I just looked at their menu. Do they really offer $300 - $700 cocktails - as listed under Rarities?
Wow, this is no happy hours prices.

In any case, my whopping 100 shares that I bought at $12.90 are still making a little money (along with our OBC benefit).
I hope you didn't purchase this stock thinking you were going to make money on it. I purchase for the OBC.
I purchase my 100 shares at $20.25, but when it sank to $11, I bought another 200 shares which I sold at $20+. So my original shares were basically free.

How strict is NCL about this? If I get back to the ship one hour before the ship is due to leave, will that be a problem for me?
I don't know, I'm not willing to give this a try, but if you do, please come back here and let us know.

Do you tip with cash?
Cash is king.

This is a hard pill to swallow, I don't want somebody else playing around with my reservations, looking for the best bargain flights to save their employer a few dollars. I might pay a little more, but I like booking my own flights.

I received and use that offer on gold card last October, about 1 month before a final payments on one of my reservations. Its a targeted offer, I'm sure you will get it sometime in the future.

This tour is already sold out on our May cruise. I was able to book the bus through Juneau tours. Our goal is Nugget Falls rather than the glacier itself.
We are on the NCL Encore May 19th sailing, Mendenhall Glacier + salmon bake sold out. Will book Mendanhall with Juneau Tours, thanks for posting.

It would be best if you did carry off your own luggage and get yourself to SeaTac.
This is the best way to make your flight. Carry your own luggage and jump on a yellow taxi, I think its a flat rate of $40 or $45 from pier 66 to airport

Also it’s good to understand that NCL never has discounts on their shorex
Depending on your Latitude tier, you get a 10-20% off shore excursions. Also if you booked with the FAS package, you get $50 off every excursion booked with NCL, for one person per cabin. The $50 off will be deducted on your onboard account after completing excursion.

We've done this one...great experience!
Big fan of the show, can't wait!

Also deadliest catch tour is another excursion that sells out fast, I booked direct instead of the cruise line excursion.

This is one of the excursions we are interested in. Is the VIP the longer one?
Don't know if its the VIP, but the White Pass excursion that goes to Bennett its 7.5 hrs, if that's what you want and is available book it. Im going in a few week, that excursion sold out early December.
-
If you are interested on the White Pass rail excursion (6+hrs), book early, it sells out and then you are stuck with the basic 2.5 hrs scenic train ride.

If you search the internet for shuttle from Hobby airport to port of Galveston you will find a few companies that offer shared transport. Compare prices and check reviews, you will find a reliable transfer shuttle. We use one last year, about $30 pp, service was good.
-
I like selecting my flights, I pick the most direct and most convenient time for me. We normally fly in a day before, so definitely don't want be checking in at a hotel at 02:30 in the morning. I may pay a little more, I'll consider that an insurance.

are these events invitation only?
On embarkation day, we found a yellow envelope marked "For Your Eyes Only" with a folder, patch, challenge coin and pin inside, on a separate an invitation to attend gathering. You have to be registered with NCL for Military Appreciation Program.
-
I was aboard the Viva, March 3rd sailing. The gathering took place in the observation deck, about 30+ attendees. They passed hors d'oeuvres and drinks, a performer for Syd Norman band, sang the National Anthem, then they had all veterans introduce themselves (Name, Branch and years of service) It was about an hour long. 10% discount is great. Thank you NCL for recognizing our veterans.

I do my booking directly on NCL website, have 3 cruises coming and never spoke to a PCC.

NCL Encore
Beer Belly, I'm also on NCL Encore in May. I booked the Mediterranean inn, less than a mile from pier 66. I'm pretty sure there's some craft beers in that area.

If we have to pinch pennies so much that we have to save money by removing the DSC, then we shouldn't be cruising.
My feelings exactly, on another thread somebody was complaining about having to pay taxes on any drinks while the ship is on some US ports.
$20 pp daily DSC is nothing compare to the amount of the cruise.

We are booked on the Viva and wondered what's the earliest recommended departure time?
We were on the Viva on the March 3 sailing, we flew into San Juan a day before, boarded the ship on the 3rd around 11:30 am. On disembarkation, carried out our luggage around 7:30am with no hassle.
