  1. Hi Folks!!  Sorry if this has been asked "probably numerous times now".  I have searched but got nothing I was looking for.  Most likely user error.

We are sailing RCCL Ovation of the Seas in two weeks.  We have nothing planned for shore excursions for Victoria, BC and most of the cruise stuff is sold out.  Does anyone have any recommendations on tour groups you have done and had success with?    We are open to anything fun and any budget.

    Thank you!!

  2. Actually there is an official RCI member who does read and occasionally respond to posts. If you think the cruiselines don't read this board, you'd be wrong. Multiple CD's have referred to CC as have other officers onboard some of our cruises. Believe me, they do have people reading them. If anyone thinks they've come up with an idea that the cruise line hasn't thought of, LOL.

I am sure everyone has a free right to read anything they want.

I am saying that they are not searching the boards to find who is sneaking Rum Runners on board and raising alcohol prices accordingly.

Correct also that RCCL has a member who responds to posts and helps with the meet and mingles etc... but they are not the Rum Runner/Camelback/ platypus police.

Also the entire meaning of my post was to try to TONE down the excessive seriousness of this thread...

Also I like the color Blue

  3. I searched the boards, and could not find the answer. I figured I would take a shot.. who knows.

We got the 3 day dining package for Harmony of the Seas.. Can someone tell me the restaurants that were "picked" for you? Did you have any say at all on the dates and restaurants?

Please I don't need someone to cut at past the description from the RCCL page. Just personal experiences only please.

Thank you all for your continued support..

  4. LOL... people saying that cruise reps read these boards..

Really? you can search "rum runners" and see THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of posts.. not sure the cruise company has the time or the honestly care to read. If they do.. they are not going to hunt you down.

They don't break.. they rarely get caught... if you do.. they just take them from you.. move on..

do it.. don't do it.. camelback, military funnel system, Rum Runners, notes from Mom saying she said it is ok, smuggling live sea monkeys on board.. all of these are great .. do them all.. do none..

"my two bottles of wine are fine for the week" --good for you.. they wouldn't last me until dinner that night.. but then again they might be white wine, which I don't drink.. so it probably would last me all week if that's the case.. but if it was red wine.. then I would drink it.. but it would have to be served at 79 degrees.. Can they kick me off the ship for my red wine too warm? too cold? should I worry?

It never ceases to amaze me when people post things that surely will generate the flamers come out, are surprised when the flamers come out.

Enjoy life folks.. it is too short to worry about others.

I am going to try to find a platypus to smuggle on board... will he/she fit in a camelback?? will it rupture??

    :)

  5. I have been on MANY cruises.. I have seen MANY really drunk people late at night at the bars... without the package or with the package.. it makes no difference they still order drinks and pay with their card like it is nothing.

The cruise line is built to deal with situations so people can enjoy their time on the ship.. There are security guards who are trained and get involved if needed... I have seen them get involved at the disco late at night.. they are professional and don't cause a scene.

I buy the package for two reasons.. I do tend to drink more than others while on vacation.. and I cringe when I see a $12 drink.. even though the package may be a little more in the long run

Seriously hundreds of cruises a year and thousands of people on each year.. somehow the cruise ship manages and there are FEW reports if any of alcohol related instances... FAR less than in local bars in your home city.

I have an idea... I recently lost a LOT of weight.. while it is no problem of mine anymore.. why does cruise ships offer unlimited food? I mean Diabetes and CHF are big problems and the cruise ship is a breeding ground of people who are obviously eating too much... The cruise ship should cut people off who obviously had too much to eat...

While I respect the OP has a right to post anything.. ... enough said

  6. Regardless it is printed on your card or not ( usually if you order it beforehand it gets on your card) sticker or not.. in your room or not.. Order whatever drink you want when you get there.

If for some rare and strange reason it shows up on your bill.. they will remove it.

Used the package on Freedom and Oasis.. both had them printed on my card.. both had the soda things in the rooms.

Enjoy your cruise.. they do this thousands of times a week.. yes there might be an error.. they will correct it.. they have to they need your positive reviews.
