We are not actually going to cruise til 2017...so this is a bit premature, but I was surprised today to see 7 day sailings out of Port Canaveral in Oct are midweek cruises, Thurs-Thurs. Is that the norm? That will make it impossible to not miss school days. We get a Fall break in Oct but it is Mon-Fri.

Are you allowed to have your in room drinks out on deck or at dinner?

I was gonna ask the same "standing in the doorway" question...isn't the point of a balcony to be out on it?

I may be the odd woman out here, but I would never trust strangers with my child, ever. Paranoid much, yes I am, but we live in a world that justifies it. Once my DS is old enough to understand wrong and say NO loudly and walk away or defend himself then maybe I would consider leaving him.

Thank you Moki'smommy! I've read that Oct 17 rates should be released May 16, does that sound about right? Do they allow for changes, such as one week to another without penalty? Our fall break should be the same year to year but I can't be 100% certain til the school schedule is released in Aug of 16.

I am just looking at prices for the Fantasy in Oct, the white wall rooms are $300-400 less expensive, so certainly sounds worth it if doesn't blocking a sitting view.

Wonder is that is the same on the Fantasy?

If we book early, will they apply the discount after the fact if we call and ask for it?

Is there a Florida Resident discount when booking a cruise out of Port Canaveral? I live in Alabama and typically do all of our family trip planning but my IL'S will be living in Florida as of 10/1 and I wonder if my MIL books our cabin would we be eligible for a discount? There would be 3 of us in the cabin, 2 adults and 1 child and only she is a FL resident. If both my IL'S decide to travel could they book both cabins and we decide who sleeps where after? Thanks for your help.

Ugh, well I'm 5'10, so that could be an issue. The no sitting spots could be an issue, but we can all pile up on the bed to watch TV before bed and enjoy the balcony as well. Thankfully we have time to sort it all out. Thanks for the replies.

Our stateroom is on the Lido, so I'm looking forward to being able to grab coffee, drinks & food when all the spots open & eat on our balcony. I intend to spend a lot of time there so hope the chairs are comfy!! 😊

How does the morning room service work, do you fill out a card and hang it on the door? We are typically 5 o'clockers, so coffee on the balcony with the sunrise sounds heavenly! I'm hoping since this will be our 1st trip in 5yrs without our DS, we may sleep in with the help of Cheers, so maybe 6am room service will be perfect! 😆

DH and I tend to be up at the crack of dawn, just wondering where you can find coffee, tea and hot chocolate early in the AM? Also what time does the Lido buffet begin & the MDR open for brrakfast? Thanks!

Following and looking forward to your review, if will be nice to hear a hospitality insiders perspective. We are taking out first cruise on the Triumph in June and am eager for any info & all pics. Enjoy!!!

DH may bail on our proposed Oct 2017 Fantasy cruise...if he does not go then FIL won't go either....so since I actually really really like my MIL I would not be opposed to the 3 of us in 1 cabin. Which cabin cat would allow for a balcony and 3 separate beds? Thank you!
