we got a convertible just by walking across the street from the pier. Plenty of them waiting in line, if you walk away, they really start making deals. We ended up 4hrs for $20. Went to Havana bar (Hemingway) and some place for giant lobster tails for I think it was $6 a plate. They love the "Americans" tipped him well, it was worth it.

on 8/6/17 when we found out our assigned place was Giovannis, I went to cancel, they wanted the business sooo bad, we only had 2 reservations and they let the other 6 in my party in for the same $15, It was excellent, .

Just got back today, they put a sticker on you sail card, that's how the bar tenders know.

Ugh!
Thanks for the report, MR TIME.
Any additional info about this you that can pass along throughout the week is much appreciated! :)
Heading back to FLL @20.3 knts. Everything went fine.

When we left FLL on 8/6 on the Allure, we were told we had speed problems and port visits would be shortened. We left Nassau at 1:30 instead of the usual time. Don't know what the problem is but life is good.

cruise connection is a private bus, drops us right at the dock. Carnival says they will release check in times in Aug, and FTTF MIGHT be available in the last part of November if they have cancellations.
No big deal, we'll just wait outside like we did last year...
-
The earliest check in time for our Vista cruise in July is 11:00 am. So if you can get that time slot, you'll only have to hang out for 30 minutes or so outside.

hope I can get an 11:00, FTTF is already sold out 8 months ahead of time, I still check it everyday. Called Carnival, and they cant (wont) tell me when they will start taking check in times, nor odds of them opening up more FTTF.
Thanks

Hard to say exactly, it can vary from sailing to sailing. Depends also on your boarding priority and how many priority guests are going on before they call your time/zone to board. You shouldn't be waiting all that long if your bus arrives at 10:30am though.
Last year we waited 2 hrs in the sun, outside.

the SMALL print says you have to wait til you're 180 days out before you can select the time. Thanks for your help.
Cruise is in Feb, so i'll just have to wait.

No option yet for a check in time, Thats the problem, can I get that BEFORE final payment?
thanks

Cruise connection bus drops us off around 10:30 am at Port of Miami for the Vista. Does anyone know what time the Vista will start boarding, so we know how much time we will have to kill? (kill-not a perfect word in this day & age)

Thanks,, You are right about the activity, we are in our mid 70's and like to go late into the night. We can sleep when we die. lol Guess we'll just take what we get, as you say..
thanks again.

Does the JS have the same perks as the Ocean suite, ie,, dedicated concierge, priority embarkation etc?
I guess the OS has a larger balcony, but its the perks that matter... we're going to splurge this time.
Cruising on the Miracle from Tampa

Our age says this might be our last cruise, so I would like to put on the ritz for my wife.
We always stay in balconies, but I would like to splurge and get a suite for our next cruise.
What is the difference between a Junior suite and and Ocean suite on the Carnival Miracle?
Are the perks different. If this is a dumb question, don't flame me,, just by pass it please.

It randomly directs me to this new site and it is so difficult to navigate unless I want them to pick my cabin for me, which I do not. Come on Carnival IT dept!
TERRIBLE WEB SITE....

thanks for the link, guess they dropped the maître d, and covered him under "dining room staff" Found out the fee restaurants get part of it also, we always tipped then separately 20%.

Are the tips the same on ALL carnival ships? and if they are, how can if find out the breakdown.
-
We just used them last week from St Pete to FLL, and it was a great experience, clean, cool and free wi fi. Arrived cool and calm, same thing back home.
Less hassle than driving or FLYING..

We got word on the Tampbay news that the Miracle is moving to Tampa, anyone know about this? We're ready to book, tired of the Pride.

It was reported on the news in Tampa, that the Magic is coming to sail out of Tampa,,,, no dates given....LOVE IT....

if you want a LARGE mini, look at 108 or m108 or the same on the other side of the bridge. All the way forward but HUGE balconies and very private. There are only 4 of these on the ship.

Where is a good restaurant in Cozumel not to far from the dock?
Ponchos restaurant is our favorite. Its to the left of the pier shops if you're at the pier where you have to walk thru the stores. If you see the 3 Amigos, look to the left side of the shops and it will be there,,, good food & healthy margaritas...

I just booked with Princess and a free drink package was included, I took the 300.00 OBC because we do not drink. The room I booked is the same price we have with Carnival for our next cruise.
Might just go ahead and book the Regal Princess if they give away the drinks. I love that ship.
Thanks
Mike
