A Deck 9 Aurea Suite with long Balcony from Margureite Thiebuad.
This is a Balcony cabin with a long balcony! shame on you MSC for calling it a Suite, the balcony appears to just be painted Green. So glad we moved to an Aft cabin from one of these. As I have said elsewhere they have once again overspent money on a few areas at the cost to the so called Aurea Suites.
Yeah it looks like the concrete decking surface is just painted green. I expected it to be a synthetic grass which would have been cool and unique. The painted surface is pretty weak.

Are we talking about the panoramic elevators on the very back of the ship or other lifts?
Sent from my iPhone using Forums
I can't imagine that MSC would limit the panoramic elevators to such a small group of passengers especially when they are making a pretty big deal of having those elevators.

Easier. (y)
That drop at the end of the water slide looks pretty intense. It will really catch me by surprise.

I think every single cabin has by now been displayed with pictures and videos except for xx002 and xx003! Why? What’s wrong with them?
(We have 13002 for Feb 10)
True. I'm in 9002 on the Feb 10 sailing and I'm very curious to know what that cabin and balcony are like. I'm under the impression that it should be a fairly large cabin but the layout is a complete mystery.

OK, I take NO responsibility but here is the result of the Holy Grail .... a Seaside Inside Yacht Club Suite.
I was watching a Russian ship tour (I know, I know .... ) but you can hear the words "Yacht Club" and the video most definitely shows the markers as deck 16. As there are NO other inside cabins on deck 16, here you go ...
Unfortunately, my first thoughts were: "Sweet Petunias, Lipstick on a Pig!" ....
It's just an inside cabin on any other ship with a whole lot o' benefits...
MSC really should be ashamed of themselves for calling this a Suite.
Watch at 3:20 ...
Enjoy!
I'm pretty sure that the door sign in the video for the suite says 18033 which is a larger, square, handicapped suite.

Any pictures of the astro-turf balconies on deck nine yet?

Cool but that "conference room" table looks really out of place in that suite.

Neutral is blah, bold makes a statement! Look at the public spaces of ships - most are vivacious, not neutral or reserved.
I have no problem with bold colors or design choices but the burgundy/purple carpets are not a good design choice in my opinion. As others have already mentioned it is very 80s in nature. A lot of newer hotels and commercial designs are using neutral tones in a bold manner by using patterns and color accents which is what these staterooms need.

Thank you for these great pictures! I truly have been enjoying seeing each and every one of them and appreciate it!
Is there any possibility of seeing a YC1 cabin? It's a regular balcony YC cabin on Deck 16.
Regarding the picture above of the whirl pool suite, although we are not on vacation to watch TV, the placement of the TV seems a little odd and rather hard to see if on the bed. I personally don't like the color of the carpet either (reminds me of the 90s) but the ship looks beautiful and cannot wait to board in February!
Yeah the red/burgundy carpets are pretty awful. I'm surprised that the designers wouldn't go with something more neutral.
If anyone has access to pictures of 9002/9003 I would like to see the layout of those cabins.

It is probably because of all the anticipation, hype and discussion but I'm a little disappointed with the aft suite as seen so far. I was expecting something a little more exciting and special. I don't have one booked though so it won't change my enjoyment of the cruise.

The MSC USA website says that it is undergoing maintenance/upgrades until Monday morning. Hopefully this includes some new information on Seaside.

Now that there is a monetary value assigned to drinks in the classic package (max $5 beer, $7.50 wine and $8 cocktail) will that value be used as a credit if more expensive drinks are ordered? On my last NCL cruise when I ordered a drink that was more expensive than the allotted cost in the drink package I only had to pay the difference. It worked great for the few times when I wanted a good glass of scotch that wasn't included in the drink package. I only had to pay a couple bucks for the upgraded scotch.

We just booked cabin 9002 which is a front wrap and has a large balcony. What is everybody opinion of this cabin? We are hoping the balcony is really as large as it is advertised 409 square feet and the cabin is 296.. We really cannot find any pictures that we can determine how wide it is..We enjoy having lounger on our deck and we cannot tell how wide it is. Thanks☺
We have 9003 booked for our cruise and I'm really interested in finding out what the balcony and cabin are actually like. I'm hoping it is a nice wrap around deck. Based on the deck plans the suite looks like it should be considerably large and I'm curious to know if the front port holes are part of 9002/9003 or if they are 9001.

Damn, $250 onboard credit is sold out. Only redeemable on new bookings made through the MSC Cruises Casino department. I would have redeemed for our Feb 2018 Seaside cruise but I don't think it would be applicable.

What I consider the best may not be the same as someone else's "best". But after several cruises, Atlantis is one of my fave Eastern Caribbean excursions. I like to have at least one "natural beauty" excursion where we see something at a port that exemplifies that regions natural beauty. So in San Juan, we are renting a car, going to the rain forest, then hitting a beach near the port if we have time. In St. Maarten, I feel like a lot of the more beautiful beaches aren't family friendly (nudity) so we are going to Sonesta Maho Beach for the day.
Atlantis is super fun and definitely worth the $$ imo. Even if you don't have kids lol.
I have a slightly different experience with Atlantis. I thought it was really over rated and not worth the money. I was excited to go and had high expectations, I was previously planning a separate trip to the Bahamas just to stay at Atlantis. The water slides were a big let down. I expected more water slides. 4 of the main slides were closed. The water park is really showing it's age and almost feels a little run down. The lazy river was awesome though expect that finding a tube was a huge hassle.
My favorite excursion was hiring a private fishing charter in St Thomas. That was a great experience and we caught some really cool fish with a great guide. We hooked a tuna but couldn't bring it in. Almost caught a shark as well.

Maybe it is referencing the family dinner program where the dining room expedites meals for kids and then the kid's program staff come and pick up the kids so that the parents can finish dinner alone.

This looks like a new video from MSC of the Royal Suite:

Not quite sure what will stop anyone not in an Aft cabin from calling the lift/ elevator cars? Unless like the YC they have a different card or whatever device MSC come up with.
Jcchris ... Thanks for adding the link that eroller mentioned.
I would assume that there will be card readers at the elevator doors and the aft suite guests will have to swipe their cards to get the elevators to stop at their floor when necessary.

I know. I'm just trying to figure out what type of people are booked on her.
Purely speculation as no one really knows but I'm expecting an atmosphere similar to the big NCL ships (Escape, Getaway, etc.) although with a slightly more "upscale" clientèle.

Does anyone know what Seaview is doing from Nov 2018 to March 2019? I might be interested in a Feb 2019 sailing in the Med if Seaview is there and if we have a good experience on our Seaside cruise scheduled for Feb 2018.
-
If you don't want to hang out at the crowded main pool/hot tubs there are a couple of hot tubs on the forward part of deck 19 that were mostly empty when we sailed on the Escape.

With another Princess ship and the new NCL ship going to Alaska in the summer of 2018 hopefully that produces some great incentives. I'd love to check out the new NCL Bliss ship in late August 2018. Seattle or Vancouver round trip for under $2000CAD per person in a balcony with kids sail free would be ideal.

I'm not a big cruise passenger but all these new MSC ships have me really interested and intrigued. I'm booked on Seaside and might consider something like Bellissima. Meraviglia Plus sound like monsters though. Those guys might be too big for me at 6300 passengers. That just seems like way too many people.

I think we'll have to wait until the ship arrives in Miami for corner suite pictures. I was hoping that someone would post something by now but it doesn't seem to be the case.
