Would anyone know the name and address of the dock that Emerald Cruises uses in Budapest? We are staying in Prague a few days before our cruise and will be taking a car from Prague to Budapest and need a name and or address to reserve our car reservation. I know about the train and prefer to take a car. Thank you in advance.

Good news to hear! Thanks for your update!

I can access my Trip Personalizer with Emerald Waterways by going to emeraldcruises.com. Go to bottom of the page, on the right side look for this: For Guests & Travel Advisors

Is there a changing room/bathroom facility at Freedom City Beach? Doing a rum tour first and didn't want to wear bathing suites for that. But if no changing facilities at beach will do. Thanks!
-
Thanks so much! You are great by checking on our questions and responding! You are a great help! We will be there by 10:00. Can't wait for Sunday to do the tour. Then off to Freedom City for some SUP!!!:p

Cruzan's website says they are open on Sat. and Sun. at 10:00 and the rest of the week at 9:00. We arrive this coming Sunday (6/14). Do they open at 9:00 for ships on a Sunday, or do they stick to their times as posted (10:00)?
Thank you!

When I last went in January I can happily tell you that the rental was $30 per hour including the lesson. The cool part is that after your hour as long as nobody is waiting for your board you can keep going! Just check in every hour and you're good.
Thanks for your reply. Did you go first thing in the morning or later in the day? We are the only ship in port that day so that will help. We were going to do the Cruzan Rum factory tour first and then the beach, but if there are less people in the morning we will go to the beach first and then the rum tour.

Has anyone recently been to Freedom City beach and done stand up paddle boarding? What is the price and for how long? Thanks for any information.

The private excursions that I have reserved all said cash only. You may want to check their websites to see if they accept anything else.
Most of mine take either cash or credit card. Just was wondering what most people who have cruised the southern Caribbean prefer to use - cash or credit. Thanks

Will be on the AOS June 13th. After reading the boards I have a few questions. 1. People who used porter's at the SJ airport - how much do you pay them? (We have 4 people.) 2. When doing private excursions on islands - (already booked) - do you pay with credit card or cash? Is the rate better to use cash or easier to use credit card? 3. I know taxi's run in zones in SJ - how much does it cost from port to airport?
Thanks for any input.

I also booked through Costco and have 2 rooms. When I made reservations for MTD for June cruise I was able to make reservations for all 4 of us. My link DID work. There must be a problem. Besides RC website kicking me off numerous times, I was able to link both rooms for the same time each night. Took a while to do it, but I got it done.

If we go on local bus 17 - approximately how long does it take to get to Nelson's Dockyard? I read it could take an hour? Thanks.
-
Planning on going to Nelson's in the am by using bus #17. Sightsee, then want to go to Valley Church Beach for the rest of the day. Questions - is there a bus that goes from Nelson's Dockyard to Valley Church Beach? If there is a bus that goes from Nelson's to the beach - what is the number? I know beach bus is #22 - do we look for that bus? Do we take a bus and ask the driver to let us know when we get to VCB? I know we can take a taxi, but prefer to go by bus, if available. Thanks in advance!!

Thinking of booking Bernard's. We are a family of 4 (all adults). How many people do they usually book on the beach/Marigot/Maho tour?
-
Cruising June 16 (I think we are the only ship in port). Want to take bus to Nelson's Dockyard and then go to a beach. Either do Valley Church or Darkwood. My question is: should we do the dockyard first then go to beach, or do the beach first then go to dockyard then go back to ship?
If we go to dockyard first can we catch a bus to Valley Church Beach or do we need to take a taxi.
Thank you for any information.

My family and I used Island Man (Kurt) on February 19th and had a great time. He drove us from the pier to the Pitons. ALong teh way we stopped at various spots (bannana plantation, scenic views). All along teh way he told us about the island. We also stopped at the mudbaths, a waterfall, lunch at a very good local restaurant and a beach. Kurt was a great driver and was very safe. If I went back to St. Lucia, I would definitely use Kurt to drive my family. For the four of us, the cost was $160. We were with Kurt from about 8:15am to 4pm. Our additional costs were entrance to the mudbaths ($22 for 4), entrance to waterfall ($12 for 4) and lunch ($35 for 4).
Go with Island Man, you will not be dissapointed. He will also help you arrange water transportation to Lalouise Beach if you desire. I beleieve it woudl have been $50 per couple for the roundtrip.
Hi - could you please message me Kurt's email or how to contact him? Thanks!!

One more to confirm this is what we will do! Sorry for all the posts, hope they help. If you do you use Barrachin's on your trip, would you post your thoughts when you return on this thread? Thanks!! :)
Barrachina (a restaurant in Old San Juan) has free luggage storage from 9am-5pm. Here is their website: http://www.barrachina.com/indexb.php
It is a very convenient location (with decent food/drinks) if you are looking to shop around Old San Juan.

Just found this on the San Juan port thread. I think this is what we will do for Saturday am.
There is a restaurant in Old San Juan, The Barrachina, that will store luggage for you. We have used them several times. It is quite safe and secure and the only cost is a tip for the attendent. It is also a nice place to eat. It is located at 104 Calle Fortaleza.

Good question. It appears that they start embarkation around 11am. This is based on when they finish unloading the previous cruise. I have not found any comments that the luggage handlers have accepted bags prior to embarkation. We will be in Sju in 5 days arriving at 5am and probably rent a car to store our bags. I will ask the porters about the start time for bag drop off.
Check out tripadvisor San Juan forum. Someone suggested a restaurant called Barrachina's will store luggage for you while touring OSJ. If I don't get a response about dropping of luggage at port, we may try the restaurant. See my post there. Hope this helps.

On Adventure (June 13). Can we, and how early in the morning, can we drop of our luggage at port and then go tour Old San Juan? I know we can't check in for the ship, but can we just drop off and check in our luggage and then come back to check in later? We are arriving on Friday, but would like to take our time sight seeing the Old city and would like to do it Saturday morning. Thanks for an input.

Sure, the taxi will take about 20 minutes, maybe a half hour, to get you downtown. I prefer Frederiksted (it's my home after all) but there's no reason you can't walk around both towns. Just be aware of the time and you should have no problems.
Thank you so much for your help, very much appreciated!

If we do the Freedom city beach in morning would we have time to go to the Tide Pools? If so, what time should we leave the beach? I have posted another post above. Thanks.
How long is Emerald's Budapest guided coach tour?

Will be on the Emerald Sky Budapest to Amsterdam starting July 16, 2022. We have a full day in Budapest on Sunday and was wondering if anyone knows how long the Emerald included excursion usually lasts? Is it an all morning tour and ends for lunch back on the boat? Or does it last into the afternoon? Would like to get tickets for a tour of Parliament in the afternoon possibly. Thank you.
