Lol. We are down to the wire - 3 days until boarding and I guess I am getting my islands mixed up. lol. The last minute push to make sure I haven't forgotten something or didn't research well enough. Thanks for the help!

Just one note if you plan on seeing the Air France A340 landing. The new winter schedule has it arriving at 3:05 now (used to be 1:50), so catching a bus after that and getting back to the port by the 4:30 all aboard might be tight.
We have the same schedule for our day in St. Martin (Dec 17) and as much as I like the idea of saving money by taking the bus, we are going to taxi back to Philipsburg, or directly to the port depending on time, because I want to get back on the ship more than I want to save $40 for the 5 of us.
Thank you - thank you. Where did you find the information for the new flight plans? I agree - I would rather take a taxi back and get to the boat on time. Do you think there will be enough time after that flight to get back to Crown Bay?

I have been trying to piece meal price and time information based on other questions but maybe I should just ask..:)
We are sailing on Oasis - there are 9 (5adults, 4 kids) of us. we want to go to Marigot, then Maho then back to Phillispburg/dock. We would like to not spend a ton of money on transportation but also want it reliable. Our thought is water taxi to Phillipsburg from boat
then bus from Phillipsburg to Marigot,
taxi from Marigot to Maho
and maybe bus from Maho to Marigot
we are in port 8am-5pm on a Wed with 3 or 4 other ships in port.
Any thoughts, suggestions, tips would be great. Thank you

Am I understanding correctly, that the ships(Oasis) docks at the cruise facility but you then have to either take a taxi or water taxi to downtown Phillipsburg? How long does that take? Do they wait for the water taxi to get full before leaving -either direction? thank you
-
If the ship is docked on the Dutch side and you want to go to Marigot (French side) do you need to have a passport?
-
We are docking at Crown Bay and doing an snorkeling excursion through the ship but we have extra time and thought we would do another beach. What beaches are closest to Crown Bay? How would we get to those beaches, walk or taxi? Thank you
-
Yes, you have to pay extra for the aqua park with the slides and inflatable climbing areas.
Thank you. Do they accept credit cards or probably better to pay with cash?

Has anyone done the St Thomas turtle bay sail and snorkel excursion through RCI? how was it? Did you see a lot of turtles?
-
Has anyone done the Blue Lagoon Beach Break excursion through RCI? Did you have to pay extra to use the water inflatable toys? I would expect to pay more to rent a kayak or paddle board but hoping the inflatables are included
-
Thank you for the tip. We had cruised RCI about 5 years ago and I couldn't remember. I would like to take our own but with flying it is just more weight and stuff.
-
does RCI give you beach towels to use at port?
-
We are on the Oasis there in November 2014. We booked Blue Lagoon. there is a review somewhere on Cruise critic with tons of pictures. As my 12 yr old said ' there is a wipeout section' - inflatable water toys (tramps, slides, etc). I think he will love it.
-
Do we have to take towels to Blue Lagoon or are they provided? If we take them do you know if Royal Caribbean gives them out as you leave the boat? Thanks
-
We too will be on the Oasis in November is there shopping within walking distance of the Crown Bay dock or do we need to walk/taxi to Havensight or some other shopping area? Thanks

There is a set price for 1-2 people but for 3 or more the price changes to per person. So let's say it costs $18 for 1-2 people but for 5 people it is $7 pp.
So let's say it's $28 from the pier to Marigot and $32 to Maho and another $32 to back to the pier that would add up to $92 for 4 people so with tip round that to $100 let's say or $25 pp.
I would estimate 25-30 minutes to Marigot in the morning and 30 minutes to Maho and 45 minutes from Maho to Philipsburg. You need to give yourself plenty of leeway as traffic can get congested.
Thank you Karysa. It is exactly what I was looking for. We are traveling on the Oasis and I think there are three other ships in town so may need a bit more time. Do you know do the taxi's take US $ or should I get something else?

Thanks for the great review of Blue Lagoon. I was linked here from another thread so I haven't read everything but did see the water toys that my kids are interested in. I need to read your reviews on St Thomas and St Martin. I thought I read somewhere that St Marten has the same type of water toys next to the beach near port. Do you know if that is true? It will take me awhile to read all of this as it is 39+ pages!! but I think I decided on Nassau excursion -blue lagoon!

How is the excursion through RCI for St Thomas Turtle bay sail and snorkel? Did you see lots of turtles?

I was looking at the C&A gold member benefits and they list items plus a point system. I am confused as to how that works. Do I need to request the items such as a coupon book? If so, how do I do that? Thanks

what would be the taxi price from the phillipsburg to marigot for 4 people? How long would it take? Thinking of going there then Maho. From what I can gather on other sites the price would be about $40 and it takes over an hour, is that correct?? Thank you

Yes Holiday Inn on 17th. I did double check the address. The holiday inn there was the only one hotel I could find on 17th with availability on our dates. I wanted 17th due to not having a car and being able to find a store and restaurant close.
-
Anyone stay recently at the Holiday Inn Cruise Port on 17th St? Is it within walking distance of restaurants and a convenience store? Also what is a great restaurant to eat at within walking distance? Thanks
-
Looking for a pre-cruise FLL hotel. It will be just one night for our family, airport shuttle would be great. We won't have a car so would like someplace near restaurants and a place to get supplies (water, wine) before the cruise. I plan to take a taxi to the port everglades so don't need a shuttle. Thank you!

Has anyone done the RCL turtle bay sail and snorkel? If so did you like it? did you see turtles? thanks

I would definitely recommend you go. Originally we had made reservations directly with Tree Limin', it was less than thru Royal, but when I checked in to taxi costs ($40 RT) it was only $10 less than with Royal, so I went thru Royal and the taxi was included. Someone was waiting for us right when we got off the ship and walked us to their booth where we completed the waivers and could have a cold beverage while we waited. Also, many of the excursions are no longer allowed to book you direct if they work with the cruise line, so you may not have that option unless you tell them you aren't on a ship - and I would book it as soon as you can, there were only 16 people per excursion and we almost missed out on it (we got the last 2 spots). Have a GREAT time, let me know if you have any other questions
We are doing Royal also on the Oasis but I don't see Tree Limin as an excursion. I wish they were as that would make it easier especially since you found they were basically same cost. Thanks again for the information
Freestyle Choice plus ultimate beverage and Dining
in Norwegian Cruise Line

I am new to Norwegian and wondering if the current promotions for Freestyle choice and ultimate beverage and ultimate dining are typical promotions for them. Are they offered a few times a year or just once? Thanks
