I’m interested in this as well. We’re you able to book a tour company that you’d recommend?
-
Hi' date='
I would love to get more information on who ran your tour, if you don't mind sharing the information with me, and how to contact the company. Thanks.

If you want to comparison shop, look at TOPTENTOURS with Alex. We've used them several times and were very pleased.

We are staying in Le Havre for 3 days pre-boarding & have a rental car for doing day trips. I'm looking for AirBNB recommendations in Le Havre. English speaking proprietor preferred as we speak very little French. Thx in advance!

1 Free bag/cabin/day for Elites = the end of grandparents sending out entire families' dirty clothes.

OP here. Thanks for posting the official policy. On cruises with multiple (4-8) sea days, many people want to have something familiar and relaxing to pass time. Crafting is no different than other hobbies people engage in on sea days - like playing cards/mahjong, reading, or gambling. As I said, I would never consider selling anything on board and do think its very tacky. Now that I have the official policy, I can say no to sales without being rude. Thanks again for all your input!

Now personally I would not do this, but was wondering if there was an official policy. I've seen several people making crafts on long cruises and selling them to people walking by. I know at least one time several years ago, a staff person made them stop. Reason being that $ people spend there is taking away from revenue that could be spent in onboard shops. I am going on a 28 day cruise next year and many are starting to form crafting/needlework/jewelry groups to meet and work together. I feel certain that at some point someone will want to sell or buy something. Has anyone had any experience with this situation? Thx!

I know this is an old thread, but we are going to Tenerife in October on a TA and I am wondering if anyone has any updated info on this beach. We plan to take a cab or bus from the ship - does anyone know the cost, and if its easy to get a cab or bus back to the ship (don't know how often the buses run). Are there still facilities for changing? Rental chairs and umbrellas? How about food and drink vendors? Seaside cafes? Thank you for any help you can give me.

Someone posted on our upcoming roll call that the AIBP pre-purchase price is 57.45/day vs 59.80/day on board. Can anyone confirm this? Thx!
-
Bumping this up to see if anyone keep owes the answer.

OP here. I called Princess and the rep said she knew nothing about it, but that doesn't mean anything. I guess we wait to see if they announce it.

Someone posted on one of my roll calls that the AIBP price per day is going up starting Sept 1, & the Princess Rep advised her to buy it ahead of time. Am I late to the party on this, or is it new info, or are they just trying to pressure people into buying it? Thx!

The only time we had a boozy cruise was in March - a 5 day getaway - when the Spring Breakers came on board. Pretty bad! I headed for the sanctuary on sea days.

Several other threads on website issues to check out:

OP here again. FYI: Just got a response from RC to use a different browser, or use a laptop instead of cell phone or tablet. I am using an Apple laptop and I have tried Mozilla, Google Chrome, and Firefox. Nothing works, And now there are several other threads of people having the same issues. I hope RC is reading these boards. This is unacceptable - especially for people trying to check in for cruises coming up soon!
-
I am the OP. Still can't get into my reservation - for 2 months now. Every time I call, I get a different answer. This is going to be my last RC cruise if this is how they handle problems.
-
Ha! I just tried again to access my reservation, and got a different message :
The requested reservation is currently being modified. Please try again at a later time.
Whatever. I got better things to do than worry about this. But I WILL take the suggestion to call the Crown & Anchor about it. Thx everyone!

What's the error you get ?
Here is what appears at the top of the page when I click "view reservation":
We're sorry, but we are unable to retrieve your booking information at this time. For assistance, please call 866-562-7625
So I called that number & the rep gave me the info I've already posted above. I thought it may be a glitch, but have been trying to access the reservation for over 3 weeks now.

You can't do check in until about 90 days before
But you can certainly access the reservation at any time to book shore excursions etc.
No, I can't. That is what I am saying. I am not talking about the Cruise Planner. I cannot access the existing, actual reservation online. At all. Nothing. I am not a novice or computer illiterate. I have done many cruises & I understand the 90 day check in rule.
And as I said in the first post, he told me "you cannot ACCESS your reservation until 3 months ahead of sailing". And I kept questioning him. He worked with me to click on "view reservation". And it still said I could not access the actual reservation. He reiterated the 3 month limit. And gave me some convoluted logic about too many changes and too many reservations to handle, etc blah, blah blah. All I am asking is: has anyone else experienced this? is this the new standard for RC? Thanks for your input.

I just got off the phone with a Royal Caribbean rep who told me I can't access my reservation until 3 months before sailing. Is this correct? Is this new? I asked how can I reserve dining, excursions, etc and he said I could call 6 months ahead of time and I could do it over the phone. But not online. Whaaaattt??? I don't understand how I can even look at what to reserve if I can't see my reservation. I'm not a novice - I have done over 25 cruises - but this is the first I've heard of this. Can someone enlighten me? Thank you.

Plan to fly in a day early. A 1:30 airport arrival is cutting it close, not allowing for delays, etc.
Agree strongly!! Too close for comfort. I always try to fly in at least a day ahead of time after having a very close call as a rookie cruiser.

Has anyone booked through a TA and gotten the offer directly?
Nope. Our move-over came thru our TA 24 hours before boarding. Got 100% refund on 1 passenger, basically a 2-for-1 cruise if we took an interior. I made sure it was credited as refundable OBC. If you booked thru a TA, I don't think Princess can bypass them.

I read somewhere, but can't find it now - that they are starting to phase out Curtis Stone's "Share" and replace it with a revamped Sabatini's. Is this true? Will the Sabatinis on all ships be changed?
-
The design is the same. Now whether they tweaked exhaust etc is unknown.
I was on the Royal Maiden TA, and know the Royal and Regal were designed differently and aft cabins had awful soot problems. Does anyone know for certain if those problems still exist? or have they done something to minimize/alleviate it? Anyone sailed in one of those aft cabins on either ship recently?

Could you let me know which company you booked the helicopter with, or was it a ship tour?
Thanks
