  1. Royals insurance provider AON is a rip off never let anyone sell you their "insurance".
  2. Is it possible to host a couple from another non-suite cabin in your suite for specialty or course by course dining. Of course if this is possible would give advanced notice to the butler.
  3. AON will try every way they can to not pay claims whether they are legitimate or not. Just never do insurance with them and you will be much happier.
  4. So sad people get treated this way. I know many gay couples and trans and they are almost all wonderful people. Know one gay couple who are total jerks. Same with all groups some good some bad. It really doesn't matter will enjoy dining with any nice people. Different can often be the most interesting. Hoping for more change.

  7. We are sailing on the Vista in a PH cabin with oversized veranda. This is our first Oceania cruise so we are very much looking forward to a great time. Of course no one has been on a Vista cruise yet, but I was wondering if anyone could give me a few notes on how they enjoy PH Suites on Oceania and any hints on how to take the best advantage of the benefits included with PH. Also we have dear friends traveling at the same time but not in a suite. What do you think is the best way to get them included in specialty dining reservations with us. I also intend to take advantage of of Privee for the four of us and hopefully new friends. I know we do this thru special services but any inside info are appreciated. Thanks in advance.   8. I want to thank you all for your kind remarks and suggestions. All are very much appreciated and demonstrate the kindness in the cruise family. My biggest problem would be getting to the port. I had 6 vertebra fused so flying is next to impossible unless I am complete doped up and driving is almost the same and I hate being so doped up. The sins of a misspent youth topped by old age lol. I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas, we did. Also wishing you a Happy New Year. Filled with many wonderful cruises, trust us we will be out there. Keith and Anne

  10. Yes I never received a confirmation but I was finally able to verify online that the claim was being "processed". What number do you have because I haven't been able to find one Thanks for your assistance
  11. I have been able to determine that the claim is there and being "processed" so we appear to be somewhere along the path to resolution. My 2 issues are that I never received notification that they had received it nor that it would take such a long time to process. It is a simple claim for a relatively small amount of money so I am just a bit annoyed. Such is life for the time being but with my recovery expected to take 6 months to a year, I have nothing but time and federal and state agencies.
  12. As I sit here in 3 degree F weather with a windchill of -25 wonder why I am not sitting on a veranda watching the ocean go by. The reasons are 2 fold. One I am not recovered enough from surgery to be able to enjoy a cruise and two just wasn't able to find a cruise that fit my desires. Oh well it is tough to have first world problems. Merry Christmas to all and to all a great night.
  13. Have not heard one word from them that is what annoys me most of all. I know the claim is there although it was difficult to get that info. A little communication would be nice. Just waiting to see what their determination is before I go totally ballistic and start other actions such as you mentioned.

I already had but knowing my condition began after I placed deposit my interpretation is a bit different than yours as is my travel agent and the folks at RCCL that I have spoken with. If not the truth then the RCCL reps may be unintentionally representing the insurance coverage when selling the policy. Several more routes to take but I don't "lick my wounds" lol
  16. Yes cancelled for medical and sent in docs statement on AON's form. They just can't get their act together and seem determined to cheat their customers.

Just for arguments sake let's say I was not supposed to get my money back, although RCCL folks say that I am and I did the only other time I utilized insurance and it was also cancel for any reason. Wouldn't it be nice if AON notified me of such. After all these weeks I have heard nothing from them and just try to get in touch with them. Mission impossible these days.
  18. I have used Allianze and been very pleased with them just no luck with AON.
  19. For us it is great since I enjoy several sodas during the cruise and we both love different types of specialty coffees and teas. The occasional beer or mixed drink we might have doesn't make any other package worth it.
  20. I strongly recommend that everyone avoid using AON which is the company RCCL uses. I have been trying for several months to get my deposit back. I had cancel for any reason insurance and I think surgery which kept me in ICU for 10 days and has a 6 month to 1 year recovery period would be sufficient but after several months still nothing from AON plus they are extremely difficult to get in touch with by me or my agent. Avoid this company at all costs they are a ripoff.

  22. What is necessary to book Privee and what are the charges? Is the max capacity 10?
  23. I used to be an Avid Regent fan but for me personally the cost/value analysis has made me go with other lines. Just not worth it for me and how I like to cruise.
