Its not about the ship its about itinerary...pearl and jewel are almost the same they are sister ships..sun is smaller and older..but for me the most important thing about the alaska cruise is glacier bay its phenomenal and you need to either take pearl or sun for this...and sun leaves from vancouver which is super nice and sails the inside passage for me thats the best itinerary

At this time there are great offers at celebrity with really nice perks..The food at celebrity wins ncl hands down maybe ncl corporate havent discovered that yet...They just jack up prices everywhere their product remains the same thus bringing less value to the customer and crews are getting really tired and overworked thus bringing service issues...Seriously i dont know where all of this is going but i am truelly sad about all of these changes..Ncl was really going well and always had loyal guests..I could be describer as an ncl cheerleader 2 years ago.Not anymore...I wish that in few years from now i will board an NCL ship and see the good old NCL..Until then thanks to mr Del Rio i had the chance to taste other cruise lines and i am so happy about this..I cant wait to board celebrity equinox this september!!!

If someone really wants a balcony then he should book a balcony from the start..I never understood all this about upsells and upgrade fairies etc...you are fine with an inside!?Book an inside..You only like a balcony then book a balcony..I have booked from inside to a suite on my previous sailings always from the start and always at the price i was fine with...if a balcony was wirth it then i would book if not an oceanview or inside would be fine for me for the right money

Thats Definitely not a change made by ncl..If this is true then ncl loses big money due to this!!!They leave 3 hours late which means losses for all the onboard shops and especially big loss for the casino!!!An other big loss the ship has to catch up on this delay which means higher speed thus burning more fuel!!!No way Ncl would like to change the departure time...If they left earlier yes that could be a cost saving thing for ncl making profit of it...But since they lose money out of this this change is NOT theirs!!The new increase in UBP though is theirs!!! For our convenience as always

I am so sad that the prices on the gift shop dont come with a 18% gratuity for our convenience of course...Mr Del Rio please fix this immediately...there must be an extra service charge or sth like that on every purchase..after all its ncl

Me too..i was dissapointed on the moderno on my last cruise on the epic...fortunately cagneys was perfect as always i really enjoyed it as well as bistro

Yep most probably thats coming from the port..

Carnival raised the bar but ncl raised as well sth..they raised bar prices!!!oh and they raised the gratuity to 18%.maybe in three months from now they will even raise it more who knows???

Its an other change made by fdr and his corporate friends for our convenience...Honestly i am fed up with all these changes...these people harm ncl so badly with their decisions...every week sth happens sth changes and all are bad for the customer...and for the crew lately as well..Maybe its time for me to move on i am so dissapointed by ncl

The point is that most probably rcl is going to blame the captain for all this mess...for them as a big corporate is the easiest way to find someone to blame..they will say that after all its his responsibility to sail at this conditions...every big corporation would do the same...i am an airline captain and this would have surely happened to me on my airline or on any other airline for that matter...he is going to be the easy target for all of this...i wish him all the best since i know that a captain either ship or aircraft captain would NEVER want to get into a storm like this and be put into that situation...its always a loss loss for the captain and officers on board...So by saying this i can not believe that he deliberately put the ship on this storm...not one captain would do this..i just wish for him the best

On my last cruise on the epic late january i didnt find a lot of lines and it seemed half of the guests had the ubp...i saw a lot of bartenders anywhere BUT it was the first time on any ncl cruise ive been that i noticed very unmotivated staff that seemed trully so tired and overworked...no smile on their face just getting the job done most of the times

Ive been on all three lines..If you want food quality go with summit...celebrity wins here..As far as rcl or ncl i believe ncl is better..i find food and entertainment better on ncl..as far as drink prices with all the latest big increases on bar prices on ncl i dont think is cheaper now but with ncl you can get the ubp which is a great value

Yep the sailings are going to have different pricing because if the price is actually this noone will book!!!Maybe corporate was confused thinking they were pricing regent itineraries lol

If you book on the uk or eu site you dont pay service charge on the package its really free but most of the sailings are cheaper booking them on the us site and better cancellation policy as well since if you cancel before last payment you get refunded the deposit..on eu or uk sites you lose it so check all your options before booking

I am sorry but i dont know if they were any sailaway parties apart from the first one from barcelona which was poolside and a typical ncl sailaway party..All the other sailaways i watched them from my balcony with a glass of wine...it was very relaxing

Unfortunately i never keep the dailies but this was the first time on an ncl cruise with so much entertainment...plenty of things going on at all times parties every single night at bliss live music everywhere it was really nice

I ve been on the breakaway and getaway and three times onthe epic...I would stick with the epic for this one two different ituneraries are always better than the same
