  1. Happy holidays everyone.  Booked veranda deck 6. November this year. The reviews refer to unsanitary shower  curtains.  Mould and scum on my feet is manageable ..but not my body.

    Question..do you think I can ask for a new one..12 night event..or should I pack a new one..where's the tape measure guy?  Ha ha.

  2. Hello. Just booked so I wanted to review the offerings for Classic & Premium Drink Packages.  It's been over 2 years.

    Read at the bottom of PDF description in 'small print'...'20%service charge will be added'  to each drink.

    mmm..is this new?  With a drink package, are you charged this 20% or does your 'tip' package cover it?

    At the end of the cruise, are you settling $$ 4 pages of 'service charges'??

    I searched and didn't find any clarification.  Thank you in advance.

In  these days time is hard to follow...weeks turn into months, etc. So..imagine if Celebrity took over an exclusive holiday address with their X standards, food, drink packages,24 hour customer desk,  spa, etc.  Hundreds of X dedicated customers have thousands of $ in FCC that they may never use (due to age, health, cruise future, etc)...imagine X Customers arriving at the airport.(.after getting pre=Tested.at their departure )then proceeding  to the exclusive resort for 10..14 days..Yes it could be years before any board a X Boat..so in the meantime wouldn't it be fun to eat, MSBC, drink, feel secure in all sense of security..that's my time of holiday..that's why I have sailed in X the past 14 years..secure,,calm and cool

  4. psst..my sister and I left Reflection 11 nighter Feb 21st..the one holiday I take each year..I take my sister along for the fun.  From the time we left Toronto Airport Feb 8th and returned Friday Feb 21st,,,I only saw 12 people with face masks....we got thru the curtain by hours..thank you everyone for guidance ...panic started 48 hours later..

Life's little joys are here...Hate to say this..but a glorious day in small town Ontario..2 chipmunks made it thru the winter..the blue jays are screaming for more food..also the baseball team of black wing birds came by screaming for more crummy seed!  Live alone work alone..has always scrounged also for protein at the grocery stores...self employed retail for 30 years..so one learns how to scrimp and save every day..ha ha don't you love retail!!..safe safe and clean

  6. Perhaps to enhance the ballet experience, I would really enjoy a casual 30 minute commentary from the Ballet Staff..their history, their travels, their performance experiences - 

    ..and to complete the event..have a 20 minute Q&A with a couple of the dancers.

    Venue?:  Celebrity Central 

    The Dancers work, train and dance their dream..it would be a thrill.

  7. "Reef Safe"  Sunscreen..available for purchase on the Boat???...wow..I did get a 'response' assuring me that Celebrity was selling such'  products'  on board. (read the fine print like they do at XCaret..ha ha.)  .I am so  pleased that it gave me an opportunity to promote 'reef safe' products and the critical ingredients of such on CC.  My sister and I learnt about this issue after visiting XCaret, Cozumel, XTrip...Just because the product says it's 'organic'..doesn't make it 'reef safe'. ..ha ha back on Reflection Feb 10!!

Is there room/interest in educating and promoting such products in the Ship Stores?  In January 2018 such products were impossible to find/buy FortLauderdale.(Walgreens,Walmart, CVS) .  Active ingredients must be titanium oxide and zinc oxide. My sister & I visited XCaret Cozemel XTour and at the entrance staff pulls out any sunscreen not acceptable (returned at exit)...We knew the rules from our previous visit..  By the way, State of Hawaii has banned the sale of 'non-conforming product' July 2018. 

    I have noticed today that the corporate companies that were shouting out 'silly silly' 6 months ago have launched new product lines promoting 'reef safe'..I am Canadian so my USA exposure is limited Thank you

     

  9. Down at Guest Services, you can pick up 'Comment Cards'..to complain or commend about service and/or staff. They are available every day of your cruise.

    A positive sunny comment about Crew will win them a extra hour sleep, half day off, etc. 

    These comment cards are ready daily, and are worth their wealth in support and gold $$$ confirmation for the  Crew.

    Your comments/confirmation about the crew is worth  a million dollars!!

  10. Just got off Reflection Feb 8.....wow...live music was fantastic...strings,,jazz piano..haunting female singer & guitar.

    I had never experienced such a variety of music and venues. Wow.

    Celebrity re-designed daily sheet to show a summary of live music venues of the day.  Fold the sheet into quarters - and there was a whole day of music.

    Very very rich and inspiring. Thank you X

  11. Can I anticipate any special recognition of this special day? Moment of Silence? Guest speakers, guest presentations?  Just inquiring  and knowing there would be an international on board. it could be so enriching.

  12. I am from the North, so I have seen enough brown dry grass with staff struggling to keep it green and healthly.....soooooo..I would love to see a herb garden with gravel pathway surrounding planting. (this way you can get down and personal with the plants!)

    Add 'info cards' name, history and uses (cooking & traditional uses thru history).

    Great if X would use herbs in their cooking. And also outstanding opportunity to be able to touch, smell and learn about the plantings.

Back in the financial drop-dead 2009..I scooped a return flight to Ft.Lauderdale for $129 return from Winnipeg....looked around for a proper hotel..no way...found a RCCL cruise to fit my schedule..got back into cruising every year since..how to compare the quality and quantity of Celebrity (I quickly changed the next year!)..24 hour security and front office service...sure beats those 'ocean-side' hotels in FFL!!

    Every year...I look forward to my 'holiday' with all the X staff.

  14. ..speaking about Cozumel..Equinox stays over for 2 nights. X offers a 8 hour tour to XCaret'.

    My research concludes this is a one-stop shop for Mexican ruins, culture, nature, butterflies, food, swimming in the caves, shopping & more...

    Any comments/experiences?

    I will attend the 2 hour excursion seminar on the boat..but a comment from real people would be helpful!

    Interesting question was asked: Will the Casino/Dealer accept Elite Casino Vouchers as payment for the $15 worth of chips required?

    Anyone used their Elite Vouchers?

    (I am not Elite - so I don't know the 'fine print' restrictions on these vouchers.

  16. The Music Director treated us like we were 'Pro-Singers'! He had no mercy or patience with dear Mannie.

     

    He was a little softer on us...we were the paying choir for his Concert!!

     

    We (the choir) did rebel and asked that Mannie be treated gently..Mannie had to sight-read these very serious music scores..dim light..

     

    The fun part was meeting and listening to the voices from around the world (actually it was Upper USA states!).

     

    It was neat to experience the power of a professional musical director..

     

    Lots of fun!
