise but if there is anything else I can answer, will be glad to.

    Judy from SW Florida

Hope you had a great cruise despite the weather.

Did you book your cruise as a 28 night cruise or as back to backs.  I have booked a 21 night cruise and wondering whether, as it is made up of three 7 night cruises, I will have to go through the procedure of boarding at each 7 night cruise.

Were films shown only on the big outdoor screen or indoors too?

Were the menus repeated every 7 days?

What was the entertainment and was that also repeated every 7 nights?  What were the times for the theatre?

Was there any daytime activities planned for seadays apart from quizes and bingo?

    Who were the guest speakers?

Do you have to book for Alfredos or just turn up?

Was there a salad bar in the Horizon buffet?

Thank you for any help you can give.

  9. Thank you for all your replies.  I booked the cruise as a 21 night cruise and selected the cabin so I should not be moved.

It is a Mediterranean cruise.  I board the ship in Barcelona, the next boarding port is Rome and then Athens.  I really don't want to be hanging around the port as I would prefer to do an excursion or explore on my own.

I might not do all six formal nights - I definitely don't want to pack for six formal nights.  If we were to eat sometimes in the buffet restaurant do they serve the same formal night meal?

We're cruising in August so it will be very hot.  I like to read in the shade but my daughter likes to sunbathe.

We booked with the all inclusive packages which includes wifi.  Are we able to stream films?

  10. I'm booked on a 21 night cruise on the Regal Princess and I noted on my invoice that it was shown as a 7 -7-7 cruise.  Although it travels to difference ports for 21 nights, people can board and debark every 7 nights.

Will I have to get off the ship each time and re-board?

Will the menu be repeated every 7 nights?

How many formal nights will there be?

I hold Carnival shares.  Will I receive $250 as I have booked a cruise 14 night plus or $100 for each portion of the cruise?

Do I have to attend 3 emergency drills?

Thinking of bookiing the sanctuary(?) for a few days.  I like to be mainly in the shade but my daughter likes the sun.  Is there a bed anyone would recommend?

If not in the sanctuary, is there a quiet place on the ship (outdoors) to read?

Does the Regal Princess show films in the theatre?  For movies under the stars I normally find it quite noisy with people chatting as they walk pass etc., where would you recommend watching a film on the big screen?

I don't normally go to the shows but on a 21 night cruise I think I will need to have a bit of variety, which of the shows would you recommend going to?

Is it mandatory to wear masks in the casino?

Sorry for all the questions, so looking forward to cruising again.
