Yep. The new forward facing balconies exist where the people in your other picture were standing. They are tunnel balconies with high glass dividers on each side and a high glass wall on the front to shelter from the wind.
For perspective, the railing that used to be in front of the Peek A Boo area can be seen in this picture. This is at the new glass wall of the forward facing balconies.
Turning around and looking up would be exactly what you would see in your picture looking into the Panoramic Suite.
Anyone lounging on their balcony would be in full view from the Panoramic OV Suite.
Gotta say this is just yuck!

Maybe consider My Time Dining and split into two tables.
Probably best option. On nights where your kids want to engage in a particular organised activity that clashes with dinner you can always go to the Windjammer.

Great video. Though Bedroom doesn't have much privacy with those big windows facing along the side of the ship. Would probably need to keep the blinds closed most of the time. I also would miss having a balcony but that's just me.

Celebrity arranged Visas for us for Vietnam back in Feb this year. Cost was $25US. I did email them a couple of months prior to the cruise to confirm though as didn't want to be caught short in case I had to arrange them myself.

Merry Xmas everyone and Happy cruising in the New Year.
Also many thanks for all the wonderful information, advice comments and reviews posted this year. I find these very valuable and I hope in some small way I have helped as well. Keep the info coming!

Would be even less ports for an Oasis class ship to dock in our region - even less than Ovation is able to get into. I don't think they really design the Oasis class ships with tendering in mind at all. Can you imagine tendering for 6,000+ pax!

Does anyone know how frequently Royal change the Production shows on their ships?
We sailed on Ovation in Jan 2016 and they had Pixels, Live Love Legs and The Beautiful Dream.
We are sailing Ovation again in April 2020 and from what I have read on this board recently the shows haven't changed since.
Seems a long time to keep the same entertainment.

- We were on the Feb 16 Sailing from Hong Kong to Singapore in a CS. If you look at the pic of the retreat lounge - count the number of CCTV cameras in the ceiling. The room has an unusually large number. I asked one of the officers at the Senior Officers party and he said they are planning for other functionality in the future. But remember the lounge is just down from the Casino so they may be looking to use it as "High Rollers Lounge" in the future. RCL did this with Ovation of the seas - the Diamond Lounge was a "High Rollers" room during it's Asia cruise season and went back to being the Diamond Lounge during her Australia/New Zealand season.

I'll be on the April 13th in a CS and get some shots of that. Especially since none have appeared from the Millennium refresh.
Posted some CS pics from Millennium over the weekend on the Millennium Revolution thread.

Thanks for the great pictures! I am assuming, since there isn't a picture of one, that there is no free-standing bar on the Retreat Sundeck and it has roving servers instead? Are the drinks complimentary on the Retreat Sundeck (they take your Sea Pass card on the Edge for the Retreat Sundeck - not in the Retreat Lounge, though almost everyone has the premium package so not an issue)? Do you think there were enough loungers up there?
Thanks!
Correct there is no free standing bar though plenty of staff regularly roving to ensure everyone has what they need. We never had to show our seapass cards except on embarkation day when we went up to explore. We had the premium package anyway so perhaps they remembered that like they did in Luminae.
There were plenty of loungers and sun beds etc as well as tables and towels. We were there most sea days and it was never ever crowded.

Not sure if the Millennium Retreat Sundeck has been shown on this thread yet. The Luminae Maitre’d is also responsible for the food and beverage service here snd as its 8 decks up and at the other end of the ship from Luminae it keeps Tanya very busy. Full bar service as per the Retreat Lounge is available as well as “bites” from 11am to 2pm. These are simple dishes like wraps and sandwiches. Small helpings if you wish to eat whilst relaxing on a lounger or a larger size if you wish to be seated at a table.
You will notice there is absolutely no way to escape the sun unless you grab one if the little “cocoon” seats. So it can get pretty uncomfortable up there in warm days. Can be pretty windy too as this is deck 12 forward above the Cosmos lounge.
Escape the sun in one of these.....

I'm disappointed in the table and chairs in the CS. First thing that came to mind was a Homewoods Suites. Now don't get me wrong I love staying at a Homewoods when I'm on the road. It's my first pick. But not in a Celebrity Suite. It's looks like a plastic picnic table.
Yep table was heavy plastic as was the vanity in the bathroom.

I'm not sure how you could fit 4 people around that table comfortably - there wouldn't be any elbow room. The round table was much better IMHO. I also don't get that big chair in the living room - is it missing a back cushion? How could you sit comfortably on that? I guess one always leans forward with their elbows on their knees. Like the colours - except I don't understand the bathroom floor tiles....the geometric pattern is interesting but why is the marble tile surrounding it different than the tile colours on the walls? Looks beige not grey to match. Is that just the lighting? Bedroom looks nice. Don't like the bedside mushroom lamps though.
That big chair doesn't have a cushion and it's very deep so you need to grab one or two of the small cushions from the sofa to use it - which we didn't much.
Yes the floor tiles are an "off white" colour for some reason.

I should also say the layout had its quirks some we could fix some we couldn’t. If someone is sitting at the table in the chair near the bedroom door you cant get into or out of the bedroom. We had to move some of the little tables into the hallway entry to ensure we didnt have to wind around the room to get from point A to point B. There are a number of live plants in the rooms too and by the end of the cruise they weren’t looking too healthy so not sure how they are being cared for. Also we found the drawers in the wardrobe a weird shape with not enough width to stack things like T-shirts or shorts so they sit flat. Plenty of hanging space though and lots of storage shelving behind the bathroom door.

We did the 14 day Hong Kong to Singapore starting 16th Feb. Pics of Celebrity Suite. Balcony furniture a bit meh for a premium suite and too many nicnacs which could be an issue in heavy seas. Bath/shower still a bit difficult to get in and out of.
Luv this......Deck 10 outside the Cosmos Lounge.

The cheesy bread rolls on RCL in the MDR are also great though they don't have them every night.

You should still be able to have the TA grab the latest guest invoice for your booking. This will have all the information you are asking about and will show payments made and any outstanding balance.

Different home port but same old tired itineraries. What about more of the islands even PNG. Whilst Melbournian cruisers I’m sure will be happy isnt this just going to take demand away from Solstice? Also a sister ship to Solstice with not many differences. Can’t see the point really.

Excellent video. Makes me want to do an Alaskan Cruise even more.

NB: e-liquid containing nicotine is illegal to be sold in Australia. They will need to bring their own supply to last however long they will be away from home.

Have cruised Radiance, Explorer and Ovation on RCI. Have to say our 3 cruises on Radiance, relatively long ones at 14-16 nights each, were great. Service was wonderful and staff very helpful. Sometimes the entertainment was hit and miss but there was usually something available that was worth going to. Food quality and choice seems to have diminished over the years. However, love the ship ambiance, layout and the fact that its light and airy with all the glass. We too love to sit and read or relax on our balcony so not too fussed about daily activities on sea days and anyway these days these seem to be more "sales" activities rather than anything else.
Wouldn't go on a Voyager class ship again. Am doing a Trans Pacific on Ovation in 2020 as well. But all in all Radiance is our favorite..

I think if you had a single insurance policy covering you both then both of your costs would have been covered. If you each have separate policies then yes, you'd be out of luck.
-
Saw them on Radiance in Jan. Fantastic show. They were on board for a couple of days so had a chat with them one evening and they are really very very nice people. Got their start on the "Australia's Got Talent" show.

Thats an excellent Webcam David. Great find.
Suite Perks?

And I've noticed that since the introduction of "The Key" that the priority tender boarding perk is no longer listed in the suite benefits.
