I bought FTTF for our Dec 4 sailing of the Legend out of Baltimore.  I went on line at 12:01 AM the 14 th day before the cruise.  I was only able to get a 12:30 to 1:00 boarding time.  We plan to be at the port at 11:30 and believe we will be allowed to board at that time.  Will let you know how that works out.

So, we actually arrived at the port of Baltimore around 10:45.  Had to wait in line for parking as the ship was still in debarkation mode.  Made it into terminal at 11:30, one hour before our scheduled boarding time.  We were not turned away but directed to the priority boarding area.  They had just started boarding and were on Platinum and Diamond.  FTTF was called at 11:45 and we were in our cabin by 12:00.  Cabin had been made up.

I thought it went live for cruises departing 1 Dec or after.  So we'll find out Thursday?

Anyone tested FTTF yet? I really want to know if you can show up prior to your check in time.

If anyone purchases soon, it'd be interesting to see if their online check in date changes from 14 to 16 days. Hopefully we'll get reports one way or the other!

I just purchased for Dec. 4th sailing of the Legend for 129.95.  Check in did not change from 14 days to 16 days.

  4. I currently have a Premier Cruise booked for May of this year.  This is my first Premier Cruise and I understand there are a lot of nice perks with this cruise.  The main reason I decided on this offer was that it includes $1,000 in Casino Cash.  Now I am looking at the current offers for Premier Cruises later this year.  All of these offers include different denominations of "Fun Play".  For those of you who are more experienced than I, what is the difference between Casino Cash and Fun Play? I mostly play the slots but modestly mess around with roulette.  I greatly appreciate any clarification you might be able to offer.  Thank you for your help.

  5. The app is well worth the $5 cost for the week. But keep in mind that there are dead spots on the ship where signals deteriorate. Also, distance between devices can impede reception. Trying to communicate say, all the way down on deck one to deck 9, for instance, may be difficult. It can be frustrating at times but be patient. Well worth the $5.

Each device that is registered is assigned an ID number. You can exchange your number with anyone on the ship. With these numbers you will set up contacts just as you would with phone contacts. Remember you must download the App to your device beforehand. Enjoy!!

  6. OK,

I keep getting different answers. maybe someone can let us know what the correct process is

we are CAS guests on the Getaway in November.

do CAS guest have any type of

priority embarkation. I've heard that sometimes they are directed to the Platinum Guest line

Was on the Getaway through CAS in December. Received priority check-in line but once thru the line we were handed a boarding group number just like everyone else. No priority boarding. That having been said, I could imagine that if you are a WHALE or very high roller perhaps you might be given priority boarding with Haven guests.

  7. Hi Everybody!!

Its almost time for our upcoming cruise on the Getaway and we are so excited! The last time in 2015 when we sailed her there was a crepe station in the Garden Grill. Does anyone who recently sailed on her know if this is still there? I searched but couldn't come up with anything recent. Thanks all!!

Yes. It was still there in December.

  8. So my husband and I just got off our first Carnival (Elation) cruise last week and we are already plotting our next escape! My question is...when is the best time to cruise if we both love sunny and warm (not scorching) beachy conditions (BTW we had rain almost our whole cruise this past time but it was still a blast just hated not being able to enjoy Half Moon)

Best pricing is generally the first 2 weeks of December. Also good weather (no hurricanes).

  9. I don't think it had an outdoor space, I would be a little concerned because that does stay open late.

You can call back and ask to change location as long as there are still the same category available.

On other ships the Ref Frog Pub is a live band venue. Very loud and very late. I would change rooms unless you enjoy loud music.

  10. Be in line at 6:00 am with all of your bags for 7:30 walk off and catch a cab, you can make it.

No problem. I was on the Getaway in December and had a 10:45 flight from FLL. Did self-assist debarkation. Off the ship by 7:30. At the airport via Uber by 8:30. Taxi would have saved an additional 15 minutes. Go for it.

  11. Hey, All We have FTTF for the first time next month in Port Canaveral. I have seen mention of this on the boards but nothing specific. When giving your check in luggage to the porters, do you have to get special stickers or something to let the ship know that you have priority boarding? Thanks for any clarification! :D

When you print your luggage tags they will clearly have FTTF indicated on them so that the stewards will expedite accordingly.

However, when I have FTTF I always carry my bags on with me and take them directly to my room since my room is suppose to be cleaned first. If the doors to your hallway are closed you can enter anyway since you are FTTF.

  12. My mock bookings lately give me the feeling that Carnival is seeing an increase in cruiser traffic and has no problem filling their ships. When that slows down, you can expect such offers back.

I agree. With the much improved, Trump economy, more ships are sailing full and Carnival is capitalizing on this fact. They seem to be pushing the last minute discounts on selective cruises with short timing. My VIFP offers box has been empty this month. No PTF. No PTL. No Premier cruises. Not even a Previous customer discount. Guess they don’t need us anymore.

  13. Hi there.

We will be on Getaway in a few weeks and the guys think they want to do a Bar Hop over the week and try a drink in every bar.

I think about making them shirts with all the bars written on it, so that they can mark them on the shirt when they finished one.

Now I´m trying to find out, if I found all the bars.

    O`Sheehan´s

    Atrium Bar

    Sugarcane Mojito Bar

    Mixx Bar

    Spice H2O

    Waves Pool Bar

    Meridian Bar

    Bar 21

    Sunset Bar

    Headliners

    Bliss Ultra Lounge

    Theater Bar

    Margaritaville

    Sundeck Bar

I know there are also Vibe, Haven, Ice Bar, but that´s not where we are going.

Am I missing some bars ?

    Greets from Germany, Nadine

I was on the Getaway in December with my son and grandson for the Western Caribbean itinerary. We did a bar hop on West Bay Beach in Roatan. There are a ton of beach Tiki-type bars along one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see. What a wonderful day it was.

  14. How do you find out about the NCL Casino at Sea offers? We recently sailed on NCL and spent a lot of time in the casino, so was just wondering if we would be eligible for one. We did a Pack n' Play cruise on Carnival last October. There was one for the Elation last month, but we couldn't take advantage of it.

One of the good things about NCL is that you can call their Casino agents and they will tell you what comps you are eligible for. In fact, if you have a specific sailing in mind they will tell you what they can do on that specific sailing, or offer you one that is currently comped. Give it a try.

  15. This past December I was on the Getaway in the Western Caribbean. This was an NCL Casinos at Sea complimentary cabin. I use to get upset that a "complimentary cabin" had a processing fee of $200 per person. However, they did give me a Drinks on Us card while in the Casino and one free pick from NCL's free at sea program. I have done one of these cruises with NCL for each of the past 5 years. The offer usually comes out in July-August and is usually good on selective ships and sailings through the following Spring. I really enjoy NCL's larger ships, the entertainment is great. They are, however, more aggressive in their nickel and dime tactics which can get annoying at times.

Bottom line is, I love to cruise, and the better the deals that I receive means that I can cruise more often. I hope Carnival returns to Pack N Play deals and NCL continues with their complimentary cabins. I have been doing 2 or 3 Casino cruises each year and hope they continue.

  16. My last pack and play was 25pp interior room and 50.00 OBC for an interior. then the upgrade ferry called 2 days before and got a balcony at no charge, but like you mentioned that was last year.

I checked my reservation date for my last Pack and Play cruise and it was booked on March 7, 2017. So maybe a new batch is forthcoming shortly. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

  17. Pack N Go offers are not as good as Pack N Play offers. For Pack N Play from the Casino I generally pay $200 for the cabin and get a $100 OBC. But the big advantage for me is that I generally travel as a solo so the Pack N Play offers do not penalize me. My net cost is $100 for the entire cabin plus the appropriate tax and port fees.

  18. It has been almost a year since I received my last Pack N Play offer from the Players Club. I have received several Premier Cruise Offers but no Pack N Play. Has anyone received them recently or are they just a thing of the past?

I have been taking advantage of NCL's complimentary cabin offers in place of Carnival. I am very interested in your experiences. Thanks.

  19. I’m looking to book a cruise on the Gem. I don’t have a free cruise through CAS but they offered me 20 % discount. Will I still get the free drink card for the casino since I’m booking through CAS? Calling them tomorrow but thought someone may have the answer. Thanks!

Yes. You should still get the appropriate freebie based on cabin category. I booked the Getaway through CAS last December and received the freebie.

  20. Loved the cabana at Margaritaville two weeks ago. Place to camp out for the day and not have to worry about leaving your "stuff" locked and protected if you want to wander around the port area; but close to the pool area when you want to swim and/our cool off.

Love Grand Turk. Walk up to Jacks Shack and do a beach bar crawl back to Margaritaville. Last time we did it there was a total of five bars.

  21. AS long as you are either in the restaurants or bars without taking advantage of the amenities (loungers, showers, and security) I would imagine the resorts would be happy to sell you food and beverage. If you find a place you really like, it is easy enough to pay for a day pass.

    Thank you for your response.

  22. Hi! I snoozed and lost on a cabana for my upcoming December 3 cruise forHMC.

Has anyone ever had any luck grabbing one on embarkation, or the days before?

I wish there was a wait list!

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

When you board the ship go directly to the Excursion desk. I got one this way a few years ago due to last minute cancellation I
