    Stateroom # - 8714

    Stateroom Category – MX

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Hallway noise. Crashing on sea days going to St Maarten - have no idea what that was!

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? -No

Balcony View - Give comments on view - no obstructions

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal for MX but HUGE compared to other balconies on decks above. 2 loungers plus a table and two chairs. Whoo hoo.

Was wind a problem? - some days. This is far forward.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? -N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? - Cabin is forward. Some may feel motion. Didn't bother us, but may be an issue if you are sensitive.

    Any other comments? -

  2. We are preparing for our 3rd NCL cruise and very much enjoy freestyle. That being said, the gifts really are an insult and I'm glad I haven't been loyal to any one cruise line. Someone mentioned the tiles and Mariners brunch on HAL (cheesy, but better than a pleather Altus). Also, our first Celebrity cruise they upgraded us at the dock to something called Concierge class. We got a bottle of champagne for sail away, and each day of the cruise fresh fruit, fresh flowers and Canapés delivered to our cabin. They even knew when to deliver the Canapés.

NCL really ought to think about upping their game to keep loyal cruisers happy. Can't wait for my next cruise, but won't look for latitudes rewards as a perk.

  3. There is no harm in giving NCL a try! We have sailed on NCL, HAL, CCL, Celebrity, and Costa. I would do them all again except for Costa. I usually push for NCL so I can eat when and where I want on any given day. I am not a fan of waiting for late dinner and worrying if I will like my table mates.

Enjoy your cruise, whatever you choose.

  4. I am reasonably certain the cruise lines have a policy to prohibit serving minors for safety reasons. We experienced a tragedy on an Italian cruise line in the Carribean when a 15 year old girl was over served and lost overboard. I doubt a single passenger on that voyage will forget how we felt the next day while circling the waters near Cozumel........ Her body, to my knowledge, was never recovered.
