  1. I posted this question in this forum because I feel there is more exposure here rather than one of the more specific topic  rooms because I think people going into the more specific rooms because they  are seeking info because they may be less exposed to the location and more are less likely  know the answer. Please don't move this question.

Can anyone tell me the best way to get from Marco Polo to Trieste?

    Thanks

After our cruise last Oct, we took Flixbus, non stop from Trieste to VCE.   In your search specify Venice airport.

Pre cruise we stayed in Mestre so we took the train to Trieste.

Both took about 2 hrs and very economical (around 15E).

How was Mestra?  We cruise from trieste in May.

  3. Hello cruisers.

Does anyone know the best way to get from Marco Polo to Trieste  where the cruise ships dock? We arrive in Venice May 7. Our boarding time is 1pm on May 8.

    Thanks for your help.

I knew it was expensive but the last time we did it for 7 night it cost like $850.

This go round it it over $1200 for our 7 night Carribean trip on the Allure coming up in November.

They have finally got me to the point where I just wont dot it. I was expecting $1000 but not $1200

The total BS part is this is the lower sales price of what I have seen as part of one of their sales.

The normal price was closer to $1400 through my portal.

Interesting point of view.  I do not really care if they are “interested in me” as long as they do a good job and provide excellent service.  Over our

more than forty years of extensive cruising we have made a few good friends among the crew.  But the norm is that a good crew performs up to or beyond expectations and a good passenger always treats the crew and fellow passengers with the utmost respect.  Our expectations are certainly higher when we are on luxury lines as we expect additional quality when we pay higher prices.

That's true with all things in life. Not just cruising.  I believe it's linked more towards a person being good at what they do than service being personal though it may seem that way.

Thank you, everyone! I'll just write it on there. I'm not worried about my handwriting, just didn't want it kicked back for some bureaucratic error.

Sad reality is it may be kicked back due to the Feds clerk being lame in the brain and with nothing you did wrong.

  7. i can't believe we did this . We are sailing on May 7. Checked out Passports and find that they expire 1 month after we get back. Can anyone tell me what other ID forms are acceptable for cruising? We both have the Real ID drivers license.  Thanks.

  8. Things hopefully work out for your cruise. The chance of a problem with your flight are remote.

The thing that scares the Beetlejuice out of me about arriving the same day as the sailing is the clogged traffic do to various reasons traffic can be backed up for 2 hrs or more. The odds of having  snags on the way to the cruise port are scarier to me than my flying into the airport.

A light weight folding walker will do the in a pinch.  You can keep it folded and put out of the way by the toilet until you need it . And it may be easer to pack.  Hope this helps.

Thank you for the good suggestion. That would work.       I have picked up 2 suction grab handles that can stick and hold onto a surface and provide enough edge to be able to pull up. They also fit easily in my luggage.

Not necessarily- most airlines have ‘Open-jaw tickets’ - flights where the return leg departs from a different airport to the arrival. In general same price level as a return ticket.

The point of my suggestion is mostly about the option to enjoy the Museums in Florence as the travel time between Rome and Florence is about 2 hr15 min. Not nearly as much about the price of the air fare. Between Florence and Venice is about 1 hr. It depends on how much you could invest time wise in Florence. The train expense is around 9 to12 Euro
