Never used Uber.....sounds like a good idea though. How do you know the car is yours so anyone else doesn't jump into it?
I've used Uber whenever I could. I've never even heard of a story where someone got their Uber ride taken. Once you book it you'll get sent a picture of the car picking you up and a picture of the driver. Plus the driver will call you. Make sure to look for a discount code for your first time use. They're all over the internet. Can save 20 - 25 bucks.

My goal was to stick with the known shops. In the Caribbean I bought my watch from Diamonds International so it was a legit seller.
-
On my last Caribbean cruise I did some jewelry shopping for the first time ever. I ended up getting a very good discount on a nice watch in Cozumel. From what I understand some ports have better deals than others for certain types of jewelry/watches. This is my first time in the Riveria so if anyone has suggestions on what to shop for and where I'd love to hear it. These are my stops.

Just signed up with an excursion through them and am pretty excited about it. In the confirmation they sent out a discount card that could be used in the Mazaltan area. Do the businesses easily accept this discount card or did it end up being more trouble than shopping/eating without trying to apply the discount card?

Could anyone tell me if relying on Uber or Lyft to get me from the Long Beach port to the airport is a viable option, or are there restrictions I don't know about?

Do extreme canopy in PV. Goes south a way from where the violence is. Just did the excursion last week. Had so much fun ziplining and rapelling down water falls.
I just signed up for this excursion. Glad to hear it was fun. Any advice for someone that's never done this before?

Thanks, this is great. Is Medano beach walkable from the pier or do you need to cab it?

Great video, do you do video production for a living? If you don't mind me asking what software did you use to create it?

Thanks for the tip on Red Frog. Is it just the very first person to physically walk into Red Frog that gets a free beer? I'm all about a free drink, but odds don't sound great for getting the freebie.

Dismembarment - Also a breeze. ..
All in all unless there is an absolute must of an itinerary or a very substantial cost difference, Carnival will not be our choice. ..
Where did you disembark from? I read a different thread that said it was terrible out of the Long Beach Port.

It looks like you may have spent more time composing this review than the time you spent on the actual cruise :) I've been on Carnival before, but this is my first time on the Miracle and first time porting out of the West coast. There was a little bit of discussion comparing Carnival to Norwegian so here is my two cents.
I took my first Norwegian cruise last year. I had been told the service was top notch compared to Carnival and RC. I, honestly, didn't notice a difference. I thought the service was good on all three but none stood out above the others. Some people seem to like Norwegians anytime dining. I found it frustrating. There were times I'd show up and they'd say it's a 30 minute wait which really screws you up when you made plans to see a show after dinner. Then the one time I went expecting a 30 minute wait they said "come right in". Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I bought mine in February. I've used the live chat on moneyback.mx. I was told I would have the money by July 3, but have not seen it yet.

Jens Grans, did you ever get your refund? I've been waiting several months too?
-
How did you like it? Do the pictures/description in that ad match your description? Like I said, it looks like a pretty good deal.

Their all inclusive package looks like an incredible deal http://cozumelcruiseexcursions.net/cozumel-day-pass.html but would like to hear others experiences before booking. Any advice is appreciated.

This is my first time on the Dawn, leaving on the 15th, so I can't compare to the other restaurants. However, I have been to the Brazilian style restaurants before and really like them. At only $20 this is a huge bargain. I don't know if you could find a Brazilian restaurant for under $35 anywhere in the US. I'm a huge carnivore so if the meat isn't the best of the best I'll be OK. Anyway, is it worth the $20 charge?

and it's done so often the cruise lines now check for it.

Interesting, despite multiple trips to Nassau I've never heard of Club Bamboo. Where is it located? Is it walking distance from Senor Frogs?
-
Thanks a lot for the help. That's a great link.

One of the funnest times I ever had on any cruise ship was when we had an evening trip to Senor Frogs. That was incredible. Last year I actually stayed in Atlantis, and went to Senor Frogs late in the evening (but before midnight) and it was completely shut down. No lights, no people, no activity at all. The next night it was open, but very tame, and I think it was just a few locals.
I will be going back to Atlantis this year, and wanted to know if there is a way to tell if Senor Frogs will be having an active night, or if it will be pretty much shut down.

Has anyone been there in the past year? I was there in late November, and the new owner was just starting. He was a really cool guy, and had some big plans for the place. I plan on going again in late November this year. Just wanted to know if anyone had any updates on how it is progressing.

I have a host arranged, and have contacted him, but really am at a loss on where to ask to visit. If anyone has suggestions based on what they saw I would appreciate it. Also, we will ask to eat where the locals eat, so any fantastic restaurants you experienced would be wonderful to hear about.

Has this problem been solved yet? Normally, I wouldn't care, but I may have someone contacting me about a job interview while I'm on vacation.

The Battle 4 Atlantis begins on Thanksgiving so there will be a lot of tourists that day.
Any recommendations for Great Stirrup Cay?
in Bahamas

I've been to Nassau several times and will be going to Great Stirrup Cay for the first time. I did not see much on the forums about this location and I know nothing about it. Any recommendations on what to do/where to go? A good drinking spot is always welcome :)
