As far as I know you just request your table size when you go for dinner.  Otherwise, see the maitr'd when you first board....

Just got off Princess with its "Dine My Way". Hostess always asked (even though we had made reservations) if we wanted table for two or shared. Did both. For this Celebrity cruise we decided to do select dining with same time for all but one night, and a later time for our late port (Juneau) night.

.......Personally we always share with a table for six being our preferred size.

We like a table for 6 to meet different people, but in our experience we have found that with a table for 2 (at 5:45pm) we have a better chance to make it to the early shows. Have you found this to be the case also?

If like the Millennium, then reservations for anytime dining are for deck 4 only. Deck 5 is for fixed seatings only.

Have not been on Celebrity before. If we do fixed seating for 6 nights, can we do anytime dining for the 7th night (Juneau has late departure)? Thanks.

.......Google Maps has pretty much all the paths accurate around here -....... Light bags and ample time? Head all the way down to the Seawall on Bute through Harbour Green Park - bumps the distance up to a full mile, brings in a few stairs....

Again, thank you for your time with these questions. Very much appreciated! Once we get to Waterfront Road in front of the cruise terminal, I assume (maybe I shouldn't) that it is well marked for pedestrian entry and to the luggage drop-off. We should have ample time. Light bags not too sure----each with medium size suitcase with rollers, 1 carry-on with rollers and a backpack.

Now will look into Canada Line from YVR to Blue Horizon. Have never used it. What is the closest drop off to BH? Thanks again. You have been a big help.

Thank you for all of your comments.....Each of us will only have 2 pieces of luggage and small backpack....... I was looking more at the BH. Now will let my wife take a final look before decision is made. Thanks again!

I think my wife has settled on the Blue Horizon. I read that it takes about 17 minutes to walk to Canada Place from the BH. With luggage on wheels, would that be an easy walk? Downhill? Sidewalks?  You are loaded with information! Thank you again.

All of the above meet both criteria, with some cheapish/casual restos and some swankier ones very close by. There's no such thing as an UNsafe area in the core really - our dangers remain extremely focused on theft from vehicles and homes rather than any kind of violence toward or robbery of persons.....

    All have their relative advantages!

Thank you for all of your comments. Glad that we picked out a few that should be fine. I noticed that the EXchange is only a 6 minutes walk to the pier. Each of us will only have 2 pieces of luggage and small backpack so that may be her choice. I was looking more at the BH. Now will let my wife take a final look before decision is made. Thanks again!

Vancouver, like many other cities, has seemingly had its social problems become more pronouce since the start of the pandemic.  Issues around stanger violence, degration of the downtown core, homelessness, etc are regular topics on the news, are election issues, etc.

Trying to decide between 3 hotels in Vancouver for wife and me to spend a couple nights prior to cruise. Wondering if you can help us  out. Looking for safe area and near restaurants. EXchange Hotel, Blue Horizon Hotel and the YWCA Hotel. Thank you.

There are no formal nights, just Elegant Chic. There will generally be 2 on 7-11 night cruises. People on Alaska itineraries tend to dress up a little more casually than other itineraries

On northbound 7 night sails, what nights are "formal"? Thanks.

We got the only time of dining available.  I would have preferred anytime but 6 was a good time, .........Our embarkation times were available at 10, 1030 or 11......   We did see one gentleman in a tux.

Thank you for your reply. More questions if I may. Looking at the Celebrity app, I didn't see anything about table size for a choice. Are there tables for two? Made reservations for times, but no mention of table size. Looks like different opening dinner times for decks 4 and 5 of restaurant. Disregarding times, did you prefer one deck over the other? Were you able to order a couple entrees, desserts for a meal? We saw maybe 3 guys with a tux and several with jackets on the Sapphire. Thanks again.

....  There are plenty of viewing areas on this ship....  We had no choice but the 6:00 dining time, so we missed the 7:00 show ..........why can't shows start at 7:30?........

We bring small bottles to add to OJ at breakfast, vodka and rum to add to free lemonade......

..... I didn't get to pick my embarkation time, it was assigned, and I showed up just after 11 which was a big mistake.  I will happily arrive later.........

If I have left something out, please feel free to ask.  I give this cruise a 5 out of 5 stars.

My wife and I signed up for the Summit to Alaska for next year--- sister ship to Millenium. First time doing a Celebrity cruise. Wondering if you could post a copy of one of the daily "Celebrity Today" newsletters.

Did you have a favorite scenic viewing area on ship?

We just got off the Sapphire Princess and show times were 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm. 45 minutes long.

Why did you have no choice but  6 pm dining?

Nice that you were able to bring some alcohol onboard. Princess allowed only a 750ml bottle of wine per passenger at embarkation.

We were able to pick our embarkation boarding time.

On formal night, did many guys wear sport jackets? Several did on the Sapphire.

    Thank you.

Michelle and her beautiful Beaver Dehaviland plane are first class. Loved the tour with her…landed on a lake and went ashore to watch bears playing in the distance.

My wife  and I have flown with Michelle 4 times, including one trip to "Anan Wildlife Observatory" to see bears. Plan to go with her again next summer.

This place is the best!  Their fudge is great and they sea otter paws are my favorite.  Last year the Skagway location was closed but they had two shops in Juneau.

If you like Mackinac Island fudge, you'll like the fudge at the Alaskan Fudge Company. Owner is from northern Michigan. https://alaskanfudge.com/about/

  14. Curious why Princess medallion has our countdown at 35 days to sail and the Princess online website has the countdown at 37 days on the Cruise Personalizer. Then after clicking on the "Manage this Booking" it shows the countdown is at 36 days.

there should be shows in the theater every night...there may be only 2 production shows, the rest will be various entertainers...musicians, comedians, magician...

Will watch for the other entertainment as sail date approaches. So far the 2 production shows are the only shows/entertainment on the app schedule for the theater in the evening.
