Ok. We are going to hold on to our suite on Equinox, and keep our eyes on the Summit itinerary in the months to come to see if something interesting opens up later on. We do value the extra cabin space and large balcony, and also our access to the Retreat + Luminae .. and this more so than the more attractive itinerary. 

We have a reservation on Equinox (S-class), where we have a nice suite. But on the same departure date, we much prefer an itinerary on Summit (M-class). Unfortunately there are no suites available on Summit .. 

Do we keep our suite on Equinox, or do we change to a standard balcony on Summit, to get our preferred itinerary? 

What are your pros and cons? 

I hope they’ll find the “time” ( and I guess the $ ) to fix the missing things up on the retreat sun deck, before our Oct 2022 Caribbean cruise. I’d really love to see a hot tub up there, and a shower.

On S class ships, only Silhoutte has the full "Retreat" sundeck upgrade. Equinox got the upgraded furniture, but no bar. And there is very LITTLE shade on either ship's Retreat sundeck.  On the other hand, what was called Michael's Club on those two ships is now called the Retreat Lounge with new furniture and a brighter look. What is the main reason to book a suite, the retreat? Yes, there are off cause many reasons, but why do YOU book a suite? 

Maybe they fix some things on the ships right now, while there are no guests onboard anyway .. I guess it would make sense to use the time? 

Does anyone know, when (if?) Equinox is scheduled for a dry dock to finalise the things missing from her latest shortened dry dock ? Still missing a pool and/or hot tub(s) at the retreat sun deck .. 

Remember: If you’d like a south facing balcony, then it’s port/left on a westbound TA (and starboard/right on an eastbound TA).

If cruising (in US waters) is limited to a 7 nights or less duration, are we then allowed to do a 2 week B2B cruise .. 

Positive news for sure, yes. And it may give some hope for better times to come.

BUT : I fear that it will still take a very long time for things to get back to "normal" .. and I'm not at all sure that the cruises I have booked for October 2021 will go ahead as planned ..

So, I guess September 30th is still the last day to do a ‘Lift and Shift’ .. ? Shouldn’t this be extended, once further cancellations are made Public ? Noone really believe that there will be any cruises on Journey or Quest in South Africa or South America this coming winter season ..

I’m trying to figure out which beverage package to get for my 14 y.o. son, who only drinks canned, sweet (peach flavor) Ice Tea ? 

We will be sailing on Summit in October 2021 .. is the use of the indoor pool 16+ only, or will our 14 y.o. son also be allowed in there ? And same for the Gym ? 

If the cruise on hold is for a date many months from now, it’s very possible to have it on hold for a week, and probably also possible to have this extended even further if needed.

I premiumpakken er der desuden Red Bull, Vitamin Water (lidt ala Powerade, dvs. vand med smag og stort sukkerindhold), premium-kildevand (Evian mfl.) og smoothies. Disse er ikke med i Classic-pakken. Alt efter hvor mange flaske iste han drikker om dagen, kan det muligvis bedre svare sig at betale pr. flaske fremfor en pakke. Jeg mener Arizona Ice Tea koster 4$ pr. flaske (kvaliteten er over Nestea/Fuze iste i Danmark, med langt flere smagsvarianter), så det er alligevel over seks flasker han skal drikke, før pakken kan svare sig, hvis han vitterligt ikke drikker andet (cola, energidrik osv.).

Min søn drikke IKKE nogen form for sodavand! Så, det er primært Ice Tea han søger, og gerne også friskpresset juice, smoothies og milkshakes .. 

Jeg er slet ikke i tvivl om, at jeg naturligvis selv skal have en Premium pakke 🙂

I’m trying to find out what package to buy for my teenage son? The only thing he drinks is sweetened canned ice tea (peach).

I think we are going to book a C1 (8172) and enjoy the aft view from the large veranda.

We are 2 adults and our 14 year old son.

Looking at a Caribbean cruise onboard Summit in October 2021.

Should we book a S1 for the Suite Perks ? Or a C1 for the aft veranda ? 

Any comments on both, thanks ..

The new refund/FCC guidelines, apparently now concerning cruises 3/15 to 6/11.

Does this mean, that this now also apply to the 3/17 Quest cruise from Dubai ? Or can we trust your refund policy on this cruise, as originally advised in the March 9th letter from Azamara ? (100% refund, 25% FCC, 500 usd per person refund towards individually booked flights etc.)

Ive known people use a screen print of any RCI loyalty level to go straight in at Black on MSC.

 

Seems that its easy to edit these screen prints within MS Paint.

I couldn’t really enjoy the benefits of a black card, had I cheated on a status match. Sad to think that anyone would do this. We got a gold card, from our Celebrity Captains Club match, and are more than happy. Now we will work our way up to the Black card.

Do we know for sure, that we will be able to check-in and board the ship (in Dubai) at noon or early afternoon, and not only at 18:00 as mentioned in the cruise documents ?

We are now also rebooked. Have chosen one of the other departures, and are very happy with the options given to us by Azamara.
