They do ask that you submit at least 14 days before your cruise.  I sent mine on Sunday and had it in my account by Thursday.

So I'm on my cruise planner and I'm trying to purchase on board credit using the gift cards but the only payment options are using a credit card or paypal.  Am I missing something??

I have three princess gift cards to use on our next trip.  The cruise is paid for so should I buy on board credit now with them or wait until I board the ship? Does it even matter?

My first three cruises were with Princess (2 on Caribbean Princess, the other on Emerald - love those ships!).  We then did two with Carnival due to schedules and itineraries.  While I had no problems with Carnival per se, I will tell you that we just booked Regal Princess for April and can't wait to get back!  Welcome to Princess, you will not be disappointed.

perhaps they ran out of them... I believe it happens to the carnival ones often.

yea i saw the cards last night around 11 but today they are gone.

Why? Would you elaborate. We are going to be on it in two weeks with our 6 & 7 year old....

There really is not a lot for kids to do in my opinion.

I got the card two years ago, used for everything, paid no interest and just paid for our cruise next month. Done with that card because of what others have said. Switched to capital one card now.
