On the offer my husband just received, there were 5 "categories" with select cruises in each.  The first category had free interior rooms ( 8 cruises to pick from in this category ) and the other rooms could be upgraded for a price...up to $799 additional for a NS.  The other categories had interiors from $99-$399 and additional upgrades on NS ran from $800-$1600. Ocean-view, verandah and Signature Suites were also available for upgrades.  Each category had 4 to 8 cruises to choose from.

I just received the same offer. I was tempted but unfortunately it doesn't fit my schedule. Hope I get another one sometime.

Wow. Thanks for the picture. Now, I’m looking forward to trying it. I hope they don’t have long lines for salads.

I think you will enjoy your salads. I ate one practically everyday on the N. Amsterdam last month. They have a great selection of extras and will make it any way you want it. The lines can get quite long but they serve from both ends (2-lines) and it moves along quickly.☺️

I think perhaps this is referring to the pastries that are traditionally offered when one is seated for breakfast in the dining room.  As I recall they were not passed on the Noordam at the end of the Alaska season last year.  I did ask and the server came to our table.  Coffee and pastries are the traditional welcome for breakfast in the dining room.  Ask for them...otherwise this tradition will go away, too!

We experienced the same serving on our recent N. Amsterdam cruise last month. The pastries were not offered as we were seated but if you asked a tray was brought to you to make your selection. The chocolate and blueberry muffins were also on the tray.

  4. Enjoying your informative review of your K'Dam cruise. I especially enjoyed the pictures of Half Moon Cay. We just got off a 14 day Panama Canal cruise on the N. Amsterdam and unfortunately HMC was not part of our cruise. After looking at your pics we will have to schedule another trip to see the island. Thanks again John.
