  1. We are Diamond Plus and finally able to cruise again!  We booked a B2B in June and was trying to plan our onboard options and noticed these DP staples aren't listed on the C&A benefit chart. Do these benefits still come with the DP status?:

    1 FREE picture?

    FREE Laundry bag?

2 Days of FREE Voom/on-line internet service?

    BOGO specialty restaurant?

Thank you in advance for your insight!

Mariner does not have Broadway style productions on either of their 3/4 day sailings.  They have the Royal Caribbean Troupe doing a production show.  No matter what ship we have been on that had the Royal Caribbean Troupe Production shows we have always enjoyed them.  We sailed on Mariner in Nov 2018, so nothing would have changed on her.   On another night their usually is a comic.  We have always found the entertainment just fine, even though not the Broadway production shows of her bigger sister ships.

Thank you!!  I appreciate your insight!

  3. We are on a RCCL cruise in June and want to see if there are any private lobster tours? We booked one through RCCL but they cancelled it.

The tour was only 2 hours and you only experienced how they catch the lobsters.  Any help with this option?

    Thank you!

    Chuck

  4. What exact date and ship are you considering? Hitel budget? How many people? Bed size considerations? What exactly do you plan to see for your day in NYC?

The economics will vary depending on your dates, number of people, and whether you have a car.

We will be staying June 7th, economic budget (not a dump) , 1 room/2 people, and deciding on a car or no car.....If the price is better we will drive.... If not we can fly from Ohio, take Uber to the hotel, port and return to the airport.

I'm not sure on park n drive costs....We could add a day to have a nice NYC experience.

We stayed at the Best Western Robert Treat on Park Street.....Easy location to Penn Station and the Path.

Looking at transportation without a car from the hotel to pier the taxi wants $70 and Uber says $17..??

    Lots of questions?

    I hope this helps!

Thank you Carol! You are the expert on CC! :)

    Thank you!

Lots of good options to consider!! Personally, we really loved Barbados with its history, character, variety, etc. As my live/blog, plus other links below detail and show, there are nice potentials to consider in the Dutch ABC's. But, it takes more sea-day/time getting over there and back. Personally, St. Maartens can be a little (or a lot) overcrowded and congested. No one cruise schedule is going to be perfect and ideal as there are such differences and variety among the many different Caribbean islands. Hopefully you can spend some added time in and around San Juan, especially its charming Old Town area.

Below are a few visuals and ideas related to your options in Barbados that we enjoyed so much.

Super loved so different many parts of the Caribbean!!! See more details and lots of great visual samples/examples at this link: "Barbados: Our Pix's, Experiences Feb./2015!":

From our Jan. 25-Feb. 20, 2015, Amazon River-Caribbean combo sailing over 26 days that started in Barbados, here is the link below to that live/blog. Lots of great visuals from this amazing Brazil river and these various Caribbean Islands (Dutch ABC's, St. Barts, Dominica, Grenada, etc.) that we experienced. Check it out at:

Before boarding our ship, we did a three-hour private tour with a Barbados taxi driver. He took us all over this historic and scenic island, including to the top where the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea come together. Is this a dramatic and scenic location? Does my wife’s smile say it all?:

Here are a few more visuals samples from our three-hour private tour around Barbados. This includes their Parliament building in main downtown, my wife loving this stop at one of their top beaches, visiting their historic St. James church and going through one of their older towns along the coast. Lots of nice homes and areas in this northern part of Barbados.:

Here is one example for what saw when walking from the port to the main part of town in Barbados. This includes the local island fish market where this merchant showed us a look at one of his large fish.:

  6. We have a party of 4 adults and are looking for a nice beach to relax and have a few drinks. I've been to Paradise Beach and wasn't overjoyed with it. What are other options besides an all inclusive? We have light drinkers. SO, maybe group rate? HELP!!

    Thanks for your thoughts!

  7. Hi, slightly-neighbor!

C&A is short for Crown & Anchor.

This is the "loyalty program" for Royal Caribbean.

You accumulate points, and thus status levels, by sailing, at the rate of one point per night, or two points per night if in a JS or above, or two points per night if sailing solo in a cabin intended for double occupancy, or three points per night if sailing solo in a JS or above.

Details of the program are here on the RC website:

    http://www.royalcaribbean.com/cas/

It is a marketing and selling tool that RCCL uses to keep you coming back.....It works for us!
