From 9/26 sailing:
Testing is in the next terminal over from Breakaway.
The bracelet does not need to be worn after boarding.
Buffet was same as pre-Covid, self service.

the letter I received from NCL states, "Bermuda requires that all guests take a COVID-19 PCR test within 96-hours prior to their sail date.
· All guests must register on the Bermuda Tourism website and upload their negative test result within 72-hours of embarkation." Which to me means I must have the covid test results within 24 hours and upload them to Bermuda Tourism 72 hours prior to embarcation.Within 72 hours means you can't do it more than 72 hours before the trip. We have until Saturday at 2:00, and like Jamie I will get nervous Friday night but not worried about it.

Cruises with embarkation dates through December 31, 2021:
All guests sailing aboard cruises with embarkation dates through December 31, 2021, are required to be fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks prior ro departure in order to board.
Did this become effective today? I knew about Oct 31, but this appears to be a change.

Escape is still my favorite ship. I love reading reviews about her and seeing other people get to love her. I am not sure when I will be sailing the Escape again since it's moving to the Baltics, but I hope it's back in North America in the next year or two.
Escape is back in US sailing out of Port Canaveral November 2020 -April 2021.

American diner scheduled to open today. 5 oclock somewhere as well under the Pour House name. Signage and maps throughout the ship have been updated.

This is latest on NCL website:HURRICANE DORIAN UPDATE
Hurricane Dorian – UPDATE: August 31, 2019 - 9:00 PM EST (1:00 AM UTC)
The safety and security of our guests and crew is always our top priority. We continue to monitor Hurricane Dorian in the Caribbean and are in constant communication with the United States Coast Guard, as to any necessary itinerary changes. As such, we have modified the following itineraries for Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Sun.
Norwegian Breakaway – August 25, 2019 Sailing
Norwegian Breakaway departed Cozumel, Mexico early this morning, August 31, 2019 for her return to Miami, Florida on September 1, as originally scheduled.
Norwegian Breakaway – September 1, 2019 Sailing
Due to Hurricane Dorian in the Caribbean, the departure schedule for the September 1, 2019 voyage on Norwegian Breakaway has been revised to accommodate an earlier check-in beginning at 9 a.m. All guests must be at the port by 11 a.m. or sooner, as the United States Coast Guard will be taking all necessary precautions to prepare the port for closure later that day, in advance of the storm. The ship will sail her original Western Caribbean itinerary.

If you miss passes ask to be put on a waiting list. Once smokers realize there is no smoking in Vibe a few passes show up.

I guess I am lucky to have an excellent PCC.

I just spoke with the tech support folks and reported the problem I was experiencing (no Escape cruises for June 2019 through Feb 2020). They put me on hold to verify and confirmed something was wrong. Assured me that it would be addressed asap. Will be interesting to see how long it takes to get fixed.

I am wondering if anyone here has had experience with using this benefit. Particularly the Platinum complimentary annual trip to Atlantis, Paradise Island resort in The Bahamas.
Thanks

If you are carrying your luggage it's possible. I would be on line to disembark by 7:30 and call an Uber or Lyft after I cleared customs. I usually make an 8:12 train at NYC Penn Station with no problem. I would expect you will be at LaGuardia by 9:00. If you are not carrying your luggage it would be tight.

Wondering who the current entertainers are in the District on the Escape.

This picture was in a recent Bliss live review. When Escape moved to NY none of the beer changed, so I am going to guess that the selection did not change on the Bliss when it moved to Miami.

The humidor room on the Breakaway is available 24x7. There are usually 10 or so different boxes of cigars on display, no Cuban cigars but a variety of brands that are common - Fuente, Macanudo, Partagas, Montecristo, Romeo etc. The waitstaff will assist you if buying a cigar. They have a cutter to cut for you. The waitstaff will walk through to check on drinks. On Breakaway you can also smoke outside of the humidor room on the waterfront, but not at the bar.

Virgin Islands Covid Requirements
in Norwegian Cruise Line
Posted
Sailing on Escape to Tortola and St Thomas on November 13. Has anyone traveled to the Virgin Islands lately? Wondering if the NCL testing at port will satisfy the USVI requirements and if the requirements for USVI are accepted by BVI. USVI requirements are here https://www.usvitravelportal.com/
