I am on the Allure for the Sept 29th cruise. I guess it won’t matter to me seeing as I am definitely not pinnacle nor am I in a suite (though I would love to be). Just glad to be on a cruise. But I am curious as to which cruise.
Thank you Sue your review, it is very entertaining.
We are sailing then too...…………………………. curious which sailing she is talking about....

So today the conversation by not one, but two groups of guest that were talking from back to back cocktail tables that there is this cruise in September that their is over 100+ Pinnacles on board, and management is in the process of deciding how to manage the suite guests and the Pinnacles to seat in CK for dinner.
They said it was beyond the decision of crew on Allure, and a change would be announced in September coming from RCI Corporate.--------What-ever the change is to be announced would set a precedent for other ships.
OK, nothing new, change always occurs.
Great storytelling! You have captured my attention...
Now I MUST know...… Just which week in September are they talking about? As I sail on Allure in September - in a suite..... Do tell...…

We had to show our US Passports.

Hope this helps you. I was on the Allure 5/19/19 to 5/26/19 out of Fort Lauderdale. I have used valet luggage before on Southwest and the flights always had to be between 12 and 6PM. I had a 12:40 flight. When on the ship I received paperwork and all other airlines started at 11:30. In bold letters Southwest was only with flights between 2PM and 6PM so I could not use the service. I was told that each week the airlines can change there times and Royal will not know until the ship sails.
Steve,
Medford NY
Ahhhh good to know! Thanks! We try to grab the 11:45 ish flight out... so that would def be an issue on SW!

When Royal has offered Luggage Valet, Southwest has always been included. However, Southwest usually has an earlier "late" limit. In other words, Southwest flights after 6pm might not be included.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I have searched for this answer among the boards here.... but couldn't find any topics on my question... I know that Fort Lauderdale Airport/Royal Caribbean offers "Luggage Valet" service because we have used it before.... we typically fly American, but for an upcoming cruise we are considering flying from FLL on Southwest. Does anyone know if Southwest is an included airline in that service? I think it's worth it's weight in gold & would be a deciding factor to which airline we choose!
TIA!

Restrooms on catamaran.... not sure, possibly downstairs. The catamaran is big, 2 levels, we sat on top on way out.
Restrooms on island.... yes, very primative though as you are on a little island out in ocean.
The thatch structures are for sharing, not reservable. Just a place to drop your bags while you go snorkel, then sit in shade while you eat. Each one is big enough for about 15+ people.
Snorkeling.. they have 2 groups led by guides, a beginner and advanced. The beginner group has several extra guides and helpers in kayaks to pick up anyone who needs to be brought back to shore. Advanced group goes out farther to a wall, and stays out longer than beginners. After the groups are done, they tell you that you can snorkel on your own, but at your own risk as they are done. So if you do that (a few people did), then the lunch you have to take back with you in togo container as everyone else was eating. You are only on island about 2 hrs 15 min or so, rest is travel time.
YAY!!!! Just what I wanted to hear! THANKS SO MUCH for all your help!

Thanks for all the great info here! I am considering this excursion & actually posted a thread asking about it yesterday... hoping to find out more about it... so far...nada. But thru YouTube, I found out that the excursion does in fact go to Rendezvous Caye, I then found YOUR post!! YAY!!! Love your video!!! I do have a few questions....
Are there rest rooms on the catamaran?
Are there rest rooms on the island?
Are the thatch covered structures first come, first served? Can they be reserved?
Do you HAVE to snorkel in a group? Can you just snorkel at your leisure?
Thanks again for all your information you shared!

Haven't done this excursion, but most of these go to Rendezvous Caye or used to go there. You'll be picked up from the ship. Given the distance, I'd guess 20-30 minutes of travel time and you snorkel from shore according to various reviews.
Thank you.

Can anyone tell me about this Royal Caribbean excursion? "Barrier Reef Snorkeling Wonders #BE31"
Are you picked up at the ship?
What island do you go to? How long of a boat ride is it?
Do you snorkel in open waters or is it from the shore?
TIA!

Forgive you? For what - a perfectly legitimate and completely understandable question.
I have sailed Oasis, Harmony, and Allure. There were no reserved seats by the pools for any class of suite. The only reserved spot is the private sundeck that has been mentioned.
Enjoy your cruise!
Thank you!!!

For us the suite deck is just a waste of space. And I am only speaking for myself. (On Allure that is, where we cruise the most on).
It is hot, it has a bar (you can pay or use drink package you purchased, only thing free is water), but I do not drink during the day, except pop or water. Has some munchies for free.
There is one misting station.
The area provides towels to take as needed. Restrooms, and a couple cabanas.
If I want to rest on deck, I would just go out on the balcony of our cabin, listen to the waves.
If I want to swim, I put my stuff (towels and shoes) on one out of the way chair and swim.
I am past the point of sun worshiping, I just like to sit at the pools edge and people watch.
Others may enjoy it, but vary rarely have we seen it crowded.
Safe travels.
And that is what I will do... because I want to be by the pool & watch all the goings on that happen there. 😃 That was exactly what I needed to know. Thanks!

No Gold cards on Oasis Class.🤯 Plum (Sky), Black (Star),and White/Pearl (Pinnacles)
Ok! Forgive me ..... I have never sailed on an Oasis class ship... so I was referring to SUITE class card holders when I spoke about Gold Card sections. Was unaware that on Oasis they are Purple & Blue. Now I know!

Okay so we are about a week out before I cruise and unfortunately we had a unexpected Financial issue and we had to make adjustments to our spending money amounts that we were going to take on the cruise as far as cash is concerned. I'm really starting to stress out because I'm not sure if we're going to have enough spending money when we get on the islands to buy souvenirs Etc. Our cruise is only four nights and I was hoping some of you can give me some advice to kind of gauge what should be okay as far as cash to take on the cruise we would not be doing any excursions nothing extra just Cruising we might buy a couple of souvenirs but that's about it just trying to get some advice
You can (if you have a credit card) get cash on it at guest services or at the ATM if you want to take cash ashore.

I know that the 7-Night Western Caribbean cruise on Liberty of the Seas gets into Galveston at 6:30am. I am considering a 12:00pm flight out of IAH. Would that be reasonable? Or would that be cutting it a bit close? Would I be likely to disembark by 8am?
To be safe I’d book a later flight. Once we didn’t get off the ship in Galveston until 6:00, due to fog. And another we did self assist & started to line up to leave at 7:30, but there was some kind of issue looking for a guest, we didn’t get off until 10am.
Usually tho, when we do self assist & get off in the first group, we are to our car by 8:30. So it IS doable, but you never know. Customs can be very SLOW too!
Not to mention the traffic between Galveston & Houston can be a nightmare if there is a wreck.

I am sailing soon on Allure. First time on this large of a ship. I know she has a Suite Sun Deck, but is there also a reserved section by the pool for gold card guests? I know smaller ships offer that, but they don’t have a Suite Sun deck.
TIA

Are there designated areas by the pool for suite guests only?
There are on ships that don’t have Suite Sun Decks.... but I do not know about this ship... would like to know that answer as well.

I hate to sound snarky...but, Suite guests pay dearly for the suite perks. I feel that it is tacky and disrespectful to invite non suite guests to join you to enjoy said perks. If you want to hang out with non suite guests, then join THEM in areas designated for their use. Or just break off from them for this time & enjoy the perks that YOU paid for, meeting up with them later. We will be doing this on an upcoming cruise...they had the same opportunity to book a suite as we did, they chose not to, so we'll meet them during the day here & there or we'll hang out with THEM.
I don't get to sail in a suite often, but when I do, I want the experience to be what it is designed to be. If I were not a suite guest...I'd be totally mortified if I were asked to leave a place I wasn't supposed to be in. When non suite guests invade the suite guests space, then that causes the staff to check everyone's credentials... making extra work for the staff & bothersome to those that have the right to be there.
I do hope that you don't proceed with these plans.... it's like stealing (in a way)..getting something you did not pay for. Just my .02 worth.

The Oasis class ships are the only ones doing the beer and wine included from 11-11. It is also soda and bottled water too.
Thanks. Will cancel my package on the Allure sailing...and buy it on the Liberty!

I am on Harmony December 2020 - western caribbean and the cruise planner shows $57 so far - I've got to get 2 so is it better to wait until you are onboard and hope they offer buy 1 get second at 50% off or just watch the price for the 20-30% off sales (of the onboard price which I know is more than the cruise planner price). This is my 9th RCCL cruise and have been purchasing the package for the past 4 years - always online so I can pay up front when I catch the sale.
I'd wait til they have a sale (you have over a year to watch the prices). They will offer sale prices online at some point. I currently can buy the Deluxe Beverage Package on Allure for $49 and on Liberty for $50. The onboard prices will be somewhere between $63-$65...unless you KNOW you can get it cheaper by waiting, I'd definitely keep an eye on your cruise planner for you sailing.

So we are booked on Allure in a Grand Suite...& recently learned we can get free Beer & Wine 11am until 11pm in the Suite Lounge as part of our "Sky Class" perks.
That said, does that also apply to other Suite Lounges fleet wide, as we sail in a GS on Liberty soon too? Need to know this as it will determine if we need to buy a drink package or not.
Thanks in advance y'all!

Another question...how do people know that far in advance how many C & A guests will be onboard... is that something "I" can find out?
