That's what I was thinking. At first I thought it might be a scheduled drydock but didn't see the Liberty on any of the drydock schedules I found.

Does anyone know why the Liberty doesn't have a sailing the last week of October 2015 (10/24/15-11/1/15)? We are looking at the booking the 10/18/15 Liberty cruise but am curious as to why there is no sailing immediately after?

I haven't gotten sick on a cruise yet, however I've noticed that when I go out of town I tend to get sinus/congestion issues. I just figured it was the different environment I was in. It's surely not going to stop me from traveling!

We will also be on this cruise! 10 adults and 12 kids (ages 6-15).

If it is Carnival insurance and you have not paid in full, then you should be able to log in to your booking and cancel the insurance right there. We just did this recently for our October cruise. It removed the insurance and adjusted our balance accordingly.

We are booked on the 10/13/14 Freedom sailing....5 days (HMC, Nassau, Grand Turk). Does anyone know what night is the elegant/formal dinner?

Could you fly in to a U.S. airport, then catch a flight to San Juan? This way you can enjoy the entire cruise. Not sure how it is over there, but I can't seem to book flights more than a year out.

I believe MOST of us know how to help. And which posts to ignore. :rolleyes:

 

If you give us the exact date needed we can lead you to some reasonable choices. More suite hotels are located closer to the airport. But the airport is only 15 min or so from the port. Some hotels offer free airport and port shuttle services.

I had actually posted this question for my friend who is going on the cruise with us. I gave her everyone's suggestions and she plans on looking in to those hotels. Thanks again guys!

Does anyone know of any hotels that can accommodate 6 people (3 adults, 3 kids) in one room near the Port Everglades port?

Saturday was a relaxing day exploring the Chesapeake Bay area.

 

The Tiki Bar I think was on Soloman's Island or near Soloman's Island. They were cleaning the place up when we were there, but soon it will be a major seasonal attracting and draw thousands of people to the area;

 

 

We expected our pre cruise would all be in town, but as it turned out we were in more of a coastal beach area than I expected;

 

 

Some areas were very much like Murrell's Inlet in South Carolina;

 

 

 

 

Skipping stones isn't perhaps a traditional beach activity, but it is back home here in WV;

 

Love your reviews! We were in DC the weekend of the Cherry Blossoms and it was total madness! Not sure I'd do that again.

It was pretty cool to see pics of my local area...we live about 10 minutes from the Tiki Bar.

No one talks about it or has reviewed it becuase it is not a regular cruise. It is just a shorter cruise to fill time between dry dock, and freedom resuming its regular 8-day and 6-day alternating cruises.

I don't know think that's necessarily true. We have the Freedom booked for the 5-day cruise on 10/13/14...several months after the drydock.

We were in Nassau in November 2012 and the water was really cold to all of the adults in our party. The kids, however, didn't seem to mind and played in it all day.

What a great review! You guys aren't too far from us...we live in Southern Maryland (St. Mary's County). We'd love to try cruising out of Baltimore...no airfare and very little driving!
