We were on the same cruise, it was amazing hard to beat a sailing with only 820ish passengers though lol. We went to see Doxey every night in the MDR and were blown away by both the food and service, caribbean night especially was awesome.

Just got off the phone with MSC, they confirmed the Covid assistance policy is included for vaccinated pax and kids, but full insurance is not. Insurance is recommended not required for US. Insurance is required for EU and Med. So the same thing the website says under Health and Safety

Do you mean offer for an extra fee? Yes they do but most people can do better through an independent travel insurance group.
No the Covid assistance plan is free of charge.

It's actually because MSC in their infinite wisdom has mandated that everyone carry full Covid insurance and at present, Canadians can't purchase any due the GOC Level 4 Avoid all Cruises.
MSC and the insurance companies are hoping that that will be reduced to a level 3 Nov.1 when the ban on cruise ships in Can. waters is lifted.
To ensure peace of mind, MSC Cruises requires all guests to have a specific and mandatory Covid-19 insurance policy to embark, covering against COVID-19 related risks, i.e cancellation, interruption, repatriation expenses, quarantine, medical assistance and related expenses, as well as hospitalization. A proof of the specific COVID-19 coverage insurance policy - which must be in one of the following languages: English, Italian, German, French or Spanish - must be presented at embarkation or boarding will be denied.
MSC provides a Covid insurance policy to everyone vaccinated correct? Or is that just for US citizens?

Show a screenshot of what you see on that page

Follow LISICHKA instructions, I am on the Oct 9 sailing and have all my info. Let me know if you have any issues.
-
Great info, do you know anything about the kids clubs? Were they operating normally?
-
I've only cruised once and it was on RCL, but you can generally wear anything but swimwear to the MDR. Try to look niceish whether thats a Tux, a sport coat, a button up, polo etc.
-
Thank you for the photos, my cruise is Oct 9 with two young ones (4 and 5). Do you know if the still come pick up the kids from dinner?
-
This makes me so excited. We'll be on the Meravilgia in October, my wife and I are vaxxed with two young kids. This makes the cruise even safer and more enjoyable. Great job Bahamas and MSC

Ok I was completely wrong about activities for a teenager. Did some more waking and reading daily planner. There is ping pong, table soccer ropes, much more. Can't wait for him to enjoy tomorrow. We saw rock and roll show. I really enjoyed it
Thanks for all the info, if you happen by can you see if the smaller kids clubs are fully open?
-
Not required but I personally will always have mine. If for whatever reason you are stuck in another country you'll need it.

I thought they were going to have vaccinated cruisers upload a copy of their vaccination record, and then showing it again at the port. Isn't that the same as asking?
Not the same, essentially if you want to sail as a vaccinated passenger you must prove you are vaccinated. If you don't want to volunteer that info then you will be considered an unvaccinated passenger.

MSC is the 2nd largest shipping company in the world and MSC cruises is like the 4 largest cruise company, they probably have plenty of money.

Wondering how fully vaccinated passengers will be identified? (Or unvaccinated) ?
They will probably require the bracelets that you usually pay extra for. They transmit wirelessly so it would be easy for them to see who's vaxxed or unvaxxed.
If not that, they could always just scan your cruise card

Thank you for the info, my wife and son both have gluten issues (luckily nothing serious just digestive issues). Did you fill out the Special Needs form prior to the cruise? MSC claims they can better help with food sensitivities if you do.

I hope you realize that offering money / to give a tip is considered an insult in some cultures.
By talking your "universal language" you may offend and insult people.
Good point, I should have qualified what I was saying with referring to US/Caribbean area.
-
Like it or not money is the universal language. If I want the service people to know that I am appreciative I will tip as well as give a sincere thankyou.

Port Canaveral, FLAs one of our guests booked on one of the above sailings, your cruise itinerary has been impacted by this change. If you would like to remain booked on your original cruise with its new itinerary, no action is required on your end, and you will remain booked on this sailing. If you would prefer to move your booking to a new cruise you may do so without penalty by calling our Cruise Consultants at 866-420-3584, if you booked direct with MSC Cruises or your Travel Advisor, before final payment is due on your cruise. We look forward to welcoming you on board as we resume cruising from U.S. ports on board our beautiful ships. MSC Cruises USAI got the same email for the Oct 9th cruise, I'm still hoping for OBC lol. They also made a mistake with the itineraries for September 15, 2021, October 9, October 23, November 6 it should be Costa Maya and Cozumel not the ones listed.

My son has gluten issues and when I talked to the MSC rep they told me to fill out the special needs form and they would take care of it. With that being said his is far from a serious issue and if he has gluten he'd just have to run to the bathroom.
I'd recommend talking to someone directly

Thanks, looks like they are taking decent control of the situation. I hope they clarify under 12 though

I was in a similar room on 12 but with a smaller balcony than yours. Very roomy compared to the RC cruise I was on in 2018.
