  1. Room capacities are set up based on life jackets and muster stations. DCL will not do anything to help you exceed their stated cabin capacity. What you do yourself is your own business and I am sure that families end up with an imbalance in multiple cabins, but you won't get any help from DCL to make it happen.

  2. Booked on Freedom 4/12/2015. Pretty sure I will get enough to eat. I'd be happy to eat right in between early and late seating anyway so I will take some flexibility if it comes my way.

My main concern with DD has to do with allergies-my wife and daughter both have dietary restrictions and I don't know how well that will translate to a "non-MDR" setup. It has been nice to get all of the allergy stuff out of the way the first night and not have to revisit the topic every time we show up to eat.

  3. Trunk Bay is beautiful and worth the trip.

However, the ferry ride over from St. Thomas can be VERY choppy.

    VERY.

We did the ship's excursion on Fantasy in April and had a really scary trip over to St. John. 45 minutes of rocking and rolling-everyone sitting outside on the main level of the ferry was completely soaked to the skin-we are not talking sea spray here-we are talking waves coming up over the bow.

Next time we will likely take a cab to Red Hook and ferry over ourselves-the cab ride is longer but the ferry ride is shorter and in calmer waters.

  4. How was Port Everglades? were there huge line ups the morning you got on? Hearing some horror stories of big slow loving line ups!!!!

I was on the 1/15 sailing as well.

Arrived at the port via taxi around 10:40. Was shown to what turned out to be some sort of early check in line. 15 minutes to the desk to have seapasses issued. Another 10 in the waiting area by the portable toilets. On the ship by 11:15. Bags in front of the door when we were allowed into the hallways at 1PM. About as smooth as embarkation gets.

We had a great cruise. The ship is not new but is well maintained. I agree with the above comments about it being a "happy" ship. Would not hesitate to book on Navigator again, though we will probably sail on Freedom next.
