Are you asking where to go to book them or where they are located in port? You book them as a shore excursion through the cruiseline. They are located right at the end of the pier at Margaritaville. Here are a few pics. Hope this helps!
Yes, Thank you.

Where do you find said Cabanas at Grand Turk? Is there a link or can you direct me to be able to find them? I will continue looking to try and find it myself as well.
Thanks!

I just don't understand how people pay hundreds of dollars for a cruise and then get all upset about tipping the last people to handle your luggage before it gets put on the ship....
I know it is a hot topic for some, but when I am about to begin my wonderful cruise, giving a few bucks to a porter is just not a big deal to me.
Happy sailing everyone!!!
The porters at Port Canaveral don't work for the cruise lines and they are union Dockworkers making ~$30 and hour...... I tip but not sure at that price they are providing a service or doing a job?

Did the review stop there?

We are booked at the Bahia Mar FLL Beach Double Tree for October. $126 a night. Seems like good reviews, laid back and a stones throw to the beach. Seems OK to me.

Thanks for watching and checking out my channel! We did stay the night before! We stayed at the Comfort inn and suites (191 SW 19th Ct
Dania, FL 33004) We personally just used uber to the port! I can not say enough about it being the best cheap option! Any more questions let me know! I will be happy to answer!
Did you have any issues with your Uber driver being able to get into the port area? I had read another review where the Uber Driver had issues.
Thanks!

Great area! While I haven't stayed at the hotel, I wouldn't hesitate to. It is also the headquarters for the billion dollar boat show.
Bahia Cabana is very popular with locals and tourists alike, great food.
Thank you!

We always make a point on hanging at Bahia Cabana. It's a block away, sits directly on the marina. Indoor and outdoor eating. Note...VERY causal, popular with boaters. Think wooden picnic table type place. It always starts our time away from the cold winter perfectly. And I never pass their fresh fish "sandwich". yummy
There of course are other "nicer" places. We just like to head here after the long flight our first day. No need to get "dolled up" or break the bank. "Chill out" is our motto here.
Excellent. That's what we are looking for in laid back.

Disregard... Found my answer.

We've stayed here several times. Moderate hotel, usually best rates for a beach hotel. Great location for walking, water taxi, trolley, restaurants etc.
Some cruisers want the busy 17th Street hotels. Not us. We prefer beach views and walks.
Awesome! That's what we booked as we are laid back as well and look for the same and the water taxi just seems really cool. Now to try and find where we will eat for the night [emoji1303]

Do not pass go, book this. Excellent location and hotel.
Hey BlueHerons, why is there not a lot of talk about the Bahia Mar Doubletree? How would you rate it living in the area. Seems to have decent reviews on TA

Yeti is a beast when it comes to keeping Ice Ice! I can take it out on the lake and the only thing that melts the Ice is the drink going in it until the liquids matches the temp. The outside of the cup will even get hot as steel does in the sun. No Thermos, No Tervis, No Bubba Keg can compete on the lake. I am not sure about the RTIC or Boss knock offs as I do not have them. I can verify the others though!

Just moved into our 7 day cabin, deck 11 spa.
Never again an inside with 4 people.
What was the struggle here? We are thinking about this. Are these rooms smaller than typical interiors for 4?

Ahh, I didn't know that, I'm not holding my breath for reimbursement, I'm just grateful it was found, but so upset about the stress I went through when I made the discovery.
Yeah don't let those guys fool you. I know the porters at Port Canaveral make $30+ an hour!

B and B I found your update thank you!
Golf Carts- Karib Rentals
I have just returned from my cruise and wanted to report back about my experience with Karib Rentals. Let me give a brief background. I have been to Grand Turk many times on cruise and love the island! The best way to see the island is by golf cart or scooter. Previously I have rented golf carts from Nathan (3 times) and when I tried to contact him for this cruise he never did answer any of my requests. So I had read a little on Cruise Critic about Karib rentals and thought I would give them a try. First let me say if you want to see the island by golf cart you really should pre book. They have very limited supply and are often fully booked. The 4 seaters cost $100 for the day plus gas (maybe 6-8 dollars). The name of the young lad that runs the business is Max Latortue. I was talking to him about how his change in policy (he now asks for a credit card deposit) is concerning some people when in the past he didn't require a deposit it was on the honour system. He said people were booking carts and he was holding them for people then the people wouldn't show up and then he would lose out on a rental. This is a very sweet young man (25 ) I asked him! Working hard to establish a business. He provides an excellent map of the island and also verbal directions/recommendations. This is a very safe island and the local people are very friendly! We covered almost the entire island from Pillory beach to the lighthouse visited with the wild donkeys roaming around the lighthouse then down the other end of the island. Driving on the left side of the road was never an issue you just had to think a little more when you made turns at intersections. I don't think I saw a single stop light on the entire island. Happy to answer any questions !

Dewats and BandB how did it turn out for you all? Were they easy to access and how about the gas if that is what was used?
Thanks!

We rented a ATV from Karib a couple of weeks ago and had a GREAT time! He is located right out the gate of the Port and had everything ready for us. We had it the entire day and went everywhere all over the island. On the ATV we were able to take little path ways down to the beach, though you want to be careful not to go in the deep sand itself as it will get stuck;) The cost includes everything for the day, no need to fill up. We are going back in September and plan to rent a golf cart this time as we will have the kids with us. Though we will miss the ATV as it was able to go many places that a golf can't;)
This is great to hear! We will be there on August 2nd doing the same thing. Any recommendations? Thanks!

So people are waiting to be the last person off the ship because they THINK they should be able to "disembark" whenever they like. Thus delaying others getting on the ship, causing the longer embarkation lines, and creating the need for these emails.
One would also have to assume that those not getting off the ship in a timely manner would directly contribute the joke that the parking lots have become.
People can choose to do what they want but it is becoming tiresome to hear all the negatives when someone's traditional plans don't work out for them and they continue to complain about the mess of embark or debark. They are the "CAUSE" of the mess though they will never allow themselves to take responsibility.
Touche!!

It doesn't make sense to us to pay hundreds of dollars in service tips 3-6 months in advance. We lose the financial (interest or investment) usefulness of the money for 6 months.
Exactly "realistically" how much are you making on that ~$200 for 3-6 months in advance. As far as that goes do you book in advance as well? Surely you would lose more on the several thousand that you are paying 3-6 months in advance there.

You could go to El Yunque for the afternoon and then go back and walk around OSJ in the evening. The forts will be closed at 6 but there are lots of restaurants and other things to see. You can walk down the Paseo through the San Juan gate, feed the pigeons at Parque de las Palomas.
If you need a tour guide to El Yunque, contact Ellis. We have used him twice and have booked him for next year when we go back.
Does he provide transportation as well? Possible costs and tours he offers?
Thanks!

Don't know about a 10 day but for an 8 day Southern it was $25/65/99 for the entire voyage. You could also purchase it for a single day as well.
Which did you pick and how was the speed? The $25 from my understanding is the Social Media package. I would assume the $99 is unlimited. What is the $65?
Thanks!
