How early do I need to wake up to reserve seats by the pool?
Oh dear.

There was a sign on the dispensing machine near the pool bar and WJ not to refill water bottles because of sanitation issues. Nothing about refilling cups. How do you keep those straws clean ?

There's a brush for that.

Awesome! Guess what I'll be buying at Walmart today ;)
Go for an insulated one!

So here's a question...for those travel cups with a straw that you can buy at Walmart, can you use those to fill up in WJ and then take out to pool or stateroom?
Yup!

Got one on your suggestion as well!!
Thinking of bringing a white noise machine. It seems like I always pick the cabin next to the loud folks....and this upcoming cruise we are below the Windjammer....anyone try a noise machine on a cruise??? Do they work?
I use a white noise app on the iPad, it works great and has an alarm feature as well.

If you want quick access, choose A, if you want less people, choose E.

We actually liked Freeport- did a bike ride all over the island and it was great- very flat and nice to get some exercise. Port Canaveral is pretty bad. Not a bad Port to sail from, but not there long enough to have an interesting day as a port stop. People who go to Disney complain that they actually only get 1/2 a day there because of the travel time, and NASA is also a long day. I am not a fan of Grand Turk because there is nothing I want to do there. I do not like Margaritaville or their beach.
I also try to avoid cruises with tender ports because that eats up your day.
Grand Turk is one of my favorites! Leave the port area, every beach on the island is public. We had a gorgeous stretch of beach to ourselves. Great meal at a beach bar. One of the best vacation days we've ever had. [emoji2]

HAL you pick by color. :-(
But you get to pick when you book! :-)

Does anyone know which number is Eggshell? It looks like number 9.
(It is annoying that you book the cabana by color, but the map is by number)
Carnival you pick by number...

After reading this thread, I booked #10 green cabana for our Dec 26 cruise. You can now choose the cabana you want when booking this online.
Are you on HAL or carnival in December?

Beach at Bohio is public, there are no private beaches on GT. I would contact Bohio directly at info@bohioresort.com with price or availability inquiries as they don't post any of the non-guest information on their website.

Must recommend Bohio, lovely public beach, good snorkeling off the beach as well.

Shallow will be in closer to the shore, wall will be out at THE WALL, one of the largest reefs in the world. Do the wall, you won't regret it.
They usually give you a little floaty vest to help with buoyancy, and with flippers anyone comfortable in the water should be fine.

Go for it! HMC and GT are our happy places!

There are no private beaches anywhere on the island, so feel free to use any beach area you like. :)

I personally don't drink from cans because I like to keep it fresh and being able to put the cap back on instead of drinking it all once I open it.
This! A million times THIS!

Again, I will bring up the need to make the "Cheers" program accessible to more people. I am a light drinker - so the $49 a day package is completely out of reach for me. I firmly believe if they create a "shared" package for a cabin - instead of no one in the cabin buying - you have just increased your sales. It certainly is worth trying it out on a few ships.
Agreed, I'm a very light drinker, so the cheers program is a no-go for me

I use dry fit long leg running shorts, one size larger than I would for working out.

Not sure about cost, but if I remember correctly, you rent them both at the activity area...its the area on the beach with the flags, kayaks, catamarans, etc
