  1. Have you ever had a cast on before? Leave the cast on till you get back, you don't want to take it off on vacation. First the darn thing has been on your arm for over a month. Picture a area of you body that you haven't washed in over a month. It's not pleasant, the area will have skin that is flaking, peeling ect. The smell will not be very nice either. You will have some atrophy from non use of your wrist. This will cause some discomfort. You will have a much better time leaving it on till your vacation is over. Whenever I had a cast on in my younger years, I applauded the date the cast came off and also dreaded it.

  2. Here is an example of different pricing. This is one hour ago. My online Cruise Agency $649 plus free insurance. Princess $899. Same cabin both sites, actually it's next door to mine. I never have any questions/problems, best price is what I want.

  3. I have only booked directly with a cruise line once. It was a really good Police Discount on HAL. I always use the agency that gives me the best deal. One I use gives me Free Travel Insurance, this is what I did for the upcoming Royal Cruise. Some times the OBC is more than the insurance, so I buy it separately. I'm a fungal cruise shopper, I always try to get the best price, it like a game to me, I enjoy it. This upcoming cruise I got over 200 bucks per person off of the best Princess offered.

  4. Funny you should ask...I use hand sanitizer or better yet wash my hands with soap and water after touching a menu IF I touch a menu at all. I normally do NOT touch under the chairs, arm rests on chairs or even the backs of chairs. I use my foot to gently coax the chair out and when I slide my chair in, if I have a coat on, I pull my sleeves over my hands and slide myself in.

Trust me, this is no fun way to live, but I have to protect myself the best I can. Trying to avoid germs is now second nature, having been diagnosed 15 years ago. I was trying to avoid germs long before it became the "thing to do". I know there are all kinds of germs that I still pick up anyway, including airborne. Having a fear of touching things is no picnic. Fear of whooping cough (been there done that), or even the fear of a common cold is much worse. And then add Noro to that and I'm even more cautious.

Not for everyone (or most people), but a way of life for me. :(

We do the exact same things. We fold Bounty Select a Size paper towels in thirds. Three or four of these go into a sandwich ziplock baggies. We then wet the paper towels with rubbing alcohol. After sitting down at the table and using the menu, we take a towel out and wipe our hands well. It might not kill the germs, but we feel better. We never to anywhere without these in my pocket and the DW's purse.

  5. I've had my MagicJack account for many years. I used to carry the dongle with me and connect a handset to it. Always worked. I have the App now on my cell phone and my Galaxy Note 8.0. Works perfectly. I have called home from as far away as Africa.

  6. We take the trams straight toward the shopping area, it comes to a stop and turns around at a tram stop. Directly to the right is where we like to go. You have a direct view of the folks coming down the zip lines and you can see the ship way over to your left. Never have reserved a clam shell, but always get one. I just give on of the guys 10 bucks and they set one up were we want it. You are right at a bar and the food. Take water shoes, you will regret it if you don't.

  7. We sail in a little over two weeks. The DW started getting things ready last week. I went to the attic on Monday to get down the luggage. In the garage I start to vacuum the bags before bringing them into the house. Looked at the bottom and one of the wheels is broken. We love that bag, it a big red Samsonite, we have had it for twenty or more years. They don't make them like that anyone. So I order a new bag from Overstock and it will be here tomorrow. I'm going to see if I can put new wheels on BIG RED when we get back. He is like an Old Friend. So folks, check your bags before you need them.

  8. Buy your Conch Shell at a gift shop. They will be cleaned and polished. When they are polished and buffed they are beautiful. BTW I love Conch, I eat it raw, in a lime salad, or cooked. Ugly critter, but it taste so good.

  9. I pack a couple of bottles every cruise along with several miniature bottles. The miniatures go in with the toiletries. The bigger bottles are just packed wherever in the checked luggage. Twenty something cruises and it always arrives to the cabin. I set up my little bar on the counter in the cabin. I bring my own plastic Ice Bucket (seems cleaner to me). Cabin steward has always filled my ice and kept me in fresh glasses. I like the little cans of diet coke. I pack two or three eight packs in among my clothes. I put four six pack sports bottles of water in a rolled carry on and walk it on the ship. The empty carry on is then used to bring back all the booze I buy. October cruise I brought back 4 liters of Kahlua from Mexico and 4 quarts of vanilla extract..

  10. My Dear Wife has problems with her knees, stairs cause her a lot of pain. She takes the elevator to the muster deck and I meet her using the stairs. Never a problem, just tell the crew member blocking the elevators that you have a problem and they will let you use the lift.

  11. I couldn't help but notice what I assume is your last name. Not a very common one. My mothers side of the family are also Sumner. Are you going to be on the March 30 Royal?
