  1. Thanks all for alerting me to the AARP OBC which I was not aware of.  Unfortunately, I already booked my cruise so the OBC cannot be applied for this cruise. Apparently this restriction doesn't apply to military or educator OBC's which can be credited after a cruise is booked.  I also was denied my stockholder OBC because HAL said I booked a "special" rate.  I booked a Mariner Society rate which I didn't realize was considered a special rate.

@Pre Eng .  We heard a few months ago that they were going to eliminate the assigned boarding times, but I don't know if this has taken place yet for 2024 cruises. (Does anyone know?)

Not yet.  Sailing tomorrow on Quest and assigned a 2:20pm boarding time.  In light of what other posters have said about boarding times, we will probably show up about 1pm.

  3. Knowing the high demand for specialty restaurants, I booked a reservation on the first day booking opened up for an upcoming Seabourn Quest cruise.  The reservation was acknowledged by Seabourn and I thought I was all set.  However, now that sailing is approaching, I checked my itinerary and didn't see the dining reservation.  Seabourn responded on a call that they had no record of the reservation.  Just wondering if this ever happened to anyone else or am I just the lucky one?

Spirits are Gordon’s & Beefeater Gin, Smirnoff vodka, Famous Grouse Whisky, there’s a bourbon but I can’t remember which. There are two white, two red, a rose and a white sparkling wine - these seem to vary from ship to ship. There is still and sparkling water and sodas.

Thanks for the response.  I ask this because another poster indicated items in the cabin mini-fridge were not complimentary which seemed odd if some drinks are included in the ship's bars.

Wine and all other included drinks are available at all bars whenever they are open.

Sparkling water  is not San Pellegrino.

Specifically, what drinks are included?  Scotch, Vodka, Gin, cocktails, etc.

Thanks for the reference.  5% is really outrageous given the house advantage to begin with.  I note that you can send a cash advance to the casino and play off those funds without incurring the 5% fee.  My question is:  If you have a cash balance at the end of the cruise, I assume you could collect from the cashier just like any winnings.  Am I correct?

I realize this is an older thread, but I just want to add that anyone can call HAL Inventory at any time and ask about available upsells.

Good suggestion.  Do you have a number for inventory control?
