  1. I live in Progreso, and would recommend a trip to one of the many cenotes in the area. Some are more commercialized than others, but several offer an interesting and relaxing day.
  2. My son and I did this in June. It was our favorite port day ever. The hardest part is getting out of the port, as it is a long way to the gate. I would recommend you take a taxi from the ship to the train station. And make sure you don't go to the station close to the post. Go to Station Casa Voyougers. (Sp)
  3. I booked directly with MSC. Maybe if I had used a Ta I would have an advocate. My reason for the refund was also a missed cruise due to sickness. They approved the refund. They just won't give it to me. Today they emailed me and asked me to prove my residency in a country I do not live it. And they have a copy of my passport! 🤷
  4. There are many more reasons that your TA refuses to offer MSC cruises. MSC nickels and dimes you to death. Their photographers (of which there is an army) constantly hound you to buy photos. Every announcement is advertising more opportunities to spend. And the daily paper is half advertising to sell you more stuff! But the worst, especially for your travel agent, is the fact that MSC if a private company, and answers to no one. Not shareholders, not Travel agents, and certainly not you. They have owed me $3500 for over 6 months and constantly give me new reasons that they cannot pay me. This morning I was told that I needed to provide a copy of my passport. To get a refund?!! Each month they send me a refund order and tell me that I should have it in a few days, then after I email them 5 times asking for an update they tell me that something is wrong. Or they need this. Or that. They refuse to refund to my credit card. Nope. Too easy I know what your TA is thinking but not saying. Because of the dishonesty of MSC she won't do business with them. I wish I had listened to your TA.
  5. I had to cancel an MSC cruise and was told I would get my refund in 15 days. It's been over 3 months. They keep telling me that my SWIFT info is incorrect, but my bank keeps confirming that there is no problem on their end. MSC refuses to credit the account that paid for it. Any suggestions?
