Maybe no excursions for 2016 are showing up yet?

We are booked on the Dream in Feb of next year. So far there are no excursions showing up. We've booked other cruises this far out and could shop the excursions right away. Does anyone know why or how long until they show up? We've had FTTF for our last 3 or 4 cruises, not sure we can live without it anymore, LOL!

This is a balcony room, the only accessible balcony rooms on the dream are on deck 6.

We've been home from our cruise on the Freedom for almost a week. Obviously its time to book again:-) I'm looking at cabin 10290 on the dream. Its the very first cabin, right behind the Blue Iguana. My question is, is there a door to get to this hallway as you are walking from the pool area, or do you have to go all the way to the atrium then back down the hallway? I noticed on the Freedom there is a door, its not a big deal of course, just wondering. Anyone had this cabin or the one on the other side?

Hated the Sunshine, but we were on a Christmas cruise, so LOTS of people! Went on the Dream in the summer and in the fall, it never felt crowded and the crew were the best we have encountered to date.

My kids love strawberry daiquiris, but they only got them when they were with us, usually at the comedy show.

Our kids are grown and gone but our most recent cruise we spent some time in the game room and I watched a kid on this punching game where the harder you punch the more tickets you got. It was 1.10 a swipe and I saw that kids swipe in 20 times in one minute. I had to walk away from the heat of his BLUE sign and sail card as it was on FIRE!
On their first cruise my older son spent $37 in the arcade in about 10 minutes, that was the end of their arcade experience. They aren't allowed in there without us. On their last 2 cruises, we didn't set any limits, just told them the rules and they stuck to them.
-
I thought you could set a daily limit. No? So if I give them $20 a day max, I can't put a lump sum down but have to load the card each day with the $20? I don't get it.
Like I said this was our experience, I tried to set a daily limit and was told I couldn't set that up to happen automatically. So if I wanted to give them $20 a day I would have to give them a $20 limit the first day and then the second day, give them a $40 limit third day a $60 limit and so on. It was just easier for us to put the entire allowance on at once and when it was gone, it was gone. Again this was OUR experience, as with SO many other things on Carnival, individual ships and individual crew may do things differently.
-
In our experience you can only do a lump sum, not a daily limit. You can add more if needed also, but it has to be added to the original amount. So if you give them a $50 limit and they spend it and then decide to give them another $20, you have to change their amount to $70. I did it wrong the first time and their cards didn't work, so had to go back and do it again.

We love the French quarter location. We've stayed there twice. Some of the rooms are in a strange location, but a bellhop takes you to your room so you won't get lost. Great location! Getting a cab to the port is fast and easy.

Has both the Mongolian wok and the Tandoori place

Can you tell me more about the Ocean Plaza? Is it inside or outside? Is there a bar? Open all day/evening or only certain hours? Thank you for replying!
Its on the 5th floor open all day and has a bar. There is a small dance floor, they also play trivia and a few other things there. Kind of like the area outside of the Red frog Pub on the Sunshine.

We missed a couple of those things on the Dream also, but we LOVED the Dream anyway. We liked those things on the Sunshine, but it was our least favorite cruise to date. We went on the Dream twice last year and they have an exceptional crew, our hangout place was the Blue Iguana. Really fun bartenders there. The burrito bar, while not as good as the Blue Iguana Cantina, was still good. The pasta place is great! Ocean plaza is another great place to hang out. They often times had a great band playing.

We've never really had a problem meeting up with each other, but on the last cruise we decided to leave our phones on so we could text each other and our kids and their sitter could text us. The kids and sitter never found anything important enough to text us about, but we did text each other onboard a couple of times when one of us changed our minds about where we were headed or we forgot something in the room we wanted the other to grab, little things like that. It really saved us a headache when we decided to separate in Nassau and meet back up at the Harley Davidson, turned out there are 2 HD's and we were each waiting at a different one. In the end our cellphone bill ended up being $8 or $9 more than normal. Great deal! We will be using our phones from now on.

If you have a tender port, just head down to guest services and let them know you are ready to leave the ship and they will walk you right to a waiting tender. We LOVED this and we never saw instructions on how to use the tender perk anywhere in the cabin.

We drink the tap water on the ship and have never had a bad reaction to it. At home we buy water because our local tap water is hard water .
Everyone has different taste buds so if you don't like the taste plain it can certainly be used to mix drinks.
I doubt it you would taste the difference that way.
I agree the ships water tastes great and I'm picky. We still buy the bottled water though just for the convenience.

We always order a case and its waiting in our room, its like $23 but we don't have to lug it around and we have it right at hand for taking medications and hydrating after margaritas :p The small bottles are great for throwing in the backpack on port days. You can order 6 packs, 12 packs, or 24 packs.

On the Dream twice last year, it didn't have lights like this.

Went on the Dream twice last year, once in the middle of summer with a really full ship and we thought it was really uncrowded. Of course this was after spending Christmas on the Sunshine, by far the most crowded ship we have been on.

I am a Margarita lover, and just wondering what a spicy Margarita is?
I don't know for sure what's in it and I know a lot of people love it, but I thought it was gross. I love margaritas and I love spicy food, but this tasted like they dumped chili powder into my drink. NASTY, maybe they didn't make it right.

Do they make this frozen?
