We have stayed the Bahia Mar twice & we love it. It is directly across from the beach & beach boardwalk & about a short block to the water taxi. It is a nice hotel, IMO. Ask for a tower room, they are the newest part.

Not Keith but I have read someplace here there is a shuttle for $8 pp
taxi is probably about the same total price
Will report back we are staying there on the 12th
Lyn
Thanks, Lyn!

Keith, does the Hampton Inn offer a shuttle service to the port? If so, do you know what it costs? We have reservations for next Sept. pre-cruise & looking forward to our stay after reading the many positive comments.

My husband has Celiac & we have also found that Carnival does a better job for GF cruisers than Royal C (although it has been 3 year since we've been on Royal so may have improved since then). We are booked on the Breeze for next year so glad to hear they have a great hostess!

I've always been worried that something like that would happen so I always like to do self-disembark. We always try to bring as little luggage as possible so we can carry it on & off ourselves. Here's hoping that guy will get back in touch with you!! Good Luck!

I stand with the last poster. My husband has Celiac Disease and he wishes every day that he didn't have to be on a gluten free diet (which if he doesn't follow he has to run to the bathroom within 5 minutes of eating wheat & breaks out in itchy blisters). He would like nothing more than to eat a yummy pizza and delicious bread again. But it's not just bread, there is wheat is so many things that you don't realize til you have to give it up. For those people that aren't truly gluten intolerant and are just following a fad...crazy. We are truly grateful for Carnival & the food industry attention to gluten free items...at least we have some more food options out there instead of having to give up certain foods entirely. :)

Really enjoying reading your review and love your pics! May I ask what kind of camera you have? We are booked on the Breeze Sept. 2014...can't wait!

We sailed on the Victory in a premium balcony, deck 8, right next to the aft wrap. Our room was huge!!! and our balcony was twice as long as a normal balcony. Not all the premium balconies have larger rooms...best thing is to check the Carnival.com deckplans.

We have stayed @ Bahia Mar twice & love it. Hotel is nice & the location is great! Sorry but don't know anything about the other you mentioned.

Teresa & Jimmy, we also have this cabin booked on the Breeze sailing in September 2014. Would love your input & any pictures of the cabin when you return from your January cruise. Happy sailing!!!

Does John's Car Service that you used in Miami have a website? Will need transportation next year so always interested when someone mentions a car service they liked. Thanks!

Cruising Mickey, don't worry about your stateroom location, you can't hear any noise from the Lido deck unless maybe a little ancillary noise when you're sitting on your balcony. You chose the perfect location for a stateroom (as far as I'm concerned)...I'll be sailing on this cruise with you and our room is located a few doors from yours. We love staying on the Lido deck when we cruise, it's a quick walk to the buffet, Guy's Burgers, Blue Iguana and that yummy Thirsty Frog red draft and close to the forward elevators.
Key West is a great place to visit if you haven't been there before and Cozumel and Grand Cayman has something to offer for everyone. We went to Paradise Beach in Cozumel the last time we cruised, it is beautiful there and there is no high per person, all inclusive, charge. It cost us $2 each for a lounge chair and we bought snacks and drinks from the bar. In Grand Cayman, we took a shared taxi to Calico Jacks and LOVED it there.
Have a great wedding!!
We are doing this itinerary on the Breeze Sept. 2014. Could you tell me about Calico Jacks? Thanks, 300+ days to go...ugh. :D

My husband has Celiac Disease & eats GF. He ate Guy's burgers on the Conquest without any problem. Just ask for no bun and no sauces. ;) He also liked their French fries (so many places cook their breaded items in the same grease as their fries and then he can't have them.)

Has anyone done the Segway excursion on Grand Turk that Carnival offers? If so, give me your thoughts. :o

Great video and looking forward to reading your review! We (along with 2 other couples) are sailing on the Victory in June. We will have rooms 8430, 8428 and 8422(ours). We wanted to open the dividers between all 3 balconies but from the video am questioning if its possible to open up between 8428 & 8430 (the aft-extended balcony). Do you know if this is possible? Also do you have any pics of room 8422? Glad to hear you had a great cruise...we are all really looked forward to ours in June! :D
-
Thank you! One of my other relatives has cabin 8422 and they have a long balcony so when the divider is opened it should be really nice for everyone!
We have room 8422 booked for June sailing & friends will have 8428 & 8430. Please comment here how you liked the rooms when you get back....have fun on your cruise!!!

We were recently on RCL Allure and while it is a huge ship with lots of passengers we never felt crowded because there are so many public areas spread out over the entire ship and so many things to do. It was definitely the most awesome ship I have been on. :)
Southern Caribbean Cruise
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
Southern Caribbean was one of my favorite cruises...you are going to love it! We also did Cosol's tour on St. Lucia & it was fantastic. On St. Marteen we did Bernard's tour...very good...best part was the stop at Maho Beach where the planes fly over & land directly behind you...will blow you away! On Barbados did the Five Star Catamaran thru Carnival and really like it also. Have a great time on your cruise!!!
