I have to disagree that vegetarians need to contact special needs.
In my experience if there is nothing to your taste on the menu then ask for something else. If you have problems, ask to see the Head Waiter who, in my experience, will sort it out then and there with a minimum of fuss and will even go through the following days menu and offer alternatives if there is nothing to your taste.
From then on after dinner your waiter will automatically offer you the following days menu to check everything's ok.
This has been my experience on Carnival, Celebrity and Princess, I don't see why it would be any different on RCI.
I'm just talking about vegetarians.

If the bar server is no where to be seen, I tell one of the waiters that I require a drink, not had a problem so far.
If I ever did I would go and get drinks from a near by bar.
-
I had the same issues
Confirmation Invoice from Travel agent shows
ALLinc & BOGOHO
Confirmed with RCI that is was the select package. However they didn't have the kids booked so had to pay for that myself and then claim it back from Travel Agents as they claim it was an error.
My invoice say Allinc & BOGOHO on two seperate lines and deducts two varying amounts of money but I have not got any YG** codes listed any where on my invoice ????That is the select package, it refers to the 2 offers you received when booking, Select drinks package and Buy One Get One Half Off.

please ignore, my mistake.

It is customary to tip a few $'s for room service, it is up to you. you do not need to tip for collection, only delivery.
-
When you go to a bar most beers are covered by the Select Package, but if you want wine ask them what wines they have covered in your package.
Don't feel forced or let them persuade you to buy anything outside your package unless you want to.
You don't have to spend an extra penny if you don't want to.

...How many restaurants let you bring your own liquor or sodas in with you?...
Quite a few in the UK.

Pompeii, or even better Herculaneum.

Strange as the upgrade from Select to Premium shows as $15 on Royal's site and that's what I paid on Anthem out of Southampton last year.

That's the problem, they keep moving the goal posts.

As always a great answer from Bob.
I'll be on the Navigator just before you so hopefully I'll be able answer a few of those questions when i get back.

Run out and buy British pounds! :o
Why what good will that do me.

I'm Sorry to hear that you can't enjoy Casino Time while Cruising. However I can say that you are NOT allergic to smoke as it is not an allergen. You may have a sensitivity to smoke as it is an irritant, but definitely not an allergy.
Whilst technically not a true allergy smoke has some very real unpleasant effects on some people.

How about you take who you are given.

.............with the lard and frying grease used in Johnny Rockets why is it still called a veggie burger?
With health and religious issues, I would be very surprised if everything was cooked in lard.

Just got off Navigator this morning and shop shut the entire cruise because it was only traveling between EU countries, so no Duty Free.
I've never seen that.
-
Keep in mind that the drink packages include the bars onshore in Labadee....
The Navigator is in Europe now........... under 2 months till our Med trip on her :D
@schapstic
On 3 recent Celebrity cruises with a drinks package, I have never had a problem getting service, from a waiter or directly from the bar.
I think you have been very unlucky.

Don't ever go to France ( or most places in Europe) where dogs in and sitting at tables is perfectly normal [emoji190].
Maybe in street cafes, but not in restaurants, you would have a hard job taking a dog that wasn't a guide dog into a UK restaurant.

... In a perfect world I'd just link to my blog. It is much easier to follow and includes tons of photos. However, it contains tons of personal info so I'm having to edit and re-type here...
Thanks for the review, bit confused as to why you have a blog but don't want anyone to read it though?
-
I've been on 3 Celebrity cruises in Europe and have never seen the bars anywhere near that busy, one deep at worse.

I strongly suspect the real goal here is to catch the cheating/sharing crowd. It'd be easy to program the computer to alert the bartender that a patron had purchased six drinks ... and then the bartender could investigate whether a questionable pattern exists.
In my experience bar tenders don't care who drinks the drinks as long as they get the tips.
Many times in the casino I have ordered 2 beers from both my card and my wifes and drank them both to the point that they soon just hand them both to me.
They do however react to drunk people and quite rightly withhold service to anyone too drunk.

It has been muted for some time.
Consider a normal day on vacation
2 small wines with lunch
2/3 beers during the day
1 beer/wine/liquor while dressing for dinner
2 small wines with dinner
2 beers during evening entertainment and casino.
What section is one going to give up? :(
For our welfare, or to save a couple of beans?
You lightweight, I'll probably have twice that per day on my next cruise and I really don't care what spookywife or anyone else thinks to be honest.

Thanks to all that answered my question.
vanessa have a look at the flyer posted here:
http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2351645
$64 +18% the amount RC are charging varies quite a bit by different sailings, as someone said "they are charging what they can get away with".
Even $15 sounds to much.
-
Am I right in saying that when you buy a drink that is higher than your package allows you only pay the difference with RC rather than the full amount like you do with Celebrity?
If so I will do that rather than upgrade to those ridiculous prices on board.
Now I know why they wont let you upgrade before hand from the "free" select package.
My first cruise in July with RC may well be my last.

What a rip off.
N.O.S drinks package
in Royal Caribbean International

I understand what you mean darrencolne, we will be on the Navigator soon and I am planning to do the same as we can only upgrade once on board as you know.
I have seen the on board upgrade cost reported to vary from $11 to $25 per day, it's not clear how they decide.
