  1. You are right the MDR was not broken.I hope they sent all the quantum class ships to China. And replace them with a Voyager or Freedom class ship. But without quantum prices.:)

I think RCCL have made a huge and costly mistake with Dynamic Dining. Let's hope they don't make another with Rotational Dining. I love RCCL, I love the MDR concept with the addition of paid for restaurants / dining. Like I said

If it ain't broke... Don't fix it...

  2. i am really hoping that someone on board can get us a picture of that deck above the new staterooms added on deck 12.

In fact i would love to see the whole area, where does the jogging track go? what does deck 12 now look like facing forward from the solarium?

Lets pray we get some more pics ASAP......

  3. OP,

We have made our first booking with choice air around a month ago, whilst we haven't actually flown yet, the service was excellent.

We booked flights from Manchester (UK) to Orlando, Orlando to JFK, JFK to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Leeds (UK). We paid a fraction of what we would have paid making individual reservations with the airlines. We paid £520pp.

We are very happy customers. :D:D:D

  4. Hi,

We have also experienced this on RCI, a cruiser we met on board gave us a tip, and it works. We have sailed 5 times using the tip and it has worked every time.

During checking in online, check the option to pay your account with cash. Do not give any card details at this stage.

When arriving at the pier, and handing over your set sail pass, the agent will confirm you wish to pay by cash for your onboard account. At this point simply say, I have changed my mind, please can I add my credit card to pay for my account instead?

She will then issue you with a very small contract to add your card details to and sign, you get a copy, she keeps one for the ship. There is a tick box at the bottom for either converting or to pay in USD.

You have your carbon copy of your agreement with RCI.

Enjoy your vacation with no hassle.

    :-)

  5. QUESTION,

I can see from the deck plans that on deck 12 the jogging track seems to end on both sides next to the new added staterooms. ????

This doesn't seem to make sense...

Surly it must either go up and over the new staterooms or be drastically shortened in length and wrap around the back of the sky bar.

Anyone know the answer? Or any guesses or suggestions?

  6. We have a group booking on board FR in November as me and my fiancée are getting married on board.

I just contacted group reservations to add an additional stateroom to our booking and he offered me an inside stateroom on deck 12 for our sailing, he offered me stateroom 1830. Which he described as been deck 12 forward.

3255 is what we added to our group in the end, which is an inside stateroom on deck 3 in what is currently the crypt.

He told me he has a physical copy of the deck plans in front of him but no electronic version, I asked him if he could scan and send, he said he was unsure if he could or not. But if he can, he is going to e-mail this across on Monday...

So there will definatly be new staterooms on deck 12 forward and on deck 3 in the Crypt. You heared it here first!

And hopefully we may have some deck plans V.Soon.......

  7. Hi Liz and everyone.

Just got back from our lovely TA Vicky who was finishing the booking as we arrived!!! We are now on the 20th June to the Med for Lou's birthday in the cabin we so desired. Will have to start a meet and mingle now. Good luck to all cruisers, hope you get what you want. Regards Daz and Lou. :):):):):)

I tried to start a meet & mingle for ours but anthem isn't listed yet!!!

  8. We are considering booking one of the oceanview rooms at the front of the ship on deck 9 10 or 11. However, when I look at the drawings of the ship used in their promotion videos, it looks like there is a superstructure of some sort in front of those windows. The deck plans show what looks like a small hallway going out to that superstructure (or whatever the correct name for it is).

I would do a search of the forum to see if this has been addressed but that function isn't working, so I hoped that someone could tell me if they think this is true. I would love to stand at the window and look out at the sea ahead of me but I don't want to look out through the window and then through the superstructure.

    Thanks in advance.

    Be aware,

The superior ocean view staterooms on quantum and anthem have a sofabed and therefore, any sailings after 1st January 2015 must have 3 or 4 occupants in order to book!!

We will be getting married on anthem of the seas in 2015, and RCCL won't allow us to book one of these rooms for the extra space, as there will only be 2 occupants.

  9. Cruises which stop at CocoCay the day before Nassau should certainly qualify for the 24 hour rule.

Thanks for this, you don't know which itineraries do Cococay and then Nassau do you?

I think the idea of getting the legal side of it on land and then a ceremony at sea is probably going to be the best plan!

  10. Hi,

Me and my fiancée are trying to plan a wedding at sea onboard, however we have come up against a brick wall.

We have been informed that in order to get married at sea we need to apply for a wedding licence in the Bahamas, in order to get this licence, we must appear before the courthouse in the Bahamas to apply, we must have been on or in Bahamian water for 24 hours before we can apply for the licence!!

This is almost impossible to do on most Royal itineraries as you are never in port for more than 24hrs.

Is there any other uk passengers either looked into a marriage at sea or been married at sea that could clarify any info on the licence.

Does anybody also know, if we decide to get married in port instead, would the licence be required from that port instead of from the Bahamas.

Any information on royal weddings that you have would be a massive help.

    Thanks
