  1. We are booked on aOceania cruise to South Pacific on the Regatta. Looking at excursion prices leaves us in Shock! Is this how cruise lines are recouping their losses from 2020? From Australia to Bora Bora all the ship excursions are astronomical. Any one else seeing this on their future cruise or is it just Oceania?

  2. We agree with many posters above,to see the wildlife one must do a safari trip somewhere. Off topic we did an AMA “cruise” which went to Cape Town, Zambezi Queen o the Chobe river(4 nights) saw tons of animals, Johannsberg, and then 4 nights at Tinswalo lodge included great 8 game drives. Our favorite trip by far. PS , avoid Johansburg diamond district!! My first house cost less than that ROCK!

  3. BabySis, The AMA site refers to an extension we did not take. Check out their site to see all the options. The weight restrictions were for the fact that it’s a small plane so you can only take like 35 pounds of luggage. Planning is half the fun I always say.

  4. Vino100, yes we did Victoria Falls. While there beside the river walk ,we did the helicopter tour and it is fantastic! Great photos. Saw the leopards while at Tinswalo Lodge along with cheetahs, warthogs, rhinos, lions tons of elephants and giraffes. We did not do the side trip you mentioned due to the weight restrictions, probably should have done it.We have a Son in Kentwood’mi and we live near AnnArbor. Happy Trails, We loved AMA and the entire African experience.

  5. We did this trip with AMA and loved it. On the Zambezi Queen you take smaller boats on the river to spot the animals. The actual “cruising on the Chobe is from anchor point to anchor point, there are only two. One day we all took the land Safari and saw many animals. The hotels we stayed at were the Best we’ve ever been in, fabulous trip.

  6. We are going to be on the Viking Jupiter next January 2020. Viking offers two excursions to Iguazú Falls and wonderif anyone knows the approximate cost of the 13 hour vs the 48 hour excursions. What opinions would you all think of the Iguazú Falls visit?

  7. Aloha CropTop, We are on the cruise now. Presently in Ensenada chillin on our balcony.Embarcation was a breeze in LA, boarded aroun 130 and accessed our cabin right away. As many others have stated ,the first couple days are rougher seas than closer to Hawaii. Our favorite excursion was HawaiianBotanical Garden in Hilo. The “club class”” dining was wonderful as we are in Suite A750 Aft.Sure is a relaxing and quiet ship which is fine with us. Have a wonderful cruise, any questions fire away. BitburgBoy
