I'm curious to know whether you can have people visit you on board when a ship is in port. My gut says this wouldn't be allowed, but I thought it's worth an ask.
My mum is not a cruiser (not great on the water at all) and we are trying to persuade her that the large ships are very different to a ferry - which is what she's comparing them to!
We are thinking of booking the Anthem UK 5 nighter, and when it docks in Belfast, it'd be great if my mum could have a day pass for us to show her around etc. It may get her a bit more interested in the idea of cruising as the prospect of great food and live theatre every night is right up he

I have stayed in an interior cabin before and hated it because it was so dark. I am trying to see if I am missing something. If you prefer them, why?
Save money, also because is very dark we love it when we take a nap in the afternoon.
Also a cabin is a place to sleep get dress and sleep.
We spent most of the time out, dancing shows exploring the ship.

If you are vaccinated...have you considered Celebrity.. they are going with the higher 95% threshold and so far are mask free because of the high percentage of vaccinated...or course things could change there too..but at least you have a nearly total vaccinated cruise. It might require traveling out of another state..so flying.. which is a whole other 'kettle of fish' so to speak
Never will consider celebrity.
Thanks for the reply,

We are booked for Sept 19 and 26 2021, Oasis from NJ.
We are not sure it we should go, Anyone who is booked have any feelings about this?
We want to go its being a long time but the new protocols changes almost every day makes us think.
Now even though we are vax,we have to show proof that we are ok also mask wearing social distancing.
We like to hear from others.
Thank you and best regards,

Hello all!
First of all I do NOT want to start a debate on getting/not getting the COVID-19 vaccine. Royal Caribbean is requiring everyone to be fully vaccinated to board their ships. I am wondering how the cruise lines are going to verify if the vaccine cards provided are legitimate since there is not currently a vaccine passport. Anyone can make or purchase “fake” vaccine cards these days.
Hi:
Excellent point, dont pay attention to anyone who says thats not my problem it will be if you get sick.
Looks like some people lived in a world that is nice and rosy..
Maybe they have their head bury in the sand..Wake up this a really a rough world.Anything can be fake
Money, passports you name it if you can pay we got it..They attack capitol hill...Anything you say here
is debated for the wrong reasons.
We agreed it is very good point, looking at card very easy to fake. There it should a way to verify the
card, except for the dob everything is wide open.

We think they should bring back a list of all passengers in the ship to all ..
Like they did in the past Put it in the cruise compass for all to see. W e could have a relative in the ship.
If someone dont want it say no to be in list say no..We could have a cousin a niece ..
It will be nice to know that someone we know is the cruise.

Thanks for your reply don't' wish to continue with this.
Perhaps you don't know, when we cruise we get double point for the full amount of the cruise.
ex: If we pay $2000.00 we get 4,000 points which goes toward OBC, 5,000 =$50.00 on board credit..
I knew what the answer was about the double points, but you never know I liked to know for sure.

It varies. some have reported getting points for the number of days they were on the ship but I believe that most have received points for the full voyage. Never heard of anyone getting 0
The best to dad if serve in the arm forces even better....

@ourusualbeach I do actually have a question about pts, doubled or not.
Do you get 0 if you dont complete the cruise? I've told my mom if there is a emergency call rcl and get a msg to me on the ship and I'll get off the next port and fly home, assuming that's allowed.
With my dad being 102 something could happen. Nothing i could do except come home no matter the pts, they come first. Just curious.
Bless your dad the best...

If you are D+ you should know that points are based on nights sailed and have nothing to do with the cost of the cruise
Thanks

Pts are based on days cruised. Awarded when you come back. You dont get loyalty pts until you complete the cruise. If you would get 1 pt you get 2, if you would get 2 pts you get 4 pp per day, if you get 3 you get 6 pp per day (solo in suite)
Doesnt matter as long as you booked before the end of this year and sail next year in 2021
Thanks for the reply..

Crown and Anchor membership points only. Are you with C&A?
If so...just very simple, you get double the C&A points per day for 2021 cruising.
And that is a big "IF" when and where the cruises will even begin in 2021.
Yes diamond plus
Booked for sept 19 and 26 2021
Also for Dec 12
Love to see you there
Thanks for the reply

First question is No....has nothing to do with any payment. It’s number of days sailed.
2) There’s variations here, for solos and those in suites, but the simple answer is yes. 7 day cruise= 14 points.
3) Yes, as long as those current bookings sail in 2021.
4) Yes, as long as future cruises are in 2021 and booked by 12/31/20.
Its worth it to glance through the thread that Neverbeenhere attached. It answers a lot of questions.
Thanks for the reply.....

Double points means double the Crown and Anchor points you would get for that cruise.
Yes, it applies to existing bookings.
Yes, it applies to future bookings for 2021 if booked by 12/31/20.
Does not answer the question, read the question...

Need some clearance on this double points.
Does double points means that we get double points for the full amount paid for the cruise?
Or double points for the number of days in the cruise?
Also do we get double points for the current bookings?
Or maybe double points for future cruises>
Best regards
