Omni Royal Orleans is one of our favorites. We love the location, restaurant and the view from the rooftop pool and bar.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review!

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We sail on Elation in March. I have read about the age of the ship but that the service is always good on Elation. Service is important to us (me) on vacations...... I'm a bit of a princess....;)
Thanks again!

I am always tempted to stay onboard but so far end up going into port. Maybe someday I will take advantage of the quiet on the ship. Sounds wonderful.
we have been too and decided we would not have to hear "I'm bored, there's nothing to do" this time sooo.....
I'm really looking forward to nothing to do......;)

Thanks so much for the replies.
I kind of thought the dining room might be closed, but was not sure about pools and hot-tubs, both answers are good to know. My vision is a beautiful day on the Serenity deck interrupted only by pizza, ice-cream and cocktail runs. If it rains we will find something inside to do, only to be interrupted by pizza, ice-cream and cocktail runs. :D

my husband I are thinking about staying on-board at both ports, Cozumel and Progresso. (Been there- done both) Sure I know availability will pop up eventually, but it sounds kind of nice to just relax and enjoy a quiet ship. We have always gotten off at each port, but this time, no kids in tow! ;)
For those who stay on board
1. Will a dining-room be open for meals or just the buffet?
2. Will the Serenity deck be even more serene?
3. Are all the pools and hot-tubs open?
4. What do you like to do when you stay on-board at port?
Thank you!:)

Thank you kindly! :D
Now I know to be sure to pack a couple of spray-bottles.

I think you will enjoy the Serenity deck. It's on the back of the ship so the view is great, there are no kids allowed so it's nice and peaceful, the loungers are larger with more padding and are super comfortable, and there is an outside shower.
Also, there is a second smaller pool on Deck 12 at the back of the boat near the basketball court and I think there are showers there.
Great Thank you! So there are some showers near the pool/hot tub areas only? While on Conquest there were showers on an upper deck, but none like that on Elation, correct?
-
We are not fond of the pool or pool area on cruise ships so we prefer to go up a deck to catch a breeze, have fewer people around, and use the outdoor deck showers to cool off. Does Elation have the outdoor showers? Next spring will be our first trip on a Fantasy Class ship.
Thank you!

But keep in mind sometimes your cabin may still not be ready when you board. We are platinum and were the 5th and 6th people to board on the Legend a few weeks ago. We went to our cabin and it wasn't ready. I checked a half hour later and it was ready even though the rest of the cabins in our hallway were still being cleaned. So the cabin stewards do have a list to work from.
How early did you arrive and then board for this trip?
Thank yo!

Tea time is often held in a lounge where a nearby bar is available for you to order a glass of wine and take to your table. On ships where the tea will be served in the dining room I suggest you bring a glass of wine with you.
Thank you!:)

I was so tickled to hear there is afternoon tea.:) I truly enjoy the slow pace and "special" fare of tea time. While I love tea with the sweets I also enjoy a glass of wine with the savory offerings. Will I need to bring a glass with me or can I order when I arrive.
So where should we go for breakfast?

I'll add Elizabeth's for those who don't mind/like getting off the beaten path.
