  1. I was notified in an email from RCI, my final payment was due in June for an FOS in Sept and they told me if I wanted to pay before June 1 I woul not have to pay the new higher rate. We did pay earlier, but not because of the email. It was because of a personal budget decision. I am so tired of the Susie speculation, I wish they would just announce it and get it over with. The curiosity is bad! Lol

  2. Thank you, well said and I feel exactly the same as you.

We were in a suite and are D+ on our last FOS cruise. I purchased the ultimate drink package and absolutely loved it and will most likely do it again. With the UP you always were given top shelf in the bars, I stipulate " bars" because top shelf is not available in the CL. Because of having the UP, coke, water, and coffee package was part of the deal. The UP was taken at all dining venues and was graciously honored. So if you consider all items and not only the alcohol it can be a good deal. I loved trying new drinks, and getting top shelf. I tipped a dollar a bar drink so I could monitor if it was worth it. I considered the pool drinks, the good wine at dinner, the water, the speciality coffees and then club drinks at night it is a good value. I am by no means a heavy drinker but do appreciate the freedom and ease to do what I want all cruise no questions asked and enjoy quality products. I did't have any problems getting waited on, just the opposite it was respected I had the UP package and felt I got better service because of it.

  3. I understood how they converted and I have seen this chart before. I think my real question is about the sea pass card colors and markings. How can I determine if I was in a js? I thought they were stamped as such. How they awarded the original points in my case seems to be inconsistent as I understood the point system. Btw they "shorted" me a crystal block so I will be calling them. Wish they had awarded it when due, I surprised my hubby with a crown loft suite so it would have been a nice touch.

  4. I have been reading this thread and I have gotten myself totally confused. Can someone steer me to how rccl coverted into the new point system? Looking at my history for some 7 day cruises I got one point, but for others I got 2 points. We didn't book any suites but in 2005 we were on the jewel for 8 nights and got one point, but then on 2005 we are 7 days on the navigator and we got 2 points. Extra points for diamonds in December were only for the years of 2010/2011/2012 right? Can anyone shed any light on this?

  5. Following happily along. We are on her 3 May. These posts makes the waiting so much easier. Great comments and pics. Don't you think that was the idea of the new prices for drinks to encourage folks to take the drink packages? Trying to figure when considering the diamond benefits if the drink package is a good buy. Any thoughts?
