The rivera was okay but would not do it more than once. The beaches were awful, we lost 2 pool days in June due to chilly weather by LA, and the excursion options were pretty limited. Glad we went and they did have some different things to see, though will be sticking to the caribbean for future trips when going south....

mazatlan - it is a 30min walk according to google and on the other side of town. We did the Mazatlan City and Beach Combo though venture ashore and enjoyed it.

with the new menus, the overall service is much quicker so I had to basically order 2 at the start otherwise the second glass would come with dessert

Several ports in Mexico have the same rule for security and all you have to do is go outside the port to meet your guides. not totally the same but thought it might help.... (and what we are planning to do on our Jamaica stop)

Not sure when your cruise will be but wanted to set expectations on central park. Allure lost almost all of their plants in a freeze earlier this year and and slowly growing/replacing them but it looks like it will be a process. I imagine it was very nice when full but when we went 3 weeks ago it was quite sad and a shell of what it would have been. Just wanted to make sure you were aware and not too disappointed. Congrats on your recovery!

Very easy to go back and forth. Just a gate with a little rope on it. It is a little walk to the “stuff” vs the chairs/bars/dive shops but not bad at all. We enjoyed the sea lion show

we were there last week 3/10. no concerns at all. Taxi did drop us off at the front of chankanaab and there was another car blocking the cabana counter. Instructions have you going right behind the cabanas so that was our only surprise. Apparently they closed entrance that way, but they will arrange for a taxi to meet you there to leave.
