  1. Yes,  I might skip pre booking.
See this review, looks like ship pricing same as online so might as well wait.

I tend to buy 2-3 8x10 studio pictures and spend about $50-75...
However wife is right, I should not buy the pictures...
These pictures stay packed in boxes 🙂

I am getting this (Saw my friend use it today and it works well) tripod.

  2. Internet - 1 device no-streaming is $72.73, is this a discount price? What is the regular price on the ship for 7 night cruise?
Photo - 1) Mix and Match 10 photos - $100. It does not specify what size, are these 5x7 small pictures or studio 8x10 pictures? (I would think small at this price).

Also what's the regular price on ship for this package? Or 8x10 pictures?

                 2) There is a All inclusive digital package $150 for all pictures taken by photographers. I think you get digital copy only.
Does these include studio backdrop pictures? What's the regular price on the ship for this?

I am trying to figure out should I get these pre-cruise or decide it on the ship.

    Thanks
    Robert

Thanks for this review I'm sure things will be a bit different now post Covid but definitely gives me a nice idea of what to expect

Thanks for adding this to Sep 25 roll call.

APDMOM - WOW, effort you put into the review and details are amazing. Thanks to your efforts, I have learned a lot about this ship and what to expect (First time on MSC).

If as your first post says B3 then it would be Aurea, MSC do not allow drinks to be taken onboard.

    Thanks,

My mistake I should have said B2.
I know for a fact it's Fantastica experience...

roberttz ... A heads up re cabins, there are no longer B1,2 or 3, they are either Bella, Fantastica or Aurea and Yacht club ... 😁

Aha so ours is now Fantastica 🙂

BTW: Can you take soda cans on the ship at embarkation? (Carnival allows this).
We only use 4-5 cans during whole trip. I might just buy few on the ship if necessary.

Thank you all, glad I can fit my luggage under the bed.
We are 2 weeks before you (25th-3).
I did pick this cabin so it faces Ocean Cay when docked.
Thanks for the videos, looks like my room is almost same location 2 floors above.

  8. Hello first time on MSC (multiple Carnival and RCI).
Some questions about my upcoming cruise...

I have booked the balcony cabin 13134.
    I believe it is a category B3.

Not knowing how big the cabin is...
Is there a storage under the bed to put away suite case?
2 ppl, 2 suite cases (NOT a carry-On, checked in size).

On the Ocean Cay stop, they have snorkel rental.
Is there a good snorkel spot off the beach or they take you via small boat?

    Never been to Costa Maya.
Does the ship dock or you have to take the tender?

    Thank you

  9. It's 'Fantastica' so I will have to fight my way for the seats 🙂
This is the first time we are going on a larger ship, something to try out.

Looking forward to the Ocean Cay stop (hope they don't cancel it).
They have two stops at Ocean Cay once going to Mexico and once coming back so hopefully we will get one stop out of it 🙂

  10. Hi,

I am taking the 7 night cruise on Meraviglia end of September.
I have seen other daily planners but not for above itinerary.

Primarily I want to find out timing of main theater shows.
Trying to figure out dinner time so I can catch at least one show without rushing.

    Thanks
    Robert

  11. Thank you all.

I reserved shuttle on Cortrans before the cruise.

They actually pick us up right from the hotel near the airport.

Their reservation system was good, filled out the form and I got email with confirmation. (Payment to be done on the day of travel with cash or CC).

I will have to book the rental car on the day we come back.

I would like to do air boat tours and may be spend some time at Cocoa beach since we have 8+ hours there before the flight.

One of the link provided above has a section on shore trips... http://cruiseportcanaveral.us/shoretrips/

  12. Hi,

Traveling next week to MCO for a short cruise from Cape Canaveral.

    Just two ppl.

Flying in the night before the cruise to MCO and have a hotel near MCO.

I plan to take free shuttle to/from hotel to the airport.

My check-in at the port is noon so I am thinking of just taking one of the shuttle on the morning of cruise to Cape Canaveral. Any recommendation?

On the way back, ship docs 8 AM. I am hoping to be out by 10:00.

My flight is at 7:45 PM that gives plenty of time to do something.

For this part I am thinking of renting a car.

What is the closest car rental company? I have been to CC before and remember taking 10 minute shuttle.

    Any other recommendations?

    Thanks,

    Robert

  13. Hi,

I have read through some of the replies and I still have a question.

We are coming back Saturday Sep 10th at Miami port, POM from cruise.

I am renting a car (Alamo) from FLL (since my flight out is from FLL next day).

I called Alamo and they said they have free shuttle from port to car rental.

However I am not sure they meant POM or FLL port.

So does anyone know if Alamo offers free shuttle from POM to FLL airport (NOT MIA airport)?

If not I will just book SAS shuttle (one I am taking from FLL to POM previous Saturday).

I thought I would check here first.

    Thanks,

    Robert

  14. If he says 8:00 am...then you go by SHIP'S time....if the ship's clocks say 8:00, you better meet him!

It doesn't matter WHAT time local time is...you MUST ALWAYS go by ship's time....there are clocks everywhere...and, at all the exits.

Captain Marvins KNOWS how this stuff works. Ship's time is all that matters.

    Yup that's what they replied.

BTW: Their cancellation policy is very good.

Answer I got from Cpt. Marvin contact:

    ------------------------------------------------------------

I believe Carnival breeze is on the same as local time.

Our cancellation policy is that if your ship cannot stop here on its scheduled day, or arrives too late for you to take our tour, you will not be charged. If you need to cancel your reservation for personal reasons, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged.

    -----------------------------

Also Amy2313 keep in mind that you have to take a small boat (tender) from the ship to get on the island so allocate some time for that as well.

  15. Ask them via email at info@captainmarvins.com

I told them my ship date and time listed on Carnival site and asked them if their 3 stop tour which starts at 10AM will be doable.

On their site they said they will answer time zone related questions...

Good luck, we are going 2/23 Carnival Breeze.

I have used Captain Marvin back in 2002 and they did really good job.

We were only 7-9 ppl. and they took us to nice shallow less crowded spot on the sandbar.
