There are so many factors.. just saying on this particular case it saved me a good amount.

It saved me 250 bucks per stateroom.

IT was well worth the hassle for me

if you get there much earlier you have to dodge all the people leaving the ship.

By the time I weighed in Flights to and from, passports, things that will eventually cost money at an AI.. (we go outside of it for at least one night on the town).

Cruising wins every time. There are so many places on cruise ships to be quiet and to be rowdy.

My personal opinion of course. I have done Cancun, Jamaica and DR all inclusives (all 4 star plus) and while nice, they all seemed to me built to have big bar, big pool area and not alot else to do.. they do have a nice beach party once a week.

I send Daniel a FB message to reserve a tour on our upcoming June 5th cruise.

I just got a reply from him saying that because of legal issues he cannot confirm any tours for the immediate future and hopefully it will be all cleared up by the end of May.

Anyone else experience anything like that?

following and excited to hear more... we sail on June 5th

I was standing next to my 21 year old son who looks about that age. He got carded twice.. once while playing slots and once while playing blackjack.. both times both my father and I were standing playing with him

I'm not saying he will get carded.. but there are soooooooo many things to do on the ship, just work around it.

cruise should be no stress!

We were on the Apr. 10 FOS and went to the Mystery Dinner. We've been on 18 cruises and thought we'd try something different. In short:

 

No, it was NOT worth it! The acting was so over the top cheesy, the wine was cheap and minimal and the menu was very limited. Save 40pp and go to Giovanni's another night when you can order off of their extensive menu.

 

The positive part was meeting nice people at the table where you are ASSIGNED to. We met a lot of nice people throughout our cruise and there is enough free really good entertainment.

 

I just wish we would have taken the MMD reviews more seriously and passed it up. Never again.......

We sailed FOS April 3 - the bed was comfortable, there was lobster on 2nd formal night and we enjoyed the mystery dinner.

I had the mystery dinner booked, but changed it to pay for the drink package

Is it worth the money? There are 4 of us and it just seemed like a good amount of money for the show. I know it is in Giavonni's but the abbreviated menu isn't that much from what I have seen.

Without "giving it away" would 2 21 year olds and their "slightly Older" parents enjoy it?

we are leaving June 5th. I would love to see the western Compasses... if you can scan them that would be great!!

Just like a previous poster.. I booked 2 on the package for 410 a piece about a month ago.

The sale hit and I took advantage of it and it went down almost 100 bucks a person.

I am not looking at the invoice but I am pretty sure it was like 315.

so I would call and get the price.

remember the 49 a person then you ADD the gratuities... so it is like 59 after everything is said and done... if it is now 47 after everything is done.. well that is 20%

I just called rccl and they gave me the correct 20% off.

It made my choice pretty easy!

I honestly forgot to search!!! lol

Cruising FOS in June and getting ready to sign up for the two tank dive WITH equipment.

Looks like a reef dive then a shipwreck dive.

Should I sign up with the ship or does anyone have any experiences with other companies?

Makes total sense.

My first open water dive me and my buddy were the only two not on Nitrox and we went up 10 mins earlier than the rest of the group.

I will be getting Nitrox, just may not be able to squeeze it in over the next Month.

Looks like I will be doing Grand Cayman two tank so I can see the shipwreck. We have family plans on the other two islands

If so is Nitrox offered or just regular air?

I just called RCCL and had them compare my reservation (which I already had them do about a month ago and saved 150 pp).

The new tax free and no port charges saved me an additional 260 per stateroom. Since I had two staterooms it worked out pretty well.

I just got a Free Premium Liquor package :)

I suggest everyone call that can. ALso today is the last day of the lower priced pre paid gratuities.

Two quick points to make.

1- I look almost every day to see if my sailing gets the 20% off package so I can scoop it up. That is a big savings.. messup on the gratuities or not.. be thankful you have it!

2- I COMPLETEY understand where the OP is coming from. DO not get frustrated or discouraged.. You have to understand that the people you are talking to more than likely have NO authority to give you anything. They are just there to make you go away and stop complaining. If you truly feel you deserve to get the package without the gratuities, then keep going higher and higher and trust me someone will give in and give it to you.

Do not wait for them to call you. Call their customer service line again and send emails ..(polite just like these) to them.

Just make sure it is worth the effort.

Principle often caused more problems than just reasoning and understanding!!

Is there anyway to include the Monkey Habitat then do LFK in the same day?

I thought LFK would be able to hold the monkeys and animals, but in recent posts it says thats not the case. Even so it is only one monkey.

Any advise on this would be very appreciated!

All frozen drinks (one in our party made sure to try a bunch of them) were included on our Vision sailing two weeks ago.

I am pretty sure there has to be SOMEONE who has purchased the package on a recent RCI sailing that can confirm if they are included or not.

Not to be obvious, but frozen drinks are in the picture of the package..

Also everything I have read says the 12 limit is on wine.

I could be wrong, but why guess.. someone has to have been on a ship lately!!

My wife and I are sailing on Freedom in June and I am looking for ideas. Our 25th anniversary is the week before and we are taking this trip in celebration for it.

We are not the renew vows type of people. I looked online at the rccl website and all the decorations are specifically stated as NOT available on Freedom.

Any ideas from the masses of something fun?
