I believe there is a private charter - clothing optional cruise on the Summit repositioning cruise in April from San Juan to Cape Liberty, Bayonne, NJ
-
Thanks for your opinion and letting me bounce it off someone. I forgot about the port holes in the floor and a possible privacy issue.
I changed my cabin to 8134.

Need help in C3 cabin selection on Summit.
Choices are 8134 and 9175 (higher deck, under buffet, but not sure if it will be noisy or not)
Any/all feedback is greatly appreciated,
Thanks!

Looking for cabin review / recommendation on Summit - C3 - #9175 (port) and #9140 (starboard).
Your opinion will be greatly appreciated. Cannot access spreadsheet as it is locked.
Thanks !

I was on your cruise. It was wonderful. The ports were beautiful. Not one complaint about the ship or crew. Our cabin steward was the very best. We were Aqua and loved Blu. Booked again for November 2019. First time on celebrity after many in RCI. Did not realize until we got home that our captain’s club number had been deleted from our booking three days before sailing so we got no elite perks. I do wish that key west was not our last day. It is easier to have a sea day before returning homeHow did it go when in Key West the day before arriving back in port?
Assume you went through immigration/customs in Key West before getting off the ship. Curious to know how debarkation goes in port in this scenario. What happens with getting baggage in port?
Thanks!

Will put this to good use in a few weeks when visiting Bonaire.
Would be very helpful if you can add places to stop were we can enjoy the beach. We will be renting a golf cart for the day.
Thanks for all your work on this. Much appreciated.

Thanks everybody. Really appreciate your feedback.

Cruising out of Florida for 11 days and parking car at Newark Airport.
Looking for recommendations for off-site parking at EWR.
Thanks.

Will be arriving in Curacao in early October on Celebrity Equinox. Can someone tell me which hotels are closest to the cruise port? Are they in walking distance? Any recommendations / insights that you can share?
Thanks !

Thinking of renting a Pool Cabana or Beach Cabana at RPBC. Any thoughts from folks that have been there? Is it a nice place to spend a few hours/the day while in Grand Cayman?
Thanks !

Does the Golf Carts have a covering over them to help block out some of the sun? Can't have direct sun beating down on me for the entire day.
Thanks.

Does Café Al Bacio offer SUGAR FREE selections of desserts/cakes/muffins/pastries, etc. ? (yn)

You have the 2 choices in Lindbergh Bay, Emerald Beach Resort and Island Beachcomber. Emerald is a little more like a hotel/resort experience while the Islander has a more "casual vibe" to us. Both are fine, you'll probably like the Emerald.
If you use the Search function for "Honeymoon Beach on Water Island" or "Water Island" you'll find tons of posts. There is a small ferry that you need tokens for, when dropped at Water Island you can walk to Honeymoon Beach but it is a trek. Often there is a ride offered for tips, and when available you can rent a golf cart. But be aware that HB is a very busy, little beach today and with a ship docked at Crown it will be crowded. Excursions on day sails and powerboats also get dropped in front of Dinghy's Beach Bar and take up much of the swimming section of the beach. And the return ferry fills up easily and has to return for folks so leave yourself extra time in case that happens to you.
We'd recommend Lindbergh Bay...
Thanks Blue_Water for your tips and recommendations.
Don't want to fight the crowds & worry about the return ferry ride !

Docking at Crown Bay & looking for advise for a beach not too far away.
Emerald Beach / Lindbergh Bay seems close. Which hotel is best for renting chairs where we can have shade and/or umbrellas?
Also can someone tell me about Honeymoon Beach on Water Island? It is a ferry ride next to Tickles Restaurant but what do I do / where do I go once I get to Water Island?
Thanks !

So you need to go to P4 to connect with the Ramada shuttle.
Thanks. I finally got to talk to a live person a little while ago.
You are correct ... for a shared van/bus it is $20pp from the cruise port to EWR and $25pp to a EWR hotel. Otherwise a cab to the hotel is $69.20 (including toll).
I spoke with the dispatcher who wears a yellow coat and you can find him when exiting the cruise terminal. No advanced reservation is needed. Anyone can go up to him and he will get you what you want.

I spoke to the taxi dispatcher when I sailed in February and he confirmed that they offer a shared shuttle to EWR for $20/pp. However, this is a repositioning cruise so you might want to call Bayonne City Yellow Cab 201-339-5000 to confirm that they will be doing this for the Summit.
Do you want to go to a particular EWR hotel? I don't believe that any of the hotels pick up at Cape Liberty for a repo cruise, so I would want to know if the EWR shuttle will drop you at the P4 airtrain station so you can more easily transfer to the particular hotel shuttle you are looking for. What hotel are you interested in?
Probably the Ramada on Frontage Road.

Will be arriving on the Summit Repositioning Cruise on Sunday, April 30 and need to get to Newark Airport. As were are 2 people, there was a shared van service that was less money that taking a taxi.
Does anyone know if that still exists?
Also, is there a shuttle that we can take to any of the hotels that are close to the airport?
Thank you !

Celebrity Summit was forced to sail at a reduced speed due to issues with the ship’s propulsion system. We have been working to resolve this issue, with technicians and engineers flown in to Cozumel to make the necessary repairs. Due to this, Summit remained in Cozumel all day Wednesday and will depart on Thursday, March 9. Because of the later departure, and in order to ensure we conclude this cruise on schedule, Summit will need to bypass Grand Bahama Island,Bahamas and instead spend a day at sea to return to Port Everglades as scheduled on Saturday, March 11.
Could you kindly tell me where to find this information on the celebrity.com website?
Thanks so much !

Yes, I was aware of them but they are not available.
Ship is almost sold out and just a couple of cabins became available.
-
Which 2B cabin on Summit would you choose and why?6053 - Looks like balcony is larger - is that true? Location is forward
6111 - Cabin location is mid-ship
Thanks !

Thanks to all of you for sharing your suggestions. Now I have my work cut out for me to see which cabins are available on the sailing.

Thinking of booking the repo cruise on Summit in April 2017 from San Juan to Cape Liberty.
Which balcony / category do you recommend (Veranda / Concierge / Aqua) and also port or starboard side.
If you have a favorite cabin, would appreciate if you can share.
Many thanks in advance !

Hi 138east -
I am looking at all options and for the best pricing (and safety).
All I need is to park my car so I can get to Cape Liberty port for the repositioning cruise and then fly back to EWR and get my car to drive home.
Yes, you are correct. Embassy Suites is not the answer for me ... but perhaps for others.
Any recommendations of where to park for the week, shuttle or cab/taxi to the port then shuttle back to pick up car to drive home? And the costs?
Thanks in advance and have a great holiday weekend !!!

Just got off the phone with the hotel.
They indeed charge $20pp one-way to Cape Liberty for the shuttle.
They charge $20 per night parking plus taxes.
They offer a Park, Ride & Cruise Package that includes hotel, 2 roundtrip transfers to the port, and up to 10 nights parking.
The rate for 1 night hotel in October for 2 people/1 room is $319.
You could find it on their website.

Looking for info -- free ferry from Dockyard to Hamilton for Harbour Nights
in Bermuda
Posted
Has anyone heard about free ferry service in the late afternoon on Wednesdays from Royal Dockyard to Hamilton for Harbour Nights?.
If you did, is it a certain ferry and what time does it depart Dockyard? What about the return ferry -- what time in the evening does it leave Hamilton for the Royal Dockyard?
Anything you can share is greatly appreciated !!!
