  1. I believe that they do, but the further back that you go, the smaller the ledge.

We had U15 on Fantasy and there was a sizable ledge. Both myself and DBF could sit up there together.

We booked R-1 for our December sailing and hope the ledge is just as prominent.

Thank you for the info! I can't wait to try out the porthole:)

  2. Hello!

I am trying to resurrect this thread, as it is the most helpful one I have found regarding portholes with PICTURES of the cabins included! Love the pictures:)

We are a party of four booked into two porthole cabins on the Paradise (Fantasy class)

Does anyone have experience with cabins R1 or R5? We are waaaaaaaay down low and as far forward as we can be. Looking forward to trying a new location, but would appreciate any information from people that have been there. Thanks;)

  3. We have sailed on the Legend twice. Once premium balcony and once aft. Both are beautiful and get a wonderful breeze. The Legend is our favorite ship (so far, sailing on the Liberty in Sept for 2.0) Hoping that our daughter gets married on the Legend next year. Belize is beautiful but stay only in the port if you do not have an excursion. Very scary place. Roatan though is very beautiful and we did a tour there outside the port. It was great. We live in Pinellas Park and watch the Legend go under the Skyway all the time. Be sure you are up on deck when she goes under. It is amazing! Have a great time.

Thank you for the info! I can't wait to get on the ship in just 5 days:)

I have heard many people say that they love the Legend (and Spirit class)

Good luck with the wedding plans for your daughter... Exciting stuff. Maybe she can get married in beautiful Roatan and then you can all celebrate on the beautiful Legend:)

  4. I am always amazed at how smoothly cruise ships manage to service the needs of so many people all at one time.

As someone with over ten years experience working for a land based major corporate restaurant chain; I must admit that our kitchens NEVER looked as clean as those on the ship. Not even close! Wow!

The staff employed on these ships work so very hard to maintain these standards. I am truly impressed.

  5. To tender, pax gather in the theater after receiving a number on arrival which, I think, corresponds to your excursion status. The tender boats are many and they're large - 200+ but the round trip is long. It seems like a long wait especially if there are passengers who have to empty their bags of fruit - no produce may be taken on shore. It could be nearly an hour from your arrival at the theater until you step on the dock.

  6. Hello!

Sailing on the Legend in 38 days!

Wondering if I should expect the weather in ports to be very humid and hot?

Also... Have an aft balcony booked. Some have commented that there is no air movement on aft balconies. Wondering if I would be wise to bring a battery operated fan for the balcony?

Last question.... Anyone have experience with tendering off the ship in Belize? We don't have a CCL excursion booked but hope to get off the ship on earlliest tender. Is this unrealistic?

Thanks for any help you can give:)
