  1. This is what I do when traveling. We are cruising out of Barcelona next month on Celebrity Eclipse. I'll bring 2000 in USD's, 500 Euro's and 500 British Pounds. I inform my Credit Union when I'm traveling and to what counties. This way my bank know's when charges start coming through on my debit and credit card that the charges are legit. The bank also asks if I'll have access to my mobile phone and email. Just in case they need to get hold of me. I like to pay cash for small items and taxi's. When touring I bring some cash with me, but if I want more cash I just go to a ATM and pull out more money. We booked a private tour for Rome to see the Borghese Museum. The cost is 600 Euro's cash or pay in advance with credit card and added fee's. Credit card charges in USD is $740. I'm not exactly interested in walking around Rome with €800. 600 for the tour and 200 for shopping. While on the cruise I'll use the casino cage to break down my $100 dollar bills when needed. After our cruise we are visiting England.

You might want to ask your bank how much cash you can obtain daily through a ATM machine. I do have a daily limit set my me.

FYI:You also can purchase tickets on line for Borghese. Not too pricy plus they have headsets for a minimal fee. Seems like a private tour is very expensive, but you will love the tour and adjacent park.d1a28d0349e7937297ab52740b2f9a60.jpgbdfec94d2b92efcca860f33390072e68.jpg

  2. Never really considered a B2B before. After reading these, I am a little more interested now. I might even look into two different lines to really mix things up.

Exactly what we’ve done. Last year we circled the British Isles on Oceania in an Aft cabin and spotted the Celebrity Eclipse from there . Took a cab to it and did a Buttefly to Baltic and Norway.

4/21/18 Today was an interesting bus trip along the coast South to the Cape of Good Hop. Saw the tiny penguins at Boulder Beach and stuffed ourselves at the lunch stop on the water. Took the funicular up half way then walked up to the lighthouse, great views! You be the judge.105852aad307f79414e7997cca216216.jpg5ac5ce36b2c150db9a8432f06f8d1ba8.jpg87abea3cbc0722f49949bf4173125053.jpge7d142230d779d12d06ebcdf85f50450.jpgd1b707fab36ac816b251a1045b65bcea.jpg

  4. Hi,

We're leaving on the Silhouette tomorrow and are trying to decide when to leave our house. What times do the cabins usually open for passengers to drop their stuff off?

    Thanks

We were told 1:00 PM, But “snuck in” earlier. May depend on cabin class and if your cabin is ready.

  5. Agree with most of the previous posts. We spent August on Aft cabins ,first on the Riveria (Oceania) then on Celebrity’s Eclipse loved the view with no smoke, smell issues. We did hear minimal noise from chairs and tables being moved. Love the Aft cabin wake views.

  6. We did a b2b2b in August in Southampton. When Oceania’s Marinia docked we saw the Celebrity Eclipse and took a taxi to it and then did the B2B which is a Brezze if you are staying in the same cabin. I’dsay take a cab less hassle.

  7. On the Eclipse 8/13-9/3. Cabin 2146 Sky Suite Cabin is spacious but bathroom is quite small compared to Oceania's PH. Very littl counter space and no separate shower. On deck 12 hot water nonexistent in AM,brr..Balcony is Great with Aft view of wake. Some noise from buffet above but negiable. Overhang keeps us private from peelers from above.DW loves it so it's a winner!
