Has anybody done this excursion offered by RCI? What is your opinion?
-
Loved it!!!!
Is this the "Luxury Sailing Yacht" excursion offered on RCI's website?

We did the Yukon bus/train tour in Skagway and absolutely loved it. It's an all day trip so would advise booking through the cruise line instead of independently because the ship might leave without you. That is one downside of booking independently.

You are free to do your own thing at a cheaper price than what is offered by the cruise line. However, a major advantage to work the cruise line is that they will guarantee the ship will wait for you. Not that way when booked independently.

Won't be a problem as I won't be shopping in that type of store [emoji1]Give that a try at International Diamonds and Gold and let us know how that worked out for you. :DSent from my Pixel 2 using Forums mobile app

Why not?I've known people to do that (and it's worked for them), but it's not a technique that I would use.Sent from my Pixel 2 using Forums mobile app

Follow up question, do you carry small bills like $5 and $10 so you can say, "I'd love that but I only have $10" so you can get it half price?

Let's say you're in some Caribbean port and you go into a shop to buy souvenirs. You shop for a half hour for coffee mugs, t-shirts, key chains etc. Do you pay the listed price for all the items or try to negotiate a better deal for the lot?

Hello again Dana! I followed your honeymoon adventures and have been waiting anxiously for you to begin posting about this cruise. Me and the DW will be in St. Maartin in mid-May so very anxious to see your pictures and review of the area after the hurricane. Keep up the good work!

I have a million questions. Seriously. I don’t even know where to begin. Please post a few things that y’all wish you’d known about cursing. Advise. Anything is appreciated! We’re from Ohio. We’ll be driving down to Florida for the cruise. (we want to stop at a few places on the way to Florida) but mainly I’m worried about stuff that maybe I should know. Any tips or advice about the cruise helps!!! Thank you in advance. Planning on going to the Caribbean:)
Zoryana ❤️
My mamma would wash my mouth out with soap if was "cursing". But seriously, its best to ask specific questions so a specific answer can be given. Enjoy that 1st cruise and no cursing!

Yes, I've booked that far in advance and it takes forever to countdown! I haven't found a way to keep down the anticipation regardless of how far in advance the cruise is booked. I'm sure most will agree with me they are super excited when the reservation is made and have a hard time waiting. Welcome to the club!

If memory serves correctly the ship will be on Gastineau Channel. Egan Drive parallels the channel and at low tide the eagles will swarm the area because fish get trapped in pools.

I always SMH when I see someone eating pizza with a knife and fork. (no matter what the nationality)
It is a rare day that my DW will use fingers to eat pizza or other "finger foods". She says it is a "tactile thing".
-
Pictures might be a little tough to come by but you can download the "cruise compass" (the ship's daily publication) at
-
How's the pay and how much are you willing to share about your salary?
-
If you get cold easily I'd say go with the full suit and layering underneath.
-
Read posts called "You know your cruise is getting close when......"
-
Suggestion: when you get up, put the extension cord up so it is out of sight during the day.
-
Describe your typical day for embarkation, sea day and disembarkation if you would please.
-
Thanks for the pictures!

Wow. Will be there in May. Sure hope things are better.

Yes I miss hucifer, she was just like that bride who was giving a wedding review. We had to live thru her boarding twice, then nothing. Heavy sigh
I know what you mean. I was following another with fantastic writing skills and then the hurricanes hit. He lived in Florida. Not a word since.

What time can I expect to be off the boat in Galveston?
in Gulf Coast Departures

Been into and out of Galveston once. I bet you'll be off within an hour of docking.
