More bad news, just yesterday we were notified our Majestic cruises are cancelled in late 2026.

I had paid a deposit while on board with Virgin earlier this year but since they cancelled Australian future cruises I rang Virgin in Sydney and received a full refund.

It's now been two weeks since the web cams have been frozen. For a big cruise company with multiple IT issues with their apps, I should not be surprised.

Princess bridgecam is still stuck, I'm trying to following my friends on cruises and it's last update is July 22... is this still a problem for you too?

Just received a notice of changes to ANZ Platinum complimentary International travel Insurance today.
I'm just checking to see if anyone else received the notice in the mail, as I could be reading this incorrectly.
Insurable events before the 7th June 2024 don't change but events on and after 7th June 2024 some things will change.
International Travel Insurance:- Period of cover for Platinum Credit Card cardholders -(In 2023 the period of cover was six consecutive months) has now changed after 7th June 2024 to:- three months consecutive insurance for cardholders, their spouses and/or dependants.
There are other changes but this one is more important to me if I was on the 113 day World Cruise in 2025.
thanks in advance.

Shocked that Princess is now charging for Chef's Table dinner and wine $207 AUD per person on our 10th December 23 cruise, a big jump in price.

Our friends are onboard. A delayed sail out tonight. It should be beautiful evening for sailaway. Enjoy the cruise.

I love going to Afternoon Tea, and will keep on going until they start charging for it. 🙂

What happened to visiting ports such as Newcastle, Gladstone and Townsville in winter. Even Batemans Bay (for Canberra) used to be on itineraries, although you need to use tenders. Pacific Explorer could visit those ports as I have been on similar size ships to those ports.

Questions I would like to ask:-
1.When I phone Princess, why do I get a different answer to the same question. They say they will ring back and never do. So I ring and ask the question again, again a different answer etc say they will ring and never do. So frustrating... Surely they have a manager they can ask...
2. Why do you have formal nights and then allow passengers to walk into the MDR with ripped tshirts, shorts or baseball hats.
3. First section of the Around the world cruises from Australia, always they same old same old ports to Dubai.
4. When will the Circle Pacific cruises resume from Australia. They are very popular.
5. Why does my Ocean Ready profile still shows me cruising on the Royal Princess in Mexico when I booked a New Zealand cruise for 2023 and the ship has been repositioned back to USA.

I was on this cruise and we enjoyed the food especially Angelo's. We did the Luke Mangan Degustation meal one night which was fabulous. We found the coffee at Charlies ( Level 5) very good, but if you wanted a large size, you had to have it in a takeaway cup. Waterfront Restaurant for lunch was nice, the dinner menu was OK but that may have been what I chose. We enjoyed our time on the ship, first P&O cruise for hubby since P&O Canberra... a long while ago

Anyone thinking of booking the 46 day river cruise.
Have never been on a river cruise but the itinerary is interesting....

Cruised out of OPT on the Canberra and old Oriana. Streamers, marching bands...and enjoyed showing friends and family who came on board around the ship.
There use to be a cruise terminal at Jones Bay Wharf in Pyrmont in the 50's and 60's. The wharves are still there, only now its restaurants and small boutique businesses. Doltone House function centre is now there too...seen many a wedding there.

Was looking through a roll call and someone has recently posted:-
"Just talked with Princess Cruises and found out that from October 2017 all Princess Shore Excursions must be pre-paid. ( can still be cancelled and full refund received)"
Has anyone else heard that you now have to prepay shore excursions. I know I have received a notice "Shore Excursion Payment Due" for next January cruise but it had no pay by date that I could see.
Confused.....:o
Yes all my excursions that I have booked have disappeared, this is new....the notice below as I re booked said :-
"Unpaid excursion(s) in your shopping cart will clear within 24 hours. Please move excursion(s) you will not buy today to your wish list".

The Pacific Eden must have left earlier this morning as the Maasdam is being moored into spot. So the passengers had two wonderful nights at White Bay ... in the rain.
Cancellation of round Australia Crown Princess Nov 2025
in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Posted · Edited by aussielil
I had the 23 Nov 25 Around Australia booked. I understand they cancelled and assumed they would transfer me to the same cabin on the earlier date of 26 Sep 25. Well that didn't happen, I was on deck 10 and they placed me elsewhere. Can you believe I was told that my cabin had been booked/sold and I had to change to another cabin. How hard is it to transfer everyone to the new date then sell those cabins passengers no longer want. What the....
