  1. We rented golf carts and drove into town. Found maya bar with loungers, $12 bucket of beers and delicious food. Plus you can take a ride out around the area in the golf carts! Worked great!! Better than the $20 palm tree drinks at the port!!

What is the name of the beach you went too. I don't see any place called Maya Bar. Can you be more specific.. Thanks for the input!

  2. Was looking at booking this for NYE 2014.

But we missed their 123 type promo (OBC or Drink Package or Prepaid Gratuities)

Any insiders know if they will be offering this perk again?

Was booking today and TA told me no longer being offered :-(

  3. Cosol is a very reputable tour guide and has built up his business on the great recommendations from customers on sites like cruise critic. He gives a wonderful comprehensive tour...I have used him three times. I never worry about getting back on time. If he ever let a group miss a ship he would be ruined...they are extremely careful to allow plenty of time in case of an emergency. He is definitely one of the best. All of his guides are good, but try to get on his van if you can.

Agree 100%. Never had any worries.

True professional. We arrived with plenty of time to walk around the port and do some shopping and ise the internet to catch up with my family. On a side note a Celebrity sponsored tour that did somewhat the same route arrived about 30 minutes after we did.

  4. Paid $110

We had about 30-40 min of beach time. (not really beach time per say, we stopped near a beach and we had enough time to swim out to beach and hang out. But My wife and I spent most of the time swimming around the catamaran and snorkeling). Approx about 200 yards to beach very easy swim to beach. Which btw was gorgeous!

  5. Great tour.

unfortunately we were not on the but that Cosol was driving, but we did have Bomby! (bombee) What an great tour guide he was. Remember to tip your guide!

Our trip had about 4 Micro-buses full of passengers and 1 bus full of coolers filled with beer, rum punch and soda's.

Let me say driving in St. Lucia takes some serious skills those winding roads thru the mountains without any barricades to the sides is something you must experience first hand

Bomby was very informative and professional.

We stopped at a couple places to take pictures. Bomby was very accommodating and would take pictures for you.

    Stop included:

Small market overlooking the Port where your ship is docked for pictures.

small banana plantation where we got to sample fresh bananas

Stopped at a large home, where we were shown the largest spread of local food and drinks (not sure if this is Cosol's GF or wife as they were very friendly..lol) each food had a name card next to it so we knew what we were eating. Lots of booze and food to be had here.

La Soufriere Drive-In Volcano small guided tour (tip your tour guide)

Jelousie beach (amazing beach in between the Pitons)

Toraille Waterfall (definitely take a dip under the falls)

On the drive back to the ship. Bomby stopped at a local bread shop where we were introduced to these enormous pieces of bread that resembled flinstone size clubs. They are freshly baked and still warm. You are than given some cheese to put inside bread. The bread melts the cheese and you are left with a nice hearty snack for the ride back to port. Thru out the day you have a chance to drink alot of beer, soda and rum punch. So don't hesitate to have a good time.

    Highly Recommended!

  6. This trip was amazing.

It is a bit pricier than other Catamarans. But I would highly recommend it.

Gina is an amazing Host and cook. They limit the excursion to 10-12 pp. So you have lots of room to hang out on the catamaran. Never felt rushed or crowded. Restrooms were extremely clean. Crew was very accommodating and friendly and very professional and polite.

We were picked up promptly at the port and were driven in a microbus thru town to a small port where we were greeted by Gina and her crew.

    Trip included:

    Swimming with the turtles

    snorkeling the 2 ship wrecks

    lunch (which was amazing)

all you can drink Rum Punch, Beer, Soda

snorkeling gear in case you did not bring any

some swimming /beach time and lots of sailing time.

they even take pictures of you and send you a link to download them.

I would highly recommend this trip to anyone!!!

When we were heading back to port we bumped into other catamarans, some of those catamarans were packed to the gils with people. One catamaran was playing the loudest music I had ever hear completely ridiculous and was packed with so many people I don't even know how they were able to walk about the catamaran.

When we head back next year I will be booking this excursion quickly!

  7. I just booked a cruise thru CASfor March on the Epic 7 day western. I paid for taxes and port fees. Pretty much came out to a buy 1 get 1 free price. Not much of a deal as I was expecting alot more. But hey 1/2 price for the Epic count me in.

I spoke to CAS 2 times and quickly had my phone call taken. I don;t think I waited longer than 5 minutes. They even honored an expired promo code.

Does anyone know how it works with drinks in the Casino? Am i the only one who can get drinks free of charge or can my wife also get free drinks at the casino while we both gamble?

  8. I was amazed at the catalog that the Freedom had. There were songs in English, Spanish and French!. Had a couple from France sing a french duet horribly.:D And had a Spanish Gentleman sing a rock song called Lamento Boliviano by los enanitos verdes..He was freaking awesome the entire crowd went nuts! It was kind of cool seeing every race of people bonding in the Karaoke Lounge!
